Awesome videos sir! Could you tell me if snook are around in June. My wife and I are coming to yankeetown then and I want her to catch one if they are around. Thanks
Thanks. Yes Snook are in the back country almost year round. Spring they move out to spawn, and some stay out, but they can be caught back in the creeks from May on. Here is a video of my PB last August ruclips.net/video/-mNcnziNETU/видео.htmlsi=_03QjdiOmOJABcxv.
Tides and wind dictate where to fish. Haven’t worked on the video yet but we caught over 100 trout this past Tues. Almost all were dinks, but it was a lot of fun. Fished an outgoing tide and fished the holes. The reds were along structure and just outside the current. Trout in holes, Reds near structure just outside of current, and then fish the flats when the sun warms the bottom. Brian went out yesterday and tore up the reds. I’ll tell ya, if you can swing a day with Brian it would be well worth the $. You’ll learn enough in one day to set you up for fishing down here. I’ve fished from South Africa to Alaska and places in between. I chartered with Brian a few years ago and, well you see the results now in the videos. Then again, finding fish and learning the area on your own is rewarding as well. I fished hard, exploring, learning etc. before I started making the videos. Had a blast learning. Still though, check out Brian’s Facebook, instagram at fish heads kayak charters (website fishheadkayakcharters.com) for his latest catches. Good luck, maybe I’ll run into you next week. I’ll be in orange bonafide.🍻
I order directly from Slayer because he normally throws in a bag of Chef's Specials for free. Chef's Specials are 1st runs when they change colors on plastics. If I need some right away I'm lucky enough to live near Sodium USA that carries them in their store.
The “Backwater Bums” are special kayak fisherman! Thanks for all the great videos this year. Learned a lot.
High Noon
Lol, thanks.
Perfect ending Red!
Thanks. Yeah, love it when a plan comes together. 😉
