      The duramax has been great, we really love the fuel range it gets. On our last big trip to Big Bend it was still at about half a tank each time we had to refuel the Renegades. That’s impressive considering it was the lead vehicle breaking the wind for the others, while towing a trailer.

Best place for mounting a small pouch for pens and other small parts like fuses. also keep the paperwork like registration and Insurance info so it is quick and easy to get to. doesnt hurt that it also is a great place to clip a pistol holster.

    Great video, awesome rig. Definitely some big $$$ spent. The Decked bed electrical system is an awesome idea gonna have to look into that. Curious if you guys have been happy with the add a leaf? My V6 ZR2 has roughly 500lb of static weight added from a ARE topper decked bed and dual Prinsu racks. I do a lot of backcountry hunting and as a result have a lot of gear too. This previous CO elk hunt has me looking into a leaf spring swap to help with payload squat. Have you guys had any performance impacts with all the gear weighing you down? I'm looking at adding Active Timbrens and a Deaver Spring kit, I know you mentioned limited budget, but was this in consideration for a future upgrade for you all? And what other payload/suspension mods have you considered? Thanks, and again awesome video production quality!

    • @RenegadeExpedition
      @RenegadeExpedition  2 года назад

      Thank you. The add a leafs have been great, even with the new setup. This truck has gone through a lot of changes since this video was released. The deckd system and bed rack with all of the accessories have been replaced with a Alu-cab canopy camper. The suspension has been upgraded to kings and we are now running a 35” tire. We will be releasing a new video soon with all of the changes.

    I'd love to get my hands on one these Zr2 Bison packages, but the 2wd worktrucks and Silverados are king here in Texas. There are literally only 3 BISON packaged Colorados in inventory in the entire state so outside of ordering one off the website..you can't even go anywhere to see one or test drive. I may just go for a Tacoma aas they have manty 4x4 options readily available in almost every dealership.

    I have a Leitner rack on my ZR2 and I love it for the most part. The only thing I would say is their accessories can be pretty expensive. The rack ran me about $1200 but I have put another $600 of accessories on it and I do not own either of their lock boxes.

    • @RenegadeExpedition

    Great video. This was very helpful to see what accessories were helpful on trails and trips off-road. I have a bison as well. When using the stock wheels with a 33” tire, did you need spacers for the stock wheels to account for the offset? If so, which one did you use? Thanks

    • @RenegadeExpedition
