The Xpeng G6 is a remarkable car, since it's pretty much the first model from any manufacturer that is close to Tesla in every aspect. Yes, it has some more goodies, but the only big difference is that the G6 has 'enhanced autopilot' as standard. Overall the cars are very, very similar. Which one to buy probably comes down to personal taste or brand affiliation. At the moment G6 is the better option for someone who cannot wait. But the real comparison will be when Juniper is out. Everyone than can wait should wait. My renting finishes in 4 months but I'll rent something else for a few months until juniper is out
That’s obvious that he is getting paid. Very biased. He is obviously a sale person for them. He should declare this. How can you say the car destroys the Model Y based on specs alone. The car has not had a track record here so how do we know how reliable the car will be. I hate the model Y but would rather buy the model Y over something that has just been released here.
Can't compete with government-backed manufacturers. That's why countries have extra custom duties for Chinese cars. I guess Australia doesn't. No car industry to protect.
@@DzeiEidzIt's more suitable than that. The Chinese state owned banks give strategic companies cheap credit. That doesn't just save the car manufacturers money. They buy from aluminium supplies, who built their smelters on cheap credit. They buy from power stations, built with cheap credit. They build their factories with steel, from furnaces financed on cheap credit. So everything in the Chinese manufacturing ecosystem is a bit cheaper.
Great overview Sam! I looked at the Dutch website of Xpeng and the NMC battery long range version , rear weel drive, standard colour can be ordered for an expected price of 49.188 euro’s. As Sam says it comes with standard many options. Tesla ModelY is similar price in the Netherlands.
I’ve enjoyed your videos but this is a straight up product ad. You need to be clear on this stuff to keep credibility! Check out other RUclipsrs on how to do this very clearly.
Wow, a lot of negativity here. Sure thumbnail is click-baity, but we all know how that works by now. To me Sam is just reporting enthusiastically. He chucks out so many vids, he’s bound to come across contradictory at times as things change. If something even better comes out next week, he’ll report on that enthusiastically too. As many know he’s a huge Tesla fan and a shareholder. I have some shares with them too, so I dont like hearing them getting beaten in anything, but… progress, competition, improvement, price drops… this is all good stuff and exciting to hear about. That’s my take anyway.
It's not though, is it? I agree Teslas are demonstrably really safe, and by virtue of being electric, cause far fewer deaths anyway. But the top priority for people buying cars is the number of seats, followed by the price. If it doesn't have enough or has too many seats, it's a no go immediately. You don't buy a 2+2 for your family of six kids. You also don't buy outside your price range. Much like buying houses, location, location, location. Seats, seats, seats. Everything else is less crucial.
I actually drove the G6. It drives well and is pretty. There are some disadvantages however. First off it has the same price as a Model Y here in Europe but not the same appeal of the brand. Then there is no frunk. Also the boot is smaller. It competes well with the actual Model Y as to charging speeds and some other things, but wait to see the Juniper first.
@@GDM22 That is because it is not sold there. In Europe and the UK it certainly does and has been independently rated as superior. Here in the UK there are plenty of Enyaqs around but I have hardly seen a model Y.
The next model Y is not far off. I'll make my judgment when I see that and when there's a few thousand G6s that have driven 200k plus kms. That will tell the tale.
@@robbieb8274 That is not a wise notion. But besides the battery, the other things with the car are not as well built as US built Teslas. Not to mention that buying the reverse-engineered cars will be supporting a not-so-good regime.
A quick google search would tell you Chinese Tesla is a higher build quality at a faster rate, reverse engineer is China's speciality? You should apologise and credit china. What is your explanation for lying?
Battery warrant for Long-Range Model Y is not just 4 years, but 8 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period. Also the EPA range of the Dual-Motor Long-Range Model Y is 310 miles, equating to 499 kilometers.
Also, the Model Y is real while the Xpeng is not. Just because they say it is this and that doesn't make it so until it is actually selling and has done so for a time. I can say my car gets 600 km range but you need to find out first before starting to tout that. How many Tesla killers have there been in the last decade? None have killed anything.
