One of my warlocks in a DnD campaign stole the book he keeps within his chest, its a spell book with literally every spell in existence in it.
And The Entity fucking limits it to four 😭

@@vortex3611 Vecna is literally confirmed to be a god, an extremely powerful one at that, he can traverse planes, cast pretty much any spell. He’s also confirmed to be immune to disease, disintegration, mind-controlling powers, and a variety of other debilitating effects. He literally destroyed other gods just to garner more power. But to be fair, The Entity is extraordinarily powerful. Vecna (in dbd lore) is confirmed to be strong enough to fight back against The Entity, only really giving in because he was intrigued, that’s probably why he’s known as the God of Secrets.
@@randombozo9944 I know I was just saying that the mark of the entity limiting his power disappears in his prestige 5 skin. It doesn’t do anything in game but it does mean that he is at full strength. One of his voice lines states that he could just slaughter all of the survivors whenever he wanted but he’s playing by the rules to learn more about the entity and harness its power

Fun thing: In D&D Canon, Vecna became a god. They're obviously depowering him from that state. Still, it's funny to think that an eldritch god was able to rope in one of the most powerful wizards to ever exist into his little game and it's only a matter of time before Vecna dethrones his ass.
If Vecna wanted to dethrone it, he already would have. Vecna is on a whole other level of power. He's doing this for fun.

So I got a glimpse at the lore and he is gentrifying the entity. He let the entity take him so he can overthrow it pretending to play along.

The entity is starting to make enemies even with the killers... Michael doesn't give a shot, as long as he kills, defeating the purpose somewhat. Trapper is just doing the job but cares not for the entity truthfully. And Vecna just wants to study it. Oh, and Pinhead who is there by choice, taking victims kf his own to his own hell.
Very interesting...hope the game ends with survivors and killers teaming up to destroy the entity. It's starting to seem less powerful the more it pulls in.....

Dude, because Trapper and Billy were literally the first and third killer of the game in a time when they thought that DbD was going to last just 1 year or 2. Vecna is their killer number 32 if I'm not wrong, they have to do some gameplay gimnastics for him.
And that's just one of the many problems that they have. The powers of the killers are almost always based in the same mechanics: place things, stealth, one shot, teleport, increase movement speed and ranged attack. Well, recently they added bots, too.

Actually impossible going by the newest stat block. When he is killed, he revives after 1d100 years. 1d100 being a one hundred sided dice.
I'm not too sure but I've heard his philactry or however you spell it is the entire planet Earth which we know is way beyond the dimensions of DnD (the philactry thing is what keeps a Lich immortal, a lich dies when their chosen item to use as a philactry is destroyed)
@@spikezaharr3639 unsure lore wise but the stat block implies that he revives no matter what. Like the basic lich stat block specifies that the phalactry still needs to exist but vecnas doesn’t.
@axlaxolotl4851 ye and that's just his arch lich state as a god he can only be killed by other stronger gods or one's welding powerful artifacts.

Hate to be that guy (that's a lie), but you got some details wrong. Vecna's mom was executed before all he mastered all schools of magic. He was then held as a slave until he slaughtered his masters.

No, let me explain. D&D’s Vecna is an immortal Lich and wizard, while ST’s is an otherworldly entity. They were both people once, though.

a Lich is a wizard who was transformed themselves into a undead monster for immortality and power.
Vecna is the most powerful and first Lich there has ever been eventually rising to literal godhood.
in the lore of this game he allowed the entity to take him so that he could wait it out and takes its power eventually. apparently there is a rune on the back of his neck limiting his power because if his power wasn't limited he would be more powerful than the entity.
Can't speak on how much like adventure time He/dnd liches are cause I haven't seen it.
and fun fact the Demogorgon and mind flayer are also named after dnd thing which are both unlike there name sakes There is only one Demogorgon in dnd He is a named character and Is the self styled prince of demons with two baboon heads tentacle arms and a whole bunch of stuff. and the Mind flayers are a species of octopus headed purple people who eat brains have psychic powers and reproduce by having a worn eat a persons brain and replace it transforming that person into a new mind flayer

@obsidiandragon1385 ok so from what I'm understanding is that the names from stranger things are used for monster in a table top game that was apparently made after the movie dungeons and dragons just came out unless by some odd luck both movie and game are named the same yet aren't related.

@@xXSalvi503XxIt’s called: learn how to counter him. His power isn’t just spells, he spawns treasure chests that SUPREMELY buff Survivors or let them see his aura when he casts a Spell. You can also get insanely OP abilities like full invisibility and Haste or locker teleports with the rare Eye or Hand of Vecna, at the cost of being Moriable. If you know what you’re doing, Vecna is one of the most balanced killers up there with Demo and Wesker.

@@theplaguedscripter7805 you do realize that other killers have the same amount if not more abilities that they can use like oni, pyramid head, etc, every killer has a trump card against survivors, nemesis has zombies, chucky has his size, and vecna being a powerful lich wizard has full arsenal of spells, just get good ☠️
killers were tormented by survivors for too long so its fun to finally be able to enjoy the game

Vecna didn't punch his way out of the Domains of Dread after using the Dark Power's own corruption to gain godhood then almost getting to learn why you don't invade the City of Doors while the Lady of Pain is on call just to be associated with "Twin Peaks 2: the peakening".
