Well, after all my frustration, and complaining, I have completed 2 of these and they turned out beautifully. The instructions are thorough, but I had to slow down the video to follow those points so I could see which cord she was using. It worked. One word of caution though, is that I used 3-strand twisted 100% cotton, not as soft as what is used, but same diameter, 5mm cord as used in the video. I cut the cords exactly to length and I taped the ends to avoid unraveling. My warning comes as you get to the barrel knot section. I looked at the amount of cord I had left and thought, OMG! I’m going to run out of cord, so I cut out half of the barrel knots and now wish I hadn’t. I had plenty of cord to build the basket, wrap a generous tail, and still had about 18-24”of cord left. So it would have been perfect! I used the leftovers and made feathers and a couple of tassels, strung them on the edges at the top. Here’s a photo of my work in progress. Fedexed it to my granddaughter today. ❤️ so, yes, trust this tutorial. It is accurate, and slow down the video, it worked for me. I was bitchin’ like it was every thing else to blame, but it all turned out to be student error. She’s an excellent teacher, but you have to listen. I can’t add photo here or I would.

@@HabitMade I’m assuming you’re making a cord like other wall hangings with constrictor knot to hang up? my question is can you hang it flat against the wall like other hangings? I think cats would feel more secure maybe, I’m 🤔 unsure. I was hoping to see how high you hang it, from the ceiling? Or how high up wall? I guess it’s more important to measure from ground, like how high can your kitty jump? Lol. I’m going to make this tonight! Thanks ❤️🇨🇦
