I'll leave this here: I bought two of these (looks identical, but last year version) one for me and my wife. When gaming she started getting black screen but could hear sound. Thought it was an GPU issue. I gave her mine. Again it started going black screen. Unless both GPU's were faulty, i knew it was something else, after exhausting all driver issues etc., i determined it was happening when the laptop was fully charged and continued to charge over 100% (making it hot). Cut to the chase, the battery overheats and gives black screen. Solution was to go into BIOS and change maximum charge to 80% . Maybe this will help you.

I have this laptop does absolutely everything I need a laptop to do mine is 8GB of RAM model. Battery life is so-so at best and the speakers while they sound good aren’t loud. @LexifyGamer not really, specially if you're still playing titles from 2019 back to 2013..there are still lots of old titles that are good which I haven't played/finished yet..besides if i wanted to play new titles i have the desktop or the consoles.

1650 is not great enough when compared to 1660ti or rtx series. I've experienced so many crash with blender 3d in this laptop even render to only 1920x1080. But when I changed the settings of render to CPU, it's running well. I mean, CPU is the most important things because it's for "long-term" use than the GPU. GPU will "expired" shortly every the manufacturer make a new products. That's why there's a laptop with same CPU but had different GPU. For example, - HP Pavilion Gaming 15 2019 with i7 9750h & GTX1650. - HP Omen 2019 with i7 9750h & RTX2060
One more thing that makes I like this laptop is about the micro sd card ports, it's design not "stand out" as other laptops. So practically you can never eject the sdcard. I mean, it's like an extended harddrive if the local harddrive is full. 😆

Lisa's reviews point out a problem (at least for me) in buying laptops. Every couple of months a new model comes out that is incrementally better than the last one you were interested in (or in my case, bought). Either that, or a similarly specced machine either debuts cheaper or goes on sale. I am finding that my search for a "unicorn" laptop could be never-ending as specs creep slightly higher and/or prices drop ever so slightly. I guess I could just avoid watching laptop reviews. However, I like MobileTechReview!!
every 3 to 5 years they usually get a full redesign, typically giving better temps or whatnot. they get better specs every 6 months too but that has good years and bad. like 7th to 8th gen was 30% thanks to 2 more cores. 8th to 9th was a pathetic 5% from being the same with slightly higher clocks
Can you change the keyboard colour? The green may take some getting used to. Then again - black + green reminds me of The Matrix, and some old computer screens used to have green text when you typed on the screen.
I already know this will be a great video but in the future may you add timestamps please? So I know which gaming laptops have terrible battery life and thus can be ignored.
I own this laptop since 2019. Which problems I faced: 1 Plastic connector (backplane) which connects your monitor to your keayboard will brake after 2 years. (The monitor case starts to brake because the chambers for the screws are made of plastic. Everytime you open your notebook you loose them a bit and at some point they just brake off.) 2 Front plastic (frontplane) on the monitor starts to be loose after 2 years and breaks partially, but if you replace your backplane it will hold both. 3 The battery is not removeable, it is inside the laptop. It will will be swollen after 1.5-2 years. Overall no other issues until now. (I had to invest around 100 $ to replace the broken parts).
How do I change the fan configuration in the bios, I have the last version of the bios installed and I can't seem to find the option to change fan configuration.
This laptop pricked my eyes with the green highlights but as I read into it the specs and watched review I thought It was decent for the price + student discount so I got it. Can't wait for it to come!!!

When I take a closer look at the nots between the cover I notice that the plastic has been broken because the glue wasn’t holding it together idk why but I was a bit disappointed ;( so my screen won’t work and I can’t use it anymore, other than that it’s a great gaming laptop for people who’s getting into gaming laptop!
Jak Mullar same my first gaming laptop, before i had a macbook pro 😬
hey, what model do you have? with i7 and 1660ti too? can you tell me how is the temps while gaming, if possible, Assassin's Creed Odyssey? thanks!
@@hendystark8333 I got the 2019 models one (gtx 1050ti 4g) I just use it for league, R6S, total war games, Morden warfare etc and it run pretty fine :D, I'm pretty sure the 2020 model ( 1660ti ) will do way better!
@@jakmullar834 yea, mine is 1660ti. i kinda concerned about the temps, undervolted -150. while playing ac odyssey it averaging at 94-95c. i already repasted it with gelid gc extreme
can you tell me what games you played, and the temps? for comparison, thanks
Omg you are still rocking YT, watched you when I bought the first Surface playing CIV V. Now about 8 years later I am still playing CIV V, but looking to buy a capable gaming laptop for my wife :)
One of the best laptop reviewers for me
Mine has GTX 1050 with Ryzen 5 3550H With Radeon Vega Mobile
Is that good?
and also should it come with Radeon Software or Ryzen Software?
I’m getting this laptop on Monday so excited!
how it's running now bro?
@@whiskayme2281 good

