- Finally got around to doing a full walk around of my 2020 Jeep Wrangler JLU. In this video I talk about how I transformed this Jeep from a Sport Altitude Edition to a trail conquering machine that happens to be my daily driver.
This Jeep was built in my home garage with help from a few friends and my lovely wife.

No inner fenders and no Muffler. You know you need to get those interfenders. Keep that crap out of your engine bay. Suggestion for a muffler. Sounds really good. It's a MagnaFlow 4 inch round three chambered Muffler. You need a 2.1/5" Inlet, Outlet. Installs on the driver side almost under the driver's seat a little bit behind that. You won't sound like a Kubota tractor no more. Inner fenders are a must. Protect your engine bay. First thing I did was a snorkel. Because the first time I hit water with my Jeep water came in the cold air intake and it died... Nice looking jeep. Those three things I mentioned are very cheap it looks like should be within your budget. Trust me the Mufflers going to sound amazing you'll love it. Me Jacked07jk✌❤🙂
Bud…you weren’t kidding, you did take this to 11! It would be cool to hear the story about your Son’s story or how you guys named the rig.
Thank you! I need to do another walk around to update all the changes I've made since this video.
Long story short, When my son was learning to count he would always emphatically end on 11's!! I told my wife I should get that tattooed to remember all the funny stuff kids say growing up. I then came up with the 11's logo and around that time started building this Jeep and wanted a unique name and a way to have my son feel like he's a part of the build.
That rig is CLEANNNNN!!
Definitely a pretty badass build. Not too over the top but for sure super high quality parts. No expense spared! I’m surprised it flexes as well as it does with mid arms. I assumed you had long arms. That’s pretty legit! I’ve been wanting to do coilovers but was worried about mid arms. I’ll likely do long arms and never do coilovers, but one can dream!
Thank you! That EVO bolt on coilover kit is amazing in the flex department. This thing is going to party once we put long arms on it!!
Such an awesome rig! Nice walk around.
Great walk around. Love seeing everything you've done with your rig
thanks!!
Very nice!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Jeep looks good man, I might have to get those magnet mounts for my radio!
Thanks! I've been really happy with mine, the magnets are strong and hold really well.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE that’s good to hear the mount I have is hard to line the mic up on when bouncing down the trail so I’ve just been throwing it in the cup holder.
Killer build. Great showcase of what you can do on your own, without having to turn your rig into a shop. Looking forward to the next upload!
Thank you!
Love it - nicely done! 11s is money.!
Thank you thank you!!
Awesome ride, thanks for sharing it with us, can’t wait to see it even evolve! 👍
Thanks for tuning in!
Me and my wife daily driven our rock crawlers for years until they were paid off. Then I bought a truck and trailer to start hauling them.
Awesome! That's the plan for us as well
🔥🔥🔥 Thoroughly enjoyed the upload! Everything has been tastefully done, all functional with looks. After all we all like our rigs to look good. Thanks for sharing! I’m gonna have to copy the lights on your tag delete 😉. 💯🇺🇸
Thanks, very much appreciated!
Super dope rig!!! Love this beast! So awesome how it’s garage built too!
Thank you!
I love this build
Thank you
Nice build 🤙🏻
Appreciate it
We are at the exact same sub count today, the Jeep is wicked. If you are ever in the Nashville area or central TN we need to get together for a ride! Awesome unit!
Right on! Thank you.
I love Nashville, I'll actually be out there later this year. No Jeep but I'm planning a visit with my wife.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE It’s a great place to have some fun, keep up that awesome content man. Godspeed brother!
Great built ....Dude 👍
thank you !
Great video 🙌🏼 and your Rig came bad ass!!
Thank you!
Great video and very well thought out build! I’m using your build for inspiration.
Thank you! Awesome !
Love your build, well thought out. What steering clamp are you using, slick clamp.
Thank you! Steering clamp is from The 4x4 Garage. Mine is their double shear 0 offset but you can get them in multiple offsets to suit your needs.
Good Job Josh. Well done man. I was just telling my buddy that you basically have my ideal set up. Im just a little slower at accomplishing the build completion I guess. Ill get to that next level as soon as I can. Besides, Jeep #2 is coming soon.
Thanks Mike! Slow and steady is a solid way to go. I built my prior two Wranglers that way. This one went zero to a hundred real quick aha.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE that’s how our @gmork_jt diesel Gladiator build is going. Zero to 100! But it’s been taking all of our time and attention. We’ve barely had time to do anything else. Lol.
Why did you choose Evo over Rock Krawler , Metalcloak, or anything else ? I’m still debating
EVO and Rock Krawler are my go to recommendations for off the shelf bolt on lift kits. I ran a Rock Krawler Kit on one of my JK's and loved it. They actually make my favorite coil.
