Less than a day after Amber Heard gave formal notice of her intent to appeal the verdict in Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against her, the Aquaman star’s ex-husband has launched his own countermove.
In paperwork filed this morning in Fairfax County, the former Pirates of the Caribbean actor has put his legal players on the board. “Plaintiff and Counterclaim-Defendant John C. Depp, II, by counsel, hereby appeals to the Court of Appeals of Virginia from all adverse rulings and from the final judgment order of this Circuit Court entered on June 24, 2022,” said the four-page notice of appeal

Amber Heard filed a notice of appeal on Thursday of the $10 million defamation verdict that a Virginia jury awarded to her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
Heard’s lawyers had announced they would appeal immediately after the jury found on June 1 that she had defamed Depp by publishing an op-ed in the Washington Post. ”The jury held that the statement was false and was made with “actual malice.”
“We believe the court made errors that prevented a just and fair verdict consistent with the First Amendment,” Heard’s spokesperson said on Thursday. “We are therefore appealing the verdict. While we realize today’s filing will ignite the Twitter bonfires, there are steps we need to take to ensure both fairness and justice.”

None of us know the nature of their relationship. Some marriages allow third parties as long as approved by both married participants. It does not speak to any violence or abuse. I mean drugs was a normality to their relationship until one of them started changing the goals and expectations.

Yeah that part was rough. Real rough. Trying to discredit Dr. Curry because the lawyer team interviews her to get her credentials at Johnnys home and provided dinner and she may have had a drink. During the early June 2016, Cara was seen with a black eye. Then shortly after, her appearance began to change drastically. She lost a lot of weight, wore glasses all the time, trolling people in person on red carpet events, and doing bizarre things...then disappeared. Maybe compare pictures of her appearance from 2015-2016. Either way, not cool...still in love with JD? This is the most genuine emotion I've seen AH.

AH had studied everything about JD, and used that knowledge to brain wash him into thinking he had found his soul mate. Her motives were $$$...and attention. She needed someone to support her habits. The Mental and physical abuse, and sabotaging... She was leading him to a dark place. As a DV survivor, my momster did that to my father. He committed suicide. He had no voice. She separated him from friends and family. I've never spoken of it until this. It's been 43 years. JD has helped the DV community. We don't have to duck, cover and hide. He gave us hope... There is help... There are good people that care, and we don't feel alone any longer. This community is bigger than I could have imagined. Peace harmony and hugs to those that need it... Some people justifying those videos saying they broke up when these moments happened is not logical. They(AH/EM, AH/JF, AH/CD) all had history by the time the videos are taken. So it doesn't matter they were broken up at that time or not. JD was not paranoid nor jealous out of nowhere

At the end of the day, no matter what their relationship status was, I personally wouldn't want to continue living in my abusers house, I'd be getting as far away from there as possible. It's weird, makes no sense and as a survivor myself it was just another thing that confirmed to me she was lying. Only reason to stay would be to hang out with Alex because he's great and comes across as a really lovely fun guy to be around!!
So true! You'd never stay after abuse, cause the place has too many memories and is triggering. And also having intimacy with different ppl IN that building wouldnt be an option. Intimacy would be triggering too. Trust would be broken.. She just lied about this!
