Thanks for the tip on Milanote! Your still images are really very good - but your film editing is amazing. It disappears into the story you are telling. Very powerful! ❤
Milanote ad was a huge W. Love the way of being able to create notes for a project and have a layout. Never heard of them before until now. Also great film photos as always. 💯
Hello, Sorry, but I don't know your name so I'll stick to graincheck. You write everything down because your head is full of ideas and plans. But I'm already an "old" man and have to write everything down right away to avoid forgetting it. So I will definitely try Milanote. I just subscribed to your channel and it's amazing. You are truly an inspiration to creative people such as photographers. I am just a hobby photographer, but I have been involved in photography for about 35 years. I have already watched several videos and enjoyed them every time. In the beginning of my photography, I mostly made black and white work and also had a darkroom. But now that I'm a little older and things no longer work as they did when I was 20, I use digital tools to take photos. And with Photoshop the light can stay on 😀😀😀. Keep making videos and you will make this old man from the Netherlands very happy. Kind regards, Antoine.
@@toine1915 you're not bothering me man. Your comment was very kind and very nice to read. I love that you take time out of your day and comment such nice things on peoples videos. But I was just telling you that "graincheck" doesn't read her comments from her viewers because she doesn't have time for her fans, shes "too cool" to even give us the time of day, which is ironic because we take time out of our day to watch her videos but she cant take any time to the people who watch them and give her money with our viewership. That's why I unsubscribed from her channel. Hope you gave a great day toine and keep shooting film!

I love how chill and relaxing your videos are. You have a great voice, excellent musical tastes and you are a great photographer. A few of those photos looked like Monet paintings to me, especially the ones with the sea of flowers around the 13:00 mark.
I've done so many road trips and enjoyed the journey and the scenery, but somehow I didn't look well enough. Since I started photography again, I suddenly see a lot more and take a lot more with me. Thank you for taking us along on your road trip. The pictures are fantastic as always. 🙏🏽
Wow, a classic graincheck video that I have been missing for a long time. Super amazing places you have visited with your family, so jealous of you. Who have experienced so many beautiful places so many beautiful colors as you have there with all the flowers. Wish you had the same privilege as you all nice flowers and colors. I thought I saw you had the Contax T3 camera out once. Thank you very much for this video I am looking forward to the next one. Here in Sweden, summer has arrived and we have 25 °C right now. //Micke in Västerås, Sweden
OMG.... I seek same visions for pics... you are a light year ahead of me, which doesn't matter as its not a contest, but you have inspired me yet again for additional future ventures during desert (or anywhere else) during flower season!!! Love your vids, also love seeing you take your fam along for some of your trips and they are right there with you!!! during my previous tech life... took my fam on some business trips... they came home seeing all the things I never saw, as I was in business meetings or work projects, as they toured Southern California and saw everything I wished, to this day, would have experienced with them. Go for it and never forget to take family along to create and maintain a family tradition to carry on to the next generation!!!
This flower trek handed you a full "camera sutra workout" trying to get in close for your shots. Good job! Even though you felt the flowers were few and far between, you produced good photos. You rock!!
Very fun relaxing spring vibes❤ I'm curious if you remember what sort of shutter speeds would yield no motion blur when shooting the poppy flowers in the wind?
13:39 hits me in the feels. It reminds me of What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams. High suggest watching it. Loved this series and might just use Milanote myself! Have a trip coming up soon and id presume it would help out!
I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that I’ve been following you for a few weeks now, and I like your videos and photos. They are SO interesting. So are you. Hope you can keep up the good, inspiring work!
I am always glad to see a graincheck post pop up in my subscription feed. This one was no disappointment either. You make that camera look HUGE! ;) I just got home from a long roadtrip. The last leg brought me from Lubbock, Texas through Kingman, Arizona and north on US95 to Carson. West from Kingman that landscape looks otherworldly! Then there's a stretch of highway north from Goldfield where there are Joshua trees. I had to stop and make some captures with the Bronica. I'm going to finish the roll this week and then get it processed. I hope there are some good captures there. I LOL'd at your startle response to the horn honk. :)
I love your videos so much! ❤️ thanks for the tip on milanote! Have a feeling it will work when planning more than just photo shoots. Also, it would be very interesting to see a video on your BTS and how you actually shoot, plan and edit these videos of yours 👍🏻
Your photos from the Poppy Reserve are wonderful - love the mixed colors there. That must have been an exciting family road trip. I visited Carrizo Plain and Anza-Borrego in late March, rushed to catch things near their peak. Carrizo Plain had lots of yellow flowers, but it was before the peak. Anza-Borrego was full of color, quite impressive, even though it was possibly a week past the peak. I have a video of my trip on my channel, if anyone is interested in seeing it.
Lovely video! Stoked about the sponsor too! I think this will help me a ton with planning out photography trips. I just hope they don't do the typical silcon valley thing and move to a subscription model after growing a large base of users who rely on their product. So far though I love how it works and am excited to get some ideas out of MY FREAKING HEAD lol
This is such a well shot and edited blog. The photos are beautiful. I just love your film making and editing style. Thanks for the rec on the milanote, I just signed up and started using it =) Love your channel. !
Robert Burns wrote of poppies. “But pleasures are like poppies spread, You seize the flower, its bloom is shed” I think, like that, it’s difficult to take photos of flowers.
Love love love your videos. I find your style so motivating ✨️ I am learning so much from you. My first official photography vlog is coming soon. ❤Thank you
Sorry if this has been answered already, but how are you metering for these shots? Are you just using sunny 16 or do you use a phone/external meter? Also this video is came out a week after I got my RB, so this is a big inspiration to go out and shoot with it
I actually tracked you down from a matt day video at some show I liked your t-shirt and I am bored of male photographers as man I admit women are better at it. 😂
Not a fan of your style of photography. I mean, I understand you’re trying to layer. But the way you just put totally obtrusive objects in the foreground of your images is very distracting and it just doesn’t work. Good video though.