Well two things - he was talking about the whole vehicle warranty, not the powertrain and battery and secondly - he's talking WLTP and the Model Y LR is actually 533km. Sam just get's stuff wrong all the time. He pumps out at least one video a day and very little fact checking.
Great to hear! I will start with its good to raise the bar. In australia’s case, you don’t have an auto industry. Which means this type of competition has a greater impact which is good. But this entire conversation is just speculative. I’d rather we had the same conversation when the vehicle hits the market and we have genuinely reviewed and evaluated the vehicle.
Buying a Chinese car today means you are funding the Chinese military buildup so it might be a glittering little trinket today but sometime in the near future you will be invaded with the military armaments You help fund
XPeng is among the best in the industry when it comes to software. Heck, they literally OTA every month in China, and every week for beta testers. Their OTA is also optimised to update in just a few minutes.
@@ChickensAndGardening Despite what the media wants you believe, this can be easily controlled by your data service provider. It's the job of your dealership to ensure that. In any case, you're not going to OTA from a Chinese server. It will more than likely be hosted on a domestic server.
I am a taxi driver and bought 2024 Model Y LRA a couple of weeks ago. I have no regret at all. I am not brand fan of Tesla but both price point and practicality point Model Y is better than G6. not only that software wise and great safety rating.
If an aggressive entrepreneur in America were to make a deal with XPeng, they might build them here with US-produced software. I can easily see a U.S.-made XPing with U.S. software to compete with Tesla. Even if there were a less-fantastic model at a lower cost, they could encourage U.S. manufacturers like GM to get into the EV market with a great product.
@@markhathaway9456 AFAIK, it's not a software(spying) issues in the US, like it was for China with FSD, It's simple tarrif trade protectionism. The Biden admin hiked tarrifs on Chinese autos from 25% to 100%. That was just to protect the US automakers (and workers) from competition they would not survive. Pprobably unfair/subsidized competition, but the U.S. is no stranger to that,.. it's just that the rules of the wrld economy are not supposed to apply to them)
they will all go down, including EU makes, if they do not merge with the Chinese. It's their last chance. And a chance for Chinese to get fast access to new markets. Or it will be the same as with Ericsson. They thought they were the best in GSM business and that nobody will ever buy funny sounding Chinese brands. But people got used to them very quickly.
@@joequinal He also snuck in a discount promo at the start.. This needs a paid promo disclaimer on it. It's like he read straight form the XPeng runsheet. Disappointing
I doubt X Peng is making money on this. Also, the value of Tesla’s FSD system which is built in to every car is a huge amount of value. You didn’t mention this. But given all that it looks like an attractive package. But I would rather pay 10k more to buy a Tesla regardless just because of the FSD system, charging ecosystems and I would rather support a Western based company
Why would anyone be offended by a solid comparison of two great vehicles? As a very happy 2022 Model Y order LR I welcome competition. My model Y is the last vehicle I’ll ever buy. I’ve saved up for FSD and will use it as soon as it becomes available with no driver needed. The X Peng sounds like a great car. Here in Canada it’s not yet available. I’ve already done 4 major road trips with my MYLR. All 4 trips were flawless with no issues. If this X Peng is truly better, it will come out in their sales.
From what I see on the Belgian Xpeng website, the long range G6 with an optional paint is 48.790€ thus cheaper than the long range RWD model Y with our local prices. I'm tempted by the G6 but there are very few dealerships and service centres in the country compared to Tesla.
I been enjoying my Model Y's heated steering wheel and seats when enter car, that I preheated from my phone a minute earlier. Had it for ages, how do you guys not have heated steering wheels?
