K, what I did was using a dremel grinder with an abrasive wheel, I enlarged one of the holes in the disk, but, it wasn't working, the egg just wasn't turning enough. Even at 20 seconds. Soooo, I had some shelf liner I got from Micheals craft store and cut out a piece using the cardboard matt that came with the incubator. Didn't work, too much traction, sooo, I put the traction side down, and viola! worked like a charm! It grabbed the "floor" of the incubator but still had enough traction to grab the egg well. Also, the egg would start to spin end for end. hmmm, I put a egg I got from my chicken that lays huge eggs, slightly smaller than my peahen and it kept the peahens egg straight. And at 20 seconds they both turn 180 degrees perfectly. Make sure that the shelf liner has one side that is more slip resistant than the other, that side goes down.
I hope this helps anyone that bought this machine thinking that it would turn peahen eggs. Or anyone that doesn't want to spend the big money for a huge incubator.

I'm totally off grid. Do you know the amps or watts it draws?
I am incubating 5 hen eggs with this incubator for my classroom starting this week. What setting would you recommend for the turn interval and turn angle? Currently I was thinking every 60 minutes for the interval and then have it set to a 9 for the angle. Thank you for your help!

Only one problem with this incubator is that you can only use the hatching matt once!
As the hatching mat can get very messy most customers prefer to dispose of it by composting. Some customers have made their own re-usable mats from the non-slip kitchen draw liners that you can buy from the discount shops, this works very effectively and can then be washed and disinfected before your next hatch. What size of spinner should I use for Guinea Fowl eggs? The 12 egg or 7 egg?

Guinea Fowl would be best in the 7 egg. Don't think they'd fit in the 12 hole option.
So do you fill this both side with water from day one? Or just fill the other side lockdown? Or 19th day?

How long should the mini advanced 11 take to get to temp 37.5 c from cold??

When do I put my eggs in the hatching mat.

'Remove the top, take out the egg disc and insert the hatching mat into the base two days before the hatch is due. Lay the eggs directly onto the mat. Don’t re-use hatching mats. Replacements are available from brinsea.co.uk or your local stockist (product code 14.901).'

Can you do a review on hatching quail and how to setup
Hi Benjamin,The procedure for setting quail eggs is the same as setting chicken eggs as in the video. Depending on which type of quail you are hatching, will obviously differ in length of time. Is there anything in particular you want to know? You are welcome to phone the office 0345 226 0120 for a chat.