I wanted to run the EVO bolt on coilover kit on my JL, which is why I went EVO on this one.
If you looking for a standard shock and coil lift , both EVO and RK are great options.
Very nice build. Quick question, what mount are you using for the RR GMRS handheld?
That mount is made by Jeep Unique. They have a ton of different options on there site.
Why did you go with evo spec kings rather than tuned accutune custom fox or king?
Great question. I wanted to do all of the work transitioning from standard shock and coil to coilovers. I think the EVO Bolt on Coilover kit is a killer kit and something I could tackle in my garage. The kit comes with the EVO Spec Kings. Had I done weld in towers at that time and brackets I would have had Accutune build me a set specifically for my Jeep.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE
That makes sense I would probably have gone the same route, one of the nicest jl's I have ever seen BTW
awesome build! I may have missed it but how wide are the axles?
Axles are 69” wide I believe
Awesome video, what tail lights are those? I might have missed that part.
Thanks! I did mention the tail lights but it was real quick.
Here's a link to their amazon shop with the lights I have:

Hi,we have a series of Truck and Jeep aftermarket accessories, would you like to review them
Love the rig, question what mount are you using to have both handhelds
Thanks!
Mount is made by Jeep Unique. They have a bunch of options on their website.
Nice jeep! Been following the build from the beginning. did you cover the under side? or did i blink? skid plates?
Thanks, appreciate that. I did cover them and it was real quick. The only aftermarket skid I'm currently running is the EVO Protek Engine Trans Skid. discipleoffroad.com/EVO-MFG-JLU-36L-PROTEK-ENGINE-TRANS-SKID-BLACK_p_573.html
I think its great protection for the cost ass it covers the oil pan, trans cooler lines, exhaust crossover and transmission. I may upgrade to a full skid setup at some point but want to have my long arm set up figured out first.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE oh right on. yeah for sure have to get your long arms sorted out as a lot of skids wont work with other brand long arms, or other way around. if not you own a grinder/cut off wheel for a reason LOL
This is fantastic man. What type of tools do you use? Air compressed drills? Battery/DeWalt Drills? I am starting out and have a JL and want to build up the right types of tools. I have a little starter drill by dewalt but now looking at impact wrenches with all kinds of sockets...really just wondering if I should start with battery powered or air compression (I have an air compressor)
I use Milwaukee battery powered tools. I think they have the best selection of automotive battery powered stuff. For hand tools I use a like Tekton. They have a ton of great stuff at pretty decent prices.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Thanks man!
Nice rig setup! What kind of fenders do you have?
Thanks, fenders are Nemesis Industries Crawler - Narrow Width
I'm curious with the tires you are running and the gear ratio you have chosen, if the jeep feels sluggish or feels normal. Thanks.
Jeep feels amazing. Its the perfect gear ratio for this tire size in my opinion. 5.38's and 40's are right in the sweet spot. Jeep goes into 8th no problem on the highway.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE i have 37's, doing 5.13 on my JK but it is a 5 speed not 8, i think having the 8 speed is really making me want to sell my JK and get a JL but I don't want the payment lol
@@keithelder The 8 speed is AMAZING! But I definitely hear you on not wanting a payment haha.
What height is the lift?
It’s probably sitting at about 4 to 4 1/2 inches of lift height in that configuration. Those are coil covers on there so that’s not really any specific lift number but it sat pretty close to when I had 4 1/2 inch springs on it.
How did you guys black out the warn logo on the VR as well as the fairlead? Is there somewhere I can order a blacked out warn logo?
We made a custom decal with our vinyl machine.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Are you guys a shop? Can I buy one lol
@@jYarmo The Mojave/392 light bar bracket will be available for purchase late July early August.
All other models are available to purchase now.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE no I meant the black warn decal. Can I buy one of those from you? Or can you send me the file of what you used so I can get a vinyl shop to print one for me? I’d pay for the file.
@@jYarmo ah gotcha. We just pulled the logo off the internet. I’m sure any of the jeep decal/sticker companies could make one pretty easy. Pixel decals has done some stuff for me in the past. Maybe reach out to them and see if they can get one done
For all the money you dumped in that jeep you could've had a rock bouncer or an h1.
Yeah but I don't want a Rock Bouncer or H1or any other vehicle in that price range for that matter. I wanted a super built JL DAILY driver that I could drive to and from trails with and not have to put on a trailer. I have another Jeep LJ that I'll be transforming into a trail dedicated rock crawler.
3:41 stinks a bit
Everytime I see one if these build videos what I really want to know is what the owners do for a living to afford these rigs.
Hard work pays off. Took me till I was in my 40's to get on this level.
