I actually bought this bag few months ago. I'm able to fit inside eu 49. So overall can't complain and it's not like I'm fighting putting them inside. Hope it helps

why on earth wouldn't you put two backstraps on it so you could use it on a bike more comfortably

I think it is more for traveling as a carry-on baggage, not for bike packing or riding with it. but you got a good point, it doesn't hurt to have 2 straps, it is more comfortable in general.

It is designed for the strap to be crossover when you slide the cushion at the end. So if you're walking with your bike on your left/right side up a hill the bag is more stable.
