Well done I served at Troop E Miami and Monroe County Marathon Station as a communications duty officer You brought back a lot of great memories from that time in my life. The Florida Highway Patrol was a great place to work, and I would highly encourage anyone interested in a career in law enforcement or communications to apply. Having live in Florida all my life, it would be interesting to see all the roles FHP plays. I think the vast majority of Floridians just think that troopers conduct traffic enforcement and crash investigations, but as I've worked more with FHP, I've learned they have many different roles. It'd be great to see some of the other teams/units that they have. Make it happen Nick!!
Hey Nick just wanted to let you know Your hard work to get agencies to share their vehicles it very much noticed and appreciated .... your a badass Nick .... can’t wait to see future car vlogs !!!
Came out as part of a team to help restore power to Florida after Hurricane Irma and then after a week of work we got relocated from West Palm Beach (East side) area to Punta Gorda (West side). Florida Highway Patrol escorted all 55 of our line trucks across the state and it was awesome. They did a fantastic job of blocking intersections to get the entire group of vehicles over as quickly as possible. We stopped ONLY once.... for a 1/2 hour because of a vehicle break down. Thank YOU FHP!!
Wow FHP went to the federal signal smart siren I've known for years that they've always been a mastercom b type, good video Nick thanks for the information!!!
When I was little a guy in my neighborhood used to drive the Camaro. I freaking loved that thing. That guy was the coolest dude in the neighborhood just because of that one car.

I've never seen an agency so motivated by side lighting on the patrol car. So a big thumb's up to the FHP for taking this matter seriously. We're all trained in the academy on how to block of a road with a patrol car, yet most agencies only mount effective front and sometimes rear lighting. Also many crashes involving emergency vehicles happen at intersections, where the addition of side lighting can really help. A few years back I had taken the night off. My partner was working, and while attempting to make a traffic stop the patrol car was struck by an impaired driver. The seat I usually worked from was ripped from it's mounts, and the computer mount was bend into the seat back. Had I been working I would have been killed in the crash. The car was totaled, and my partner had to spend a few hours in the ER. The car was had a full overhead light bar, grill light, mirror lights, deck lights, wig wags and taillight flashers. The crash investigators downloaded the computer and found that all the lights had been working properly (backed up by video evidence from a gas station) and the siren was activated. That crash cost my department around $40,000 in replacement equipment, and medical coverage. Not to mention the investigation time of another agency who had to investigate the crash. Thankfully I wasn't in the vehicle at the time. It is worth every penny to buy the best lighting system you can get. And really car companies, let's get more models that can interface the computer from the trunk to the infotainment system. Those computer mounts are deadly. If I'd been in the car with my partner that night, it would have been the computer mount that killed me. Dodge offers this as an OPTION, on the charger, but not the Durango, and not the SSV Ram 1500. This should be part of the basic pursuit package in every police/ fire/ ems car.
I think for civilian vehicles having marker, brake,or turn signal lights easily visible from the side helped reduce incidents vs. older cars that only had to be visible from the front or rear.

Great video Brother!💙 This is my first time watching this particular series👍. I challenge you to do the same with one of the oldest police agencies in the Country, esteemed in tradition, VERY unique cruisers, & the BEST agency in the land (I’m a lil biased 🤣).... the Michigan State Police! 👮 🚔 🚨 The MSP also does yearly testing for all police vehicles from automobile manufacturers; they set the standard with their review / recommendations. Lmk if you’d like to do it!.. I have some good contacts. Thanks for the great content!👍👍
I used to go to school at Embry Riddle in daytona beach, and I don't think I've ever seen a sharper highway patrol vehicle than FHP!! Even SCHP doesn't have them beat imo
We have that exact lightbar on some ambulances and the cars for the emergency doctors and I have to admit, that it really is that smoothe to drive with it. We also got the siren on the "bottom front" under the engine, which reduces the noise inside of the car very well. 👍
I have a question maybe you could answer: Why do some departments use red and blue lights and some departments use only blue lights is there a difference? I've noticed near me in Florida it seems like local units have red and blue but County and State have blue only. Is this a coincidence?
Its the dept preference. usually county and state like blue main lights with yellow traffic lights, and smaller depts like cities usually use red and blue main lights with no or few traffic lights. But again its the dept choice.
Try coming into Alachua down 441 the cops here don't mess around. Some days there's a ton of them and others there's only a few. Alachua Police Department or even Gainesville Police Department don't mess around.