1. Tesla can easily compete on price. 2. Tesla is the only OEM with FSD. 3. Tesla will have a product / services ecosystem _( Tesla INSURANCE etc )_ within which, you'll want to be be. 4. Tesla will soon integrate *GROK AI* with the vehicles. 5. Tesla has the supercharging system which will cost less for Tesla vehicle owners. 6. Tesla vehicles are ROBOTAXI when FSD in complete and your vehicle can earn you $💰💰💰 7. Tesla has the best looking and functioning UI within the industry. 8. Tesla's proprietary HEAT PUMP and efficient "octovalve" system is the envy of all other OEMs. *It's NOT just about the CAR.... it's about the total technology & services package.*
Xpeng G6 comes with a 66kWh LFP battery option that charges way faster than the LFP SR model Y and has the vehicle to load option. Kinda better than my SR Model Y if you ask me. Plus 44K €., perforated seats and front display, standard parking aasist. Looks indeed better value on paper.
At AUD60,000 (HKD311,742), the XPeng G6 is good value for money considering the high build quality and technical specifications. I particularly like the spacious boot/trunk space (570L), autopilot and self-parking. The driving range of the various G6 models are only mediocre; we should now be looking at least 600-700km or more. The main negative for me is the NCM chemistry - increased fire risk compared to LFP batteries.
Like many things, it depends on the perspective. Good for the company that makes a profit selling their car. Great for the consumer when they are buying a car sold at a loss. However I would agree with your comment. Zeekr is likely selling at a loss.
I did not hear you talk about FSD or more importanly the lack of it. FSD is for me the deciding factor, I am fully aware we will not see FSD in Australia for some time. I think vehicles in the forseable future without FSD will not retain their resale value. I am waiting for Model Y Juniper - I will be dissappointed if Juniper does not have longer range, faster charging and heads up display. Boot space is important for us for travel, prams or even wheel chairs At the end of the day, competition should be good for Tesla and consumers, hopefully Tesla is on top of this.
FSD is a Chinese open source AI software code sold to Elon Musk, Elon Musk was furious when found out he had to pay for it,the Chinese engineer told Elon Auto Pilot and FSD are two different thing lol After the Chinese engineer instal the programme and left, Elon accused the Chinese engineer of stealing his own FSD lol yes the G6 has FSD since it is Chinese source code.
@@rudyadjetey5120 Then it's just US market lacking competition, and people are so used to outdated tech from Tesla. When they see any product like this that's better in specs (While the G6 car is more than a year old from now). Like MKBHD always reviewing those cars to be top of the game, but they're not competitive at all worldwide.
Dont rush out and do anything people until you can compare this car to the pending Model Y Juniper. Sam, you are comparing the current model Y to the future G6 Xpeng. By the end of this year, the new spec Model Y will most likely be known. Its worth waiting to compare all the offerings from Tesla, Xpeng and Zeekr before you make a buying decision. BTW Sam are you getting a commission from the discount code🤔
It's not a future G6. This is the original G6 that came out in China last year. The upgraded G6i will likely be coming next year looking at XPeng's update frequency.
Driven both, MY has speed (acceleration) and handling (cornering on tight suspension) whilst G6 has comfort (deeper contoured seats) and better automation (autopilot and self parking at the moment). For some reason XPeng has lept ahead in tech (point to point FSD in China). It will be interesting how Junipers prices itself against the G6. Both are great cars so it depends what your priorities are.
I need a basic, basic, Basic EV to get me from here to there. With a pretty good battery. I don’t need any computer crap in my car, I already have that in my phone.
With the CALB Long Range NMC Battery fitted to the XPENG G6:, is it safe to charge this battery to 100% and allow it to drain to almost 0% without causing potential thermal runaway. Also is the CALB NMC battery as safe as the CALB LFP battery fitted to the Standard Range EXPENG G6
I question the reliability of these cars, any stats of that? Chinese batteries are great but what about the rest of the car, will it last like the battery?
There are ev taxis operating in the city of Shenzhen in China since 2017 when their entire taxi fleet went full electric. Some of them, nostly Byd E6 model have clocked up hundreds of thousands of km in mileage without having to change their original batteries. Hope this answers your concern
Their cars have been on the roads in China for over 5 years. XPeng is known to use high-quality materials for the chassis that you don't normally see at that price point.
