You missed some key points, IMO, when choosing a printer - you have only mentioned price and brand - but I find more important is the DPI of the ink distribution and the feed path of the paper - many thicker media can become jammed if having to pass around the rollers, as many people have found out - we need to look for a printer that also has a gravity feed or rear/direct feed path. DPI should be 4800 or higher
I just purchased a Cricut Joy Xtra. I don’t have a inkjet printer. Can I use laser jet card stock and vinyl printable stickers with the Cricut? I can’t afford to buy a inkjet printer.
Heat transfer vinyl can't be printed with standard ink jet ink just FYI. In this case, what people are using is heat transfer paper. Standard ink doesn't stick properly to vinyl and just washes off.

Thank you. Ive been researching this but haven't really found the answer to my questions because I have a lazer printer. The only thing I learned was that lazer uses heat to print toner. Not compatible with certain materials. Not one addressed if it was compatible with the cricut itself.
Most media can be found for laser printers, it just takes more looking, is not available in all brands, and is sometimes a bit more expensive. Laser printers are usable "compatible" with Cricut machines - the printer has no real direct correlation with the cutter - you could get your files printed at Staples, etc and it would not matter.

I just got a huge huge amount of laser ink free, do you happen to know what material it could be by used for. I'm trying to do printable vinyl htv
I have a inkjet printer but when i try to print from Cricut it is not very clear. My printer is brand new so im not cute if its the Cricut or not.
