Great to see the continuation of this playthrough.
Ground battles on screen is my preference.
Eck I would love a full thing but if needed just include the major ground battles. Glad you are working on some more EAW
Normal infantry is one of the best ground units in the mod tbh, good rule for standard tactics is half of units is just infantry and things to support them for the other half.
But saying that i do like me some air unit or arty spam shenanigans.

I am not a big fan of ground battles, they take up a lot of the video and I would really like to see more space battles. Dose not mean no ground battles just only major ones that are shortened down please!! Other than that love these videos keep up the good work!

I still think it would be a good idea for Eck to stream these if people want the full version since not everyone will have access to the patreon. We could have these videos be like a recap with extra editing for funny moments.
i personally would prefer to have everything on screen in some format but its all up to you.
The ground battles are hard to win both quickly and efficiently. Defending on ground is always easier, so I play ground battles as if I’m always on defense. A heavy tracker is good because it has the sensor beacon ability and I will keep it plus some troops and vehicles on the landing zone and build any structures around it. The AI is pretty aggressive on the ground so I let it send it’s troops in piecemeal and all my forces in one area makes quick work of them. While this is happening I am using the heavy tracker to reveal the structures and bombs them.

I recently got a new pc and I tried downloading Empire at war but it wouldnt Start. Do you know why this Could be? Really want to play again
i literally solo'd the EA with luke, han and chewie got nuked by delvardis, as far as ground battles go i can take or leave it
Great to see more EaW! If you’re honestly asking for feedback, I like the space battles more than the land ones, so maybe just ensure you have a nice balance of both? And maybe fewer goofy TikTok style cuts/SFX? I don’t recall those being part of the style of your previous vids, and I prefer it that way because I am old and grumpy.
Hey Eck, how did you get the game to run so smoothly? I’ve tried changing the affinity, priority, hardware mouse, compatibility mode, widescreen, resolution, power and performance settings on my pc… none of it works. I’m getting a maximum of 16 fps with tons of stuttering. I have an Intel i7 cpu that’s about four or five years old. Would you be open to posting a guide somewhere, either in a reply here or a separate video, of how you were able to get the game to run in a playable state? I’d really appreciate it.
It's largely a CPU thing. I have a 5950x, which could be helping. It has ran very nicely since the last patch but I'm not sure the exact reasons.

According to the in-game notes, it's still coming. This is as of about 30 minutes ago when I started my new campaign as a result of Eck's videos. hahaha

im the sweatie3st of ground players ECK PLEASE
just one advise send everything but not together spead operations are better but require more brain so just sending everything in but not in a deathball, deathballs area a bad habit of units clustering and having bad mobility and angles to shoot
when i say send everything is most players leave stuff in orbit and sprinkled around the map instead of comiting to a fight meaning the fighting units usually get killed, then they send the rest but once again they have less numbers this ends in the MY UNITS SUCK THIS IS TOO DIFICULT mentality comit all the boys more advanced ground stuff is more fun but this is the best for players returning
Good with ground battles on, on and edited, or just FFWD'd. I like them but don't NEED them. :)