@@user-nk1qg7ze9w The get their batteries from a variety of suppliers, depending on the car. CALB, EVE, BYD. But you'll never see them using CATL batteries as the CEOs had a fall out.
The G6 sounds GREAT for you. But for my use here in the USA the ease and use of the Tesla Supercharging network far out ways the few neat things of the G6. We plan to buy another model Y performance when the next version comes out hopefully sometime next year. Also, a second deal breaker for me is FSD. FSD Version 12.5 is so amazing I rarely, if ever, have to intervein. For me the extra $8,000 is a bargain for the amazing benefits you get with FSD.
What!! Free charger and installation?!?! Amazing SAM! Well done...solid offer and might** take you up on that...does this persuade me to bin my Model Y Jupiter plans....?!?? Hmm...I dont think so. Gotta get me some FSD and robotaxi action!!
13:30 That auto-packing feature is useful, if it is as it is claimed. I guess Artificial intelligence is integrated in that type of design, together with an array of strong sensors.
5:13 thats dc chargeting not AC charging. unless you travel alot or those dc chargers exist you won't get those speeds. infrustructure has to exist or its just saying the car can do it just to sell it.
Hi Sam can Australian owners actually find public chargers that can take advantage of the charging speed? Any idea on how the software stacks up with Tesla?
The long range model y is 533 km (not 455)It also has a heated steering wheel. Get your facts right. It feels like you are getting a kick back when people order through your link so you’re making the G6 sound better.
Also, what about the front storage in the Xpeng? Any front storage? Also, all the lights and do-dads in the interior and saying the exterior looks better is all subjective and shouldn't even be in this comparison. Apples to apples, please.
@@sambiraAt 20:54 he does indeed say it has no frunk. However, 571 liters is ridiculous for a car this size, it's less than my model 3, not to mention the nearly 854+117 liters of cargo a model Y offers, that's waaay more difference than stated.
He was compering the standard. It's a 66 KWh LFP battery in the xpeng G6, charges at 240 kW speeds and has vehicle to load feature and all parking and driving assistance are standard. I mean I own the Model Y SR Chinese version and the Xpeng clearly is just better value on paper.
@@krause79 The Model Y SR has a smaller battery of 60.5kWh but still has better range than the XPeng with a bigger battery according to EPA standards. The Model Y completely destroys the XPeng in cargo space and resale value, not to mention the software and infotainment hardware, yeah it’s not better.
I wanna thank you Sam for not going on and on about subscribing/liking blah blah blah. Once in a while sure, but mostly your like "hello my friends my name is sam evans welcome to the channel'. Appreciate it and your videos.
so Sam.will you be doing a review of the ONVO L60 which is NIOs competitor for the Model Y, and has just rolled the first car off its production line? I am wondering what impact these 2 cars will actually have on the model Y sales, and also which will have the greater success.
Many people make a great thing about range with I think never really stopping to think about what it actually means. The oil interests have done a great job of making this a major problem when in fact for the average driver it is anything but a problem. 570 Km range on a single charge is somewhere around six to seven hours of continues driving, in other words almost a full day of doing nothing else other than driving and yes I have no doubt that there will be those who will claim that they need that but they are few and far between. To put that into context that is the equivalent of driving from Sydney to Melborn without stopping and having done that drive I dont think that anyone but a fool would try it without a break. Yes the public charging network needs to improve but that will happen with time, even the petrol network 40 years ago was such that you had to consider very carefully where you refueled on a long trip and most people carried a reserve can of gas just in case. The realty is that the average Australian driver drives 33.2 Km per day, that means with a 500 Km range you need to recharge twice a month. How often do most people refuel their gas guzzlers in a month.
Couple comments/corrections- my model y has a heated steering wheel, I use the frunk often - great for shops with front to kerb parking. I get no more than 400k per charge. I do love it though.
