Hey rob love these quality safe reviews! Amsec really does make some top notch consumer products. One thing I’ve never seen on RUclips is a review of amsec’s imported bfs series safes. Essentially the import version of the popular domestic amsec BF series. If you could do a comparison video of a bfs safe to a standard bf I think that would be awesome and probably a first! Side note, I’m a bit of a safe/security need myself and I’d found it pretty cool that even the smallest in the bfs series, the bfs912, still comes with a 3/8 steel plate on the door! Pretty rare for such a small package. If you could do an in-depth review of the two different models that would be really interesting! Thanks and looking forward to future videos
@@ja8272 Another excellent choose. Very well made box from AMSEC. Long and short you’re going from 11 gauge exterior and 12 gauge inter steel with the BFX to the 1/8” exterior steel and 5/16” outer steel with the BFll. That increases the body thickness from 2” on the BFX to 2-1/4” with BFll. This actually increases the BFll’s rating.
Thank you for watching! We apologize if you didn’t see quite as many interior shots as you would’ve liked. We do have multiple AMSEC BFX videos, so maybe checkout another for more interior shots. It’ll just a different size, but same construction.
Great vid. Thanks! The door on this looks tough. Would it be easy though for a burglar to just go in from the side? Couldn’t they just cut through the 11-gauge relatively quickly?
Thanks for watching! It’s a very fair and regularly asked question. The most common residential break-in is a smash and grab, under 8 minutes. Rarely does someone know what you have. That said brute force is bar none the most common form of attack. If the burglar was running around kicking in doors to homes and knew where the safe was and brought their cutting tools and a bag to haul off their booty. Like pirates. Haha. It could be relatively easier and faster for them.
Currently our largest selection of these AMSEC safes is at our Carrollton showroom. What area would you like to head to and I can see what’s currently available. We are beginning to increase AMSEC staff at all locations.
I have a 20 yr old 6032 with the traditional lever & dial opening mechanism. Today after opening it the lever wouldn’t re-engage the pins into the safe when I was ready to lock it up. The dial is also stuck to the zero position. Is there something I can do or do I need to have an American Security safe representative out to look at/fix it? Thanks.
Hmm, there’s a lot of scenarios going through my mind. I wonder if there’s a detent on your model - a little rod sticking out of the door on the hinge side? Perhaps it’s bent or no engaging. Sometimes taking the door panel off the door and looking at it from there will tell the story. Or you can email me pictures to see if I can help, robert@a-1locksmith.com
@@GHOSTINPLAINSIGHT Yeah, I’d try the dealer search page on their website. And I’d consider a TL-30 listed safe if you can’t find a Graffunder in your area, probably comparable price wise.
@@cryptopimp5855 Oh the interior carpeting material? I believe it’s described as “Mirrored back wall, "All-in-One" interior, and premium door organizer (PDO) with rich PIN-DOT gray FABRIC upholstery provide efficient storage and visibility.”
Better than, no. Closely rated to a National Security Magnum series is probably more accurate. Liberty’s Presidential & Magnums have a higher fire rating. But AMSEC has that half thick plate door on BFX. They’re closely rated.
@@thomasforman7628 Amen, brother haha. You struck gold buying in 2020. In 2021 pretty much every single safe maker jumped close to 54%. I carry multiple brands and I will say we’ve seen almost all of them slowly reducing prices.
@@RoadLifePursuits Man, I get it. We have seen manufactures come down considerably since the price explosion of 2021. They all run sales or rebates or what have you. There’s deals to be had and you have stuff that’s absolutely worth protecting from fire/burglary attempts.
IDK what it is about this color combo but im digging it. Reminds me of something "desert storm" almost

🤔🤔 Now this is good feedback, thank you for watching and giving us some ideas
@@A1LocksmithofTexas What do you think of the BFII?

As additional protection for doc, you can also buy fire bags up to 1800 degrees.
Great point
Been cool had we the camera moved closer for better view of the inside. Looks tough for sure !

I want to come check out these safes, do all the locations have about the same amount in stock to look at?

Inside the door, does the stickers say that this is a safe or security container?
It’s a gun safe with a RSC (residential safety container) rating. Great question.
Are you a dealer for Graffunder Safes? That is my only choice at this point after all my research.
Thank you for reaching out. Currently we do not.