Tiger Spirit bruh same I ordered mine on the 24th and I got it yesterday
Tiger Spirit got mines from Best Buy
I got mine todayyy ;0
blas munoz how is it? I’ve just ordered oneee
how is it? what games you play and what's the temps? thanks
just bought this can't believe the top flexes when u put pressure on it
I have this laptop. Great value for money. quite decent gpu and overkill for office use. the keyboard is actually infact very good , the keys are spaced quite well and the great quality plastic keys allow for extended durations of typing . the keyboard springs are quite light so it doesnt require to apply a lot of pressure for pressing the keys
Overall 9.8/10
do you know what HZ this laptop has?? im looking to buy a good gaming laptop and i think this is the one if it has 120hz+
The one i got has 60hz but this same model does have 144hz version for a few more hundred bucks
I just bought mine secondhand lightly used and was able to haggle with the user to get the price down. Shipping has been screwed up due to the holiday but I can't wait for it to come in. I'm a VR user and a RUclipsr so this would really step up my content game
Can I directly power it and use it like a desktop computer?
zeos heras my little brother does. He plays games all the time, with the computer shut, but it’s hooked up via HDMI to a normal monitor, and it runs fine.
I think I'll actually get this laptop. This video was super informative and made me decide to get it. Great video
Did you get it? How is it?
@@thechoiceisyours3041 not yet but I'm gonna try to get it soon
@@cheeseburgah563 how’s the battery on it?
@@joeyschoonover7495 it depends what battery setting you have it on. There's four different battery settings, setting 1 preferring battery over performance and setting 4 preferring performance over battery and etc. I have it on three and it last about 2-3 hours, while having it on two last for 2-4 hours
I'm getting this laptop soon and honestly it looks freaking amazing
Did you get it? Are you happy with it?
Would u recoment this or the lenevo l340 gaming
Can you change the keyboard colour? The green may take some getting used to.
Then again - black + green reminds me of The Matrix, and some old computer screens used to have green text when you typed on the screen.
great video! you helped me a lot decide on my next gaming laptop! will definitely subscribe :) keep up the good work
Im getting this for christmas, rlly excited
I already know this will be a great video but in the future may you add timestamps please?
So I know which gaming laptops have terrible battery life and thus can be ignored.
I always do battery life near the end, just before the teardown.
I have a question would you recommend this system over the Nitro 5?
definitely
Absolutely
Better build quality, from what I’ve heard.
You made an amazing review ! Thank you :)
Setting the equalizer to live under the B & O settings helps tremendously
Sorry to say, I don't care about HP and their laptops. I DO however, care about your "Pie" Shirt, Lisa!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
PS: Love your Reviews!!!
I own this laptop since 2019.
Which problems I faced:
1 Plastic connector (backplane) which connects your monitor to your keayboard will brake after 2 years. (The monitor case starts to brake because the chambers for the screws are made of plastic. Everytime you open your notebook you loose them a bit and at some point they just brake off.)
2 Front plastic (frontplane) on the monitor starts to be loose after 2 years and breaks partially, but if you replace your backplane it will hold both.
3 The battery is not removeable, it is inside the laptop. It will will be swollen after 1.5-2 years.
Overall no other issues until now. (I had to invest around 100 $ to replace the broken parts).
good, detailed review loved the detailed hardware review .... thanks that helped a lot
I got this laptop in my birthday, no regrets good graphics card and good processor
How do I change the fan configuration in the bios, I have the last version of the bios installed and I can't seem to find the option to change fan configuration.
There's only "always on" configuration and that's it.
Thanks to you I am probably buying this one.
Good review
Oh man a tech savvy grandma! Subbed faster than the speed of light!
This laptop pricked my eyes with the green highlights but as I read into it the specs and watched review I thought It was decent for the price + student discount so I got it. Can't wait for it to come!!!
Yes to Lisa
Hard no to HP
I really like this review because of how it gets to the point and shows us games great job on the video and keep it up
wait it shows us the games? i get 30 fps (with this laptop) on Fortnite lemme find this part in the vid.
edit: yea i got scammed didnt i? this crap cant load apex legends on low graphics (im talking lowest settings, on everything here), tf. and im supposed to have the same laptop. it cost around 700$ a year ago, did i get scammed!?
@@Ptr-ck7if depends what specs you got…they might be rly bad but i saw someone veryyyy smoothly running demanding games like overwatch on an intel i5 with 1650rtx