You compared it to the standard range on range. Then the long range on weight. Then the standard range on charging speed. What happened to your love of lfp batteries? The model y standard range battery will last much longer. Over the air updates? Frunk? This was clearly a marketing piece.
I think Xpeng is like a general use common folks car but Tesla is well, a Tesla - state of the art in performance and Tech. It is like iPhone vs a Chinese smart phone
Nobody buys iPhone now because it's a piece of over-priced junk, protected by Biden's govt. Tesla is NO LONGER the state of the art. It has NO STATE .... a outdated car.
When people in China talk about hi-tech cars, they associate it with XPeng or one of the Huawei-inside brands. Tesla is only state-of-the-art outside of China.
I used to own an iphone and then moved on to a Samsung smartphone. I now use the Huawei P70 Pura Ultra, possibly the best smartphone/camera system in the market at the moment!
Im from europe, xpeng is really listening to the customers regarding update how to handle/ driving, infotainment etc xpeng has done a ota where Europeans wants maybe small things to be difference but xpeng listened and change.. how many car companies does that.. all in all - xpeng customer service, feedback ect is world class- xpeng has groups on Facebook where customers and potential customers can ask questions and xpeng reply fast - customer service is the next level xpeng will also push ota every month/ 2 month to update self-parking, driving ect
@@archidube they destroyed themselves. They sat on the best car makers throne as they will be there forever. 10 years doing nothing, while Tesla and the Chinese were developing new technologies. They are so far behind now, they can never ever make up.
Sam, why do you think that Tesla has been holding off on upgrading the Model Y (juniper). They are waiting for the competition to heat up before showing their cards with the Model Y Juniper upgrade. They want to see what the competition has to offer before rolling out the Juniper upgrade. I will be very surprised if the Model Y Juniper is not superior to or at a minimum competitive with the G6 when released. We should know next year. I don't think Elon will let the Model Y fall from #1.
It will stay the best selling car for a good while, but there are now many EVs that are equally best some cheaper, so no need to pay a premium to buy that title
Thanks Sam. How about a comparison with the BYD Seal Performance, 3rd best selling EV in AU after the Model Y and Model 3? Similar price range and performance, right? The Seal also has an LFP for its long range, not NMC... with the LFP being slightly safer and more tolerant of 100% recharges... I'd say that the Xpeng may have better software than the Seal (at the moment!), and better AC charging at 11kW, plus better DC charging, but good luck finding a charger that'll make that a point of difference! 🙂 There's certainly a lot to like with the Xpeng but I guess the NMC battery puts me off a little, as per the Model Y.
10 Reasons I’m waiting for Juniper Model Y Long Range with AI-5: 1. Safety (both crash safety and crash prevention safety systems) 2. Reliability - Tesla vehicles use the most reliable batteries from various OEMs, including their own 4680s 3. Charging reliability, availability, and ease of use 4. Software updates increasing and improving vehicle features and customer value 5. Long term support from a profitable company likely to stay in business for decades 6. Product maturity. Most of the early production bugs have been resolved and the product significantly refined over generations 7. Space efficiency allowing my family to pack everything comfortably for long road trips, car camping, moving furniture, big box shopping, etc. 8. Availability of repair and maintenance services from mechanics and technicians familiar with Model Ys 9. Potential unsupervised full self driving 10. Potential income generating/saving services (V2G & battery backup for home, providing AI cloud services, Robotaxi)
I have been interested in the G6 since reading about it. Most people want long range i agree. Servicing costs i want to know about though. I know the Tesla sales team have told me they don't need to service often.
Sounds like there are several things that are a bit better, I don't think I would call it miles better in nearly every way though. I do like the vehicle to grid ability. Also I might have missed it but I don't remember anything about over the air updates, and do they actually do them?

A rational EV Enthusiast about to pull the trigger in this class / type would weigh up the G6, MY 2025, Zeekr 001, Sealion 07 at least. Each differ in what they have to offer in terms of performance, comfort, tech, charging, range, etc. Certainly consumers in some countries will have their choices limited due to tariffs. Its a good time to be a consumer and tough to be a manufacturer.
