If you're not interested in learning how to build to IKEA Alex Drawer, don't worry about watching this video. That's 100% what this video is. A step by step guide :-)
This was very helpful, with very clear instructions! Now that I know what I'm in for with my Alex unit with 9 drawers I'll start this project tomorrow 😅
The screws on the sides of the drawers connecting the railing 8:06 might be installed backwards ? When I did mine I put it reverse so the screw heads wouldn’t be visible from the inside while opening the drawer . Plus the screw head didn’t cause any problems on the sliding rail so for me it was more aesthetically pleasing . Lol that manual can be a bit confusing at times 👌🏼 great and well informed video .
Do the drawers of the kallax come out? Have they changed the design at all? I had one a couple of years ago and my drawers didn't slide out as much as yours do
May I ask if you drilled a hole in your Alex drawer in order for the countertop to stay Still? I’m just tryinh figure out mine since it’s just sitting right on tip of it .
I personally choose to just use 3M tape on each corner of the cabinet and rest the tabletop on it and let it adhere for some hours. When I sat my tabletop on the drawers initially, they easily slide around. When building this you have the flexibility to use the other board that has holes in the middle so you can use the packaged wood screws to screw into a tabletop.
@@visionarywatts I am putting together now, I am having troubles deciding which piece I should use on the top and bottom. If I use the piece with the holes on the top how do I screw it In?
@@visionarywatts hey I need help the side of the top Alex drawer that has holes isn’t big enough for the wooden pieces so how do I secure the table on top for he Alex drawers using the holes?
What about the bigger draw I’ve seen some videos on this draw but mine I have to assemble one of the metal parts on to then start the rest of the process
The 2020 IKEA Alex drawers and earlier required you to install the metal parts yourself but the new version has it already installed. In some other markets they may possibly be selling them the old way. I'm not sure. This video may not be helpful to you if that's the case
There’s an initial gap between each drawer and the walls. I wouldn’t be able to say much without seeing on your end. You can tweet a picture to me if you’d like.
tip: Don NOT use a hammer to put the dows in. I tapped mine in and the thing broke through the other side.
Same 😭
Too late, i already finished it
What do u use then
You can absolutely use a hammer if you use a little common sense.
You made it so easy! Wish we watched a video for the dresser 😂 it was a pain!! Thank you God bless you!

I’m trying to put the drawers in and the screws inside doesn’t seem to match up! It’s only two of them that won’t let me screw it in!

This happened to me, I realized I assembled it upside down 😫
@@lindsaye5236 you good now?
I thought this was Vin Diesel in the first part.
In the directions there are wheels but it dosent come with wheels ???
Love the quality of your video & your voice. Great job! How long does assembly take?
Because I was recording and showing examples while building, it took me 3 hours lol. But I think it should usually take 1.5 to 2 hours
@@visionarywatts Thank you! That makes sense. I want to schedule for time it should take ☺️.
Nice vid man! Where do you get your music from? xD
Hey again 😄 it’s from Epidemic Sound. I usually break down the songs by using the stems.
@@visionarywatts nice, thanks 🙌🏼🙌🏼
love it
