While growing up, she suffered several trauma,.. (bullying, changing schools and again bullying.. a near death experience (by almost drowning), and dealing with sexual predators in the industry etc.
Luckily she found Tim Burton in the industry.
Like Johnny Depp once said, in his perfect world, he'd only work with Winona and Tim Burton.
Imagine what might have happened, if the media would have left this couple some privacy? (instead of inventing rumors, including cheating scandals etc.)
Both fell into a dark whole after they split up... And it's telling that Winona was one of the first who rushed into the public, defending Johnny.

Winona is awesome! She has a very unique presence on film (in my opinion) and is a great actress. She is one of those actors/actresses that is very difficult to dislike. I feel bad that she went through serious bouts of depression and exhaustion when her career was blowing up. But I was happy to see that she defended Johnny against the allegations of abuse.

I love how obsessed everyone was with Winona in the 1990s and early 2000s.
I feel bad that she had to always be followed with security because of the growing nut jobs who were obsessed with her. No wonder celebs eventually have a melt down. And the media claimed she was kleptomatic but never went into detail of what she was really going through.
Celebs are people at the end of the day. The constant hounding, harassment and stalking has got to take a mental toll on you.

The fact that her doctor had her on Demerol should have been in the headlines. ANyone who has ever crossed paths with the "queen of all opiates" will understand what I mean. It not only takes over your life, and becomes the one and only thing you care about, but it makes you numb to any consequences of your actions. Demerol is basically 20th century Fentanyl. Unless youre suffering from excruciating pain that is nearly unbearable, theres no excuse to prescribe Demerol. It wil ruin your life.

It’s sad that Winona is either still in denial about being groomed or is too scared to ever say anything about it now because of how long their careers were intertwined. He got that tattoo covered/changed for a reason and she never talks about him and when she does it’s brief. And now that she’s seen what happens to women who stand up to him and how he was able to convince the entire world to hate her and that he did nothing wrong despite the fact that he was equally as abusive as Amber and was even found guilty of raping and assaulting her etc Winona knows she can never speak out. The reason that case didn’t cause more women to speak out is because they all know how fucking manipulative and charming he is and that because Amber was also abusive it was bad timing that she was the first victim to come out and he would be able to turn it all on her and come out looking great in the public eye despite his equally horrific crimes and abusive and no one else could ever be believed if they said anything about him. :( truly sad. If only people could understand that some situations both people are the bad guy or maybe if someone else had taken him on first we wouldn’t be left with millions of people adoring him and hating Amber despite him being just as disgusting and violent as her in every single way. No one cares about what he did because men are forgiven for murder and rape all the time but women often have their careers end or at least put on hold for decades over petty things in comparison like shop lifting or coming out as a lesbian or being too fat/thin compared to the fashion at the time 🙄

She's not dark. It's just some of the roles she chooses have very dark undertons. It all started from her one of her first and one of her darkest roles in "Heathers". And then after being aquatinted w Tim Burton, who usually has some very dark undertones in his films, she was no doubt considered an actress who you'd usually see in a dark subject matter styled movie. "Girl Interrupted" is another movie with some severely dark undertones. Actually the whole movie itself is a dark study of characters in a mental institution. A sort of female version of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", but with a bit of a different story to it all.

Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola is my favorite movie ever and I have a quote from the movie tattooed on my back. A huge Winona Ryder fan. All the movies listed that the critics hated at the time or now call Classics like Heather's, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissor Hands, Mermaid with Cher and the list goes on and on. Yes, Winona Forever. Love song for a vampire plays at the end of the credits on Bram Stoker's Dracula it is absolutely beautiful. Love Never Dies... I think it’s really sad how some people glamorise her inappropriate relationship with Depp, a 26 year old man, at 17. She would have been vulnerable and had no business with a fully grown man. As far as hollyweird stars go. She seems pretty benign. I really enjoyed that presentation.

Wow! This has to be the most detailed video biography of any celebrity that I've ever seen. Every name mentioned has an accompanying photo (except that of her half sister) and every work associated with her even if by name only; movies, music video, songs- all have an accompanying short clip, no matter how obscure they are.

Thank you so much Himec! I pride myself on the thoroughness and detail. =D Sometimes, in the case of the half-sister, there really is nothing out there and they've really made the effort to stay private.. and I can respect that!

@@tezzmosis I was thinking of watching the Drew Barrymore video until I noticed that it's 2 1/2hour long! I'm sure you've dug out a lot of materials about her so shortening the video would have made it less detailed. I suggest that you split it into 2 to 3 parts- always good to have your viewers come back for more, and the attention span of a RUclips viewer is just over 1/2 hour long. But then I notice that video IS Part 1! I don't know what to suggest at this point 😁

I was waiting for 'Dark Hollywood' secrets to reveal themselves - ummm? This is basically a log of her career. How exactly is this dark?
    Well presented, but lacking depth
    No offence intended

@Kelly Buck You guys ignored the small factoids mixed in with the details of her movie roles. The fact that she was in relationships with male adults while being well below age of consent. Pedophilia. The fact that she was in the hotel that Belushi died in, that Polanski and Tate frequented, which means it is a hotel in which the elite frequent, and perform rituals in. Her constant trips to the hospital for exhaustion, which if you understand MK ultra programming, means that those were her trips to be programmed.

This was a waist of time! I kept waiting for the "dark Hollywood" expose to come forth! Basically an autobiography of Wynonna Rider. A good bio but very misleading title! Shame on you for click baiting everyone!

@@PGO_Gaming, I was JUST going to write the very thing you wrote and then I saw yours. There may be, and probably IS a lot of "eyes wide shut" on here, nevering having done any homework on the cabal, the satanic ritualistic groups and "secret societies" that are made up of the wealthy and the elites. No understanding, equals no comprehension!
NO clue as to how the exceedingly rich and celebrities just go about, doing what they will, with whom and however they chose, when ever they chose. This includes our own government too! And THEN hold it against one another, over each other's heads as some kind of bargaining tool! Blackmail, black masses, black witchcraft
Most have NO clue as to how BADLY they are out to harm our children, our babies, our MOST precious treasures!
They either don't WANT to see it all yet, or they are not READY to see and know the truth! Maybe one day they'll WANT to see and it or will be READY to see and it will all come to them as it has us!
Oh, and no offense Pamela, but it's WASTE, as in "It's a waste of time for me to try and get a smaller WAIST because I love my chocolate!: LOL

@@lidzhere Yup, they live in the matrix. It is what it is. If the narrator outwardly told them what he believes to be true about Ryder, they would label him a conspiracy theorist and cease to watch his material.

If you guys want gossip and dark secrets then go watch mainstream news. It's like you would have been happy if he made up some trashy bullshit. This dude put a lot of time and effort into this video and what have all you haters offered except bitching. Go clean your room.