I drive my Tesla 3 from LA to El Paso Tx, every two months, and is comforting to know that there are chargers everywhere. The software works good, (I ordered my car with FSD). I purchased my Tesla in October 2018 and I have not had any problems with it, other than tires at 54,000 miles and the 12 volt battery.
Good points are made. Glad that other competitors are making a compelling EV. FSD and the realistic promise of unsupervised FSD means I would not consider a non-Tesla

The g6 has radars, lidars and self driving that can cope with a busy Chinese city. Tesla's can't do this. Keep waiting for the Tesla fsd rainbow 🌈 more likely they'll just take the indicator stalk away with cheaper brakes.
Interesting, what about servicing centres, smash repairs, parts? Tesla are far from perfect but have facilities in place.. similar concerns for Zeekr.. not just the vehicle but service, parts and repairers need to part of the decision and resale brand image..
Agreed. Also what are the servicing costs. And there is the Tesla supercharger network. All very well having this superfast DC charging speed but where are these chargers? Also it has a longer range because it has a much bigger battery so presumably less efficient and therefore more expensive to run. To be fair it is definitely worth a look but I think that the claim that it blows the MY out of the water is a touch presumptive.
If it’s like Tesla’s, the battery is bolted in and fairly easily removed. Battery recycling is a big topic but there are several companies planning to do it. It’s early days and most car batteries are still in use.
Yes, I confirm my 'old' model Y does already! I agree that he is comparing previous v future models and there will be a future Y. All the comparisons are dancing angels on a pinhead. So similar for everything. But not yet available.
Hi Sam i hope Xpeng is paying you well for this endorsement, you say you have compared both cars like for like but some of your Tesla comparisons are wrong pls get the facts right. I am a EV ower of a Hyundai Kona and have no reason to promote Tesla but get the facts right.
I noticed the other day a car was for sale at almost the same price in UK pounds as Australian dollars. GST tends to be 20% and there is no free trade agreement but still a huge discount in Australia with more competition in a small market.
Sam, Sam, Sam, so you drank the Kool-Aid 😅 What is the NITSA safety rating of the G6? I’m not sure about you, but my family’s safety is NUMBER ONE! Not acceleration or color. When will the G6 have FSD as capable as Tesla’s 😅 Best to you and your wife, I hope things are going good for her!
I hope to remember in about 5 years to look for one of these episodes and reply to all these close minded people saying these cars wont be good. Sadly, most people wont write or admit they were wrong.
Saying this beats a Model Y soundly is quite a bit of overstatement. Sure they could be good and time will tell but wait for this car to be out for a year or so before declaring it allot better than a Model Y. All you got now is some early testing and mostly nice glossy documentation or information from the company. Like I said earlier, there have been many Tesla killers but not one has killed any Tesla, yet.

I think you may be right about the quality of the Xpeng G6's quality. Everyone likes faster charging and the 800v architecture is the bomb. Tesla needs to convert all it's cars to 800v architecture. The sooner the better. When Tesla Bot becomes a better worker than humans, that will be the superbomb. I can't believe I've lived long enough to see this change. Exciting times!

Great
Competition makes Tesla cheaper and better

This does not sound like what is going on. And 800V isn't going to fix that. All the 800V buys is the ability to make wire thickness less and thus saving money and weight.
Does it have heated and cooled seats front and rear and does it have a digital rearview mirror?
Heated and ventilated front seats only. No digital rear view mirror, thank God.
We use the frunk every time we go shopping to store our shopping bags, & travelling
Very useful!
too small to be useful, u gotta think twice what can fit.
Looks fantastic !, p.s. Tesla does have heated steering wheels here in the UK, well ours does anyway !
Probably on the long range version
@@alphaomega1969 Yes its a MYLR
Price in NL is going to be €55178 (including tax and tariffs)
Model-Y is €55490 (long range, different colour)
I like this car too.
