  • Today is a mixed batch of melting as I make some Halloween pieces out of last weeks Nordic gold slag , Also a trip to the scrapyard for a nice motor melt . Quite a few pours in todays video so sit back relax and enjoy and I hope to see you all in next weeks video what ever that may be 👋🤔.
But as always have an awesome weekend😁.
Now Guys if you Feel like supporting the channel it wont cost you a cent as you can Simply just donate some of your time. By just by allowing the ads to play through this will help out a lot and that’s how I make a bit extra revenue and the good thing is more revenue means more giveaways and more treats for the dogs👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻😁👍🏻.

HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

And be sure to let me know what you think of the Nordic gold pumpkin pieces as I absolutely love them personally 👍🏻

WHY did you use any BORAX in the Nordic Gold melt??? ANY TIME you are melting more than one metal together you should you some type of flux, which is what borax is.... different mixtures call for different types of flux, but because Nordic gold is so similar to brass and bronze you can use it in the same way.... and it should cut down on a lot of that slag and up your yield a bit... :) every bit counts, right?

Definitely keep an eye on the boys with snakes! On this side of the country, a lot of people lose pets to the Eastern Brown snakes.

Thanks again buddy. Yeah still haven’t found that big black snake that went missing the other day. And definitely the boys don’t go outside without full supervision and we always check the area before they come out and I’ve cut all the bushes up a few feet so nothing can hide underneath them but again they come up so quick you need to be ready for them. Ingot would be fine he would jump around like a Bloody clown, but Bully would go in for the kill as He thinks he’s so tough🤦🏻‍♂️. Cheers again for the super thanks mate always appreciate the support and the donations 👊🏻😀 have a good one buddy, take it easy.

Ive just got done melting 300lbs of copper into cast iron molds and had quite a few ingots with those nasty bubbles and some that were perfect. Ive spent weeks trying to figure out why and have learned that its caused by the copper getting too hot, if i pour it right after it all just barely melts (you can tell when stirring it with a rod feels grainy like mixing sand or solid chunks) they all come out perfect

Those might be some of the best skulls you’ve poured! I know those flat molds can be a pain to get a good pour in

Your Taco and and big fat pumpkin are wonderful boys!
The smaller pieces were all great, the skull and pumpkins came out perfect. I'm more of an Android guy but that last copper I-phone you made with some kind of case on it was pretty cool. It looked really rough at first but after trimming and polishing a little I said to myself - self, He made an I-Phone and it looks pretty good for being solid copper!
I remember you had an issue with those snakes wrapping up in the door handle, I had to look them up and did about 10 minutes of reading up on them. I can't believe their protected.
That last bit looked like some problems, hope you have a better week! Take care