Hey Lisa, yep, it's me Melvin A.K.A. Lenovovo :-) I haven't commented on here in quite a while, but I'm still around though, and yep, I'm still in Colorado. I digress. Anyways, I love this laptop that you are reviewing, and I just might pick me one up, Lord knows, I'm way overdue for one. I always love your reviews, they are second to none. :-) Have a great day and weekend Lisa and keep those reviews coming. :-)
Good to see you checking in and still watching :).
"If you like it large" 👀
I just bought one, it has SSD, the AMD Ryzen she mentioned, but what is an APU?
An APU is both CPU and GPU on the same chip in a nutshell.
im watching on the pavillion 15 inch gaming laptop
I like your Pi shirt, I should get it lol, nice review I already ordered it
Edit: I ordered the computer not the shirt
Does the laptop feel like it might snap into 2?
I got the Ryzen5 one today. It’s 200 off at Best Buy
Finally, non-annoying, cool and collected female reviewer.
Congratulations, you got a new subscriber. Please keep the good work.
What kind of laptop you think I should get I want a convertible gaming laptop and a stylus included
Commenting this on my new Hp pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop

How is it?
Feels your touchpad also loose? Because mine does.
@@et6779 nah bro
Is the 15-ec0002la?
this computer is great. This computer is the best for its price, and probably the best in the industry for 600. Forreal. Its great for gaming, school work, etc. I definitely recommend this to people that love gaming, but at the same time, don't want something too serious and can be used for school. From some one that can from a big gaming background this is the perfect computer. the computer market has been going up and so has the gpu market. so anyone on the fence and debating to get this, do it! its projected to up soon. this desktop is one of the best i had!
I wanna ask you, I hear slight popping sound whenever I open and close the lid and also when I apply slight pressure on the hinge... Is this normal? and I only get 2 hours battery in regular use.
Too many bad experiences which HP consumer products. I don't advice to buy them, even with good specs.
Agree from past experience, but I must say the 17 inch 2TB HP laptop I just purchased for business use, is phenomenal so far!
How is HP warranty? I've been with Lenovo because they have great basic warranty service.
@@Jakilyn I have a 17in HP omen and its pretty reliable (battery and overall performance). Maybe it is a common thing for the 17inch laptops.
Battery, display and processing is superb and my previous laptops were a Sony vaio and apple macbook pro
Agreed for some points but not bad at all. For example, i've experienced HP laptops never got the high quality audio system & 3.5mm ports with that slow response. But this Pavilion Gaming had a bit of improvement
Hi guys! I'm actually planning to buy this one for school and light gaming. It is my first premium laptop. Is HP laptops reliable? And how is the build quality? Or should I buy another brand (Asus FX505 maybe?)
Thank you for your video. Do you know if the big round HP badge at the back of the screen, lights up or is just for decoration?
I just wanted to play reach xD
My GT 1030 can play it decently. You should be fine.
does this have a camera i can use for streaming D&D nights with friends?
Amanda Swenson yeah it does 2:34 look
worst laptop ever I have used, Do not buy this laptop even with good specs it does not perform well. it is also heated when you play a game for more than 20 minutes also the fans are very noisy.
Looks nice LISA! I am a sucker for Black & Green. Love your reviews. Have a great day. 😎🍻👍
Been with Lenovo because of it's warranty and good customer service, but how is HP's warranty program?
Hi, thank you for your brilliant review. I'm willing to buy either an HP Pavilion 15-ec1006na, or a HP OMEN 15-en0008na. My question is, is it possible to install an addition HD drive? I'm getting contradictory answers and I don't find much either on the official channels
Nice Review but I really thought she would talk about the hinge on this laptop...
How do you like this compared to the new Lenovo Ideapad 3i?
Just wondering if this PC could support two external monitors
I have one question about the 144hz panel. You have said that it has AdobeRGB coverage on 75% level. Is there any test which gives more details on that? That would be a great help for me!
Hi Lisa,,it's been a few years since i seen your reviews...Great to see your videos again....i see your still in the Mix with Reviewing...i think that's awesome...you were always my favorite go to person for reviews back a few years ago...i'm in the market for a budget gaming laptop so i see this is pretty decent one...Thanks for this Review..i may end up going for this one....Talk to you again soon and i hope you are safe...
Would This be good to stream on twitch
I have a question. I just bought this laptop and Im worried about the fans. When I was playing a game the frames started dropping. I was wondering when the fans turn on.
How long would you say that the battery lasts? I’m considering looking into this laptop and I’m curious
How's the battery life? Is it excellent or not?? Rate it out of 10, please :)
So you're saying it would perform better with two 8gb ram cards instead of just the one 16gb they put in?
Yup. 2 slots always perform better than their one-slot equivalent
Finally, someone that compares rigurously more budget laptops and other gadgets. Those screen metrics have saved me from a bad purchase (and discovered me a good unexpected one)
Do you recommend this laptop or the Acer nitro 5
I have this laptop and it is better than acer nitro 5 as nitro 5 has heating issues and this gives me 240 fps in fortnite and 300 above in csgo and it can handle heat it doesn't go over 82 even after 5 hours of gaming
I've being using this laptop for TV Series Program (Video Editing Full HD) and what a surprise, it can handle it very well. Thumbs Up to HP, its cheap and powerful compare to MacBook Price!
