  • The Sustainable Development Goals are relevant to us all and it is important for us to be aware of the positive contribution we can make to sustaining our local and global communities for the future, whether it be at work, at home, in our communities or schools. We recognise that the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are the drivers of sustainable transitions.
Meath County Council is an advocate of the Sustainable Development Goals and is ideally placed to promote the SDGs at a local level. We are committed to delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals and supporting communities in building a more sustainable future. Advocating for the SDGs is led by the Climate Action Team but involves everyone.
Our work to advance the SDGs can be seen through our awareness and training programmes for local community groups, our recently adopted Climate Action Plan 2024-2029 that sets the basis to tackle climate change in Meath and the creation of our Decarbonizing Zones, our retrofitting of civic buildings, and our provision of grant supports such as the Climate Action Fund & Green For Business.
With your help, it’s our aim to incorporate the SDGs into all we do so we can build a sustainable county together. Get involved and check out the SDG Map to see what activities near you are helping to create a sustainable Meath. Find out more at: www.meath.ie/c...