Good points are made. Glad that other competitors are making a compelling EV. FSD and the realistic promise of unsupervised FSD means I would not consider a non-Tesla
FSD is a Chinese open source AI software code sold to Elon Musk, Elon Musk was furious when found out he had to pay for it,the Chinese engineer told Elon Auto Pilot and FSD are two different thing lol
After the Chinese engineer instal the programme and left, Elon accused the Chinese engineer of stealing his own FSD lol
The g6 has radars, lidars and self driving that can cope with a busy Chinese city. Tesla's can't do this. Keep waiting for the Tesla fsd rainbow 🌈 more likely they'll just take the indicator stalk away with cheaper brakes.
used model 3 to insure a month 275.00 us in california.
You are moving too close to being just another click bait RUclipsr rather than a Viking. You are not the sounding voice of the truth.
Where do you charge it?
What does a structural battery pack mean for repairability or even recyclability?
If it’s like Tesla’s, the battery is bolted in and fairly easily removed. Battery recycling is a big topic but there are several companies planning to do it. It’s early days and most car batteries are still in use.
FWIW, the MY does indeed have a heated steering wheel.
Yes, I confirm my 'old' model Y does already! I agree that he is comparing previous v future models and there will be a future Y. All the comparisons are dancing angels on a pinhead. So similar for everything. But not yet available.
I just saw one of these at the airport in Copenhagen, its gorgeous. Wish we had it here in the USA.
Fsd is irrelevant for most people. It’s basically an enhanced autopilot. I wouldn’t pay anything extra for it personally.
@@singed8853 yeah util they are 100%%%% safe, will never use it.
Appreciate you covering the Chinese evs Sam. Glad to see innovation happening and hoping they come to the UK too.
I drive a Xpeng P5. A great value for the car. WLPT range of 456km
WLPT range is less than Model Y EPA range. And that is WLPT which is way over board.
Do you like the looks of your car? Is quite unconventional exterior design, Xpeng cancelled the initial/first EU release due to low interest in the P5
Does it do OTA updates? (Sorry, can’t search the transcript on an iPad)
yes, often
I hope to remember in about 5 years to look for one of these episodes and reply to all these close minded people saying these cars wont be good. Sadly, most people wont write or admit they were wrong.
Saying this beats a Model Y soundly is quite a bit of overstatement. Sure they could be good and time will tell but wait for this car to be out for a year or so before declaring it allot better than a Model Y. All you got now is some early testing and mostly nice glossy documentation or information from the company. Like I said earlier, there have been many Tesla killers but not one has killed any Tesla, yet.
@@sambira Tesla killer is Tesla, the same argument can be said of the updated y you can't say that's good as soon as it comes out
@@robbieb8274in many ways, BYD has already proven that they are superior. If it wasn't for the US political/financial/media control people around the world would've already embraced Chinese cars and infrastructure. But time will prove solid engineering and hard work beats manipulation.
I guess we'll see if Xpeng is making a profit in 5 years and is still around.
close minded? Car design, car software, phone app.... everything is copied, nothing original, who cares if they are great or bad. The principle is enough to look the other way. With a population of 1.4 billion people one would think that there would be a fresh new idea.
No thanks. I'll stick with Tesla RnD and reputation.
❤❤❤❤❤
I don't trust Americans especially Boeing... lol
How does the G6 do in crash tests?
And yet in China, Tesla Model Y is still number one and sales are increasing.
Tesla, spaceX, Solar City, Neuralink, The Boring Company, Optmus are all Chinese startup investment to boost US economy due to trade deficit.
Tesla is full of BYD parts also china is the only country to use 95% full automation in production facility for maximum profit which Tesla is using.
Drove a G6 at the Melbourne EV show, drove just like a VW whose European ride quality is what I like. The lighter colour G6 upholstery is like a light grey not the model 3 white. Not a model 3 or model y fan at all. The G6 is in a totally different class to the ATTO 3. The finish, self parking, OPD was to my taste.
Why do you cherry pick the models you are comparing to make the G6 seem better?