I saw a Challenger amongst the small group of Chargers while driving down I 95 recently. It was painted the same color as the other cars, but had what seemed like a light on every conceivable surface. The rocker panels had LEDs along its length, the tops of the wheel wells, back window, back bumper, front bumper, and looked like a Scat Pack which had been made into a Georgia county cop car. It wasn’t state patrol. But it had the scat pack hood and wheels painted black. It looked tough but was also corny with all the lights.

That’d be awesome! Can you shoot me a quick email to keep me for more details? Nick@Nodvisuals.com
I used to go to school at Embry Riddle in daytona beach, and I don't think I've ever seen a sharper highway patrol vehicle than FHP!! Even SCHP doesn't have them beat imo
Plan on finishing my service with FHP. Great video. I got 23 years and want to finish working with FHP. Nice cars 🇺🇸
Excellent, service NOD SQUAD REPRESENT!!!
Could you do Georgia state patrol 👍🏻great job by the way
Hell Yeah
Georgia state patrol be lurking gotta watch out for them they don’t play
Joshua Elisa no they don’t,on their highways they are well hidden and many undercover
I’ve never wanted to be pulled over so much in my life
We have that exact lightbar on some ambulances and the cars for the emergency doctors and I have to admit, that it really is that smoothe to drive with it. We also got the siren on the "bottom front" under the engine, which reduces the noise inside of the car very well. 👍
Hello from Poland. This amount of tech in and on the car just blows my mind.
I'm glad RUclips put this on "creator on the rise" because I love this channel! Great video!
I have a question maybe you could answer:
Why do some departments use red and blue lights and some departments use only blue lights is there a difference? I've noticed near me in Florida it seems like local units have red and blue but County and State have blue only. Is this a coincidence?
Its the dept preference. usually county and state like blue main lights with yellow traffic lights, and smaller depts like cities usually use red and blue main lights with no or few traffic lights. But again its the dept choice.
mattsmith1318 department perforation, or just the state’s laws. It just depends on the agency’s choice or the state’s laws like I said.
I live in Florida and my city uses all blue, county uses all blue, and state uses all blue
Burninroses I believe by Florida law, all law enforcement vehicles must use all blue emergency lights.
Here is your answer blue lights is strictly for law enforcement red lights are for emergency responders like fire, ambulance, police understand.
the florida staties cars are super intimidating when they roll down 95
Try coming into Alachua down 441 the cops here don't mess around. Some days there's a ton of them and others there's only a few. Alachua Police Department or even Gainesville Police Department don't mess around.
JustLetMeDrive and for Florida being so green, they blend in surprisingly well!!!
JustLetMeDrive my mom was doing 90 down the turnpike and one was behind her, she didn’t even realize it either... the FHP charger sped past here at 110 and didn’t even bother to stop her. It’s like they wanted to race of something, but they weren’t on a call though
Ive seen a ALOOOOOT of troopers on I-95 and the Turnpike.
Right!! I saw four of them waiting to slay people between west palm and Jupiter. Scary asses
Love that FHP went back to their roots with the all blue setup, also really love that lightbar. First time seeing the triangle one on FHP.
This is very nice. It shows the average person what is going on in law inforcement.
Would love to see you do Texas Highway Patrol, they have a Challenger 392!
no we dont lol
@@christiancolunga312 nah yeah we do I work a drive through cop pulled up and I was like is that a 392 and he was like yeah and I was like I'm not racing tonight

New show subscriber .
Thanks for a good time .
Need to do a spin-off and go interview the runners lol
I don't care what anyone says, trooper's hats are awesome.
When my wife and I were returning home to Florida after hurricane Irma, we stayed at a motel. There were more than 30 officers from FHP staying there as well.Super nice people we met.If I wasn't so old I should have been a trooper. I see too many people that don't move over for them
If Only They Got Paid as Good as there Uniforms and Vehicles
Oof the grammar hurts my soul...
@@Osprey1994 they're... lmao jk

sick video bro. it's nice to see a police force be inviting like this
I saw a Challenger amongst the small group of Chargers while driving down I 95 recently.
My condolence for the family of Tooper Bullocks! 🙏 and All the FHP family
Try New Hampshire State Troopers Cars. BADASS!!!
You should do Hillsborough county in Florida
Love those Dodge Chargers they look mean
Very informative video. Awesome!
Nicely done. Great performance from LT. Camacho also
