Thanks to Chris Taylor's hint below. I managed to cut it open. You need to cut it very carefully especially near the spout. I did not record it, but you can and show other people. My motor was stuck, once I unjammed it, the pump is working again.

Great, all I got out of this was how to take it apart. Apparently, Part 2 never happened because the creator probably got the stupid music stuck their head and it made them forget to do Part 2. 🤦♀️
I dismantled my pump, but have no idea how to proceed troubleshooting. The pump will not power up nor take a charge. But blue indicator light flashes for a 2 seconds and then shuts down. Any suggestions on how to proceed?
The battery is a 3.7V battery, but it is completely sealed. You may be able to cut a small piece on the top and bottom of the battery and try to test the voltage of the battery. The battery could be dead. It could be the PCB board, and that you cannot replace. Good Luck.

@Jade Tran apparently u just showed up what every one knows how to do it this is not new. Your title says “The easiest way to fix the Simplehuman rechargeable soap dispenser” it is not true because u are not saying how to fix it. And the problem with my soap dispenser is ‘NOT CHARGING’ no dispensing soap.
SIMPLE SOLUTION TO SOAP DISPENSER PROBLEM. If blue light still works follow the instructions as in Part one. Once apart, use a very small drinking straw brush and insert into the long tube using water. Brush the tube in and out quite a few times and you will see the soap starting to foam as you work the brush up and down. This technique will eventually unclog the soap and it will start to spurt out liquid. That's it.
My soap dispenser does not make foam and this type of soap dispenser from the vídeo does not make foam. Apparently u don’t know much about soap dispenser sorry.
Thanks for showing part 1. I also would be very interested to see how to take apart the top unit. AS for my dispenser, everything is working (charging, powering up) However, when I put my hand under the sensor, I can hear the pump sound, but soap is not coming out. Any suggestion?
Thank you for your comment. We have been fixing the house so I haven’t made the second part yet but I will do it sometime next week. For your dispenser I think maybe the soap dried up and block the path way. You may want to try to wash the path way to see if it works. Good luck!
@@Jadevhn I think there might be a O-ring or rubber band that connects the motor to the pump, and it could be broken, hence I hear sound (motor), but no soap coming out. That is why I am very interested in how you can disassemble the top piece. Eagerly awaiting.
Thanks to Chris Taylor's hint below. The seam is about a1/4" from the top. I managed to cut it open. You need to cut it very carefully especially near the spout. you have to figure what caused your problem.
Thats very helpful, have you worked out how to dismantle the top unit yet?. There's clearly a join near the top of the unit but its not obvious how it can be separated although the bottom end of the fill tube (which is part of the top piece) has some kind of seal with 4 indents, maybe a latching mechanism?. I will be very interested to see your part 2 video

Once the unit is opened. There is a tiny computer board at the side. Both the pump and the battery are plugged into it. The battery is a rechargeable 3.7 V battery. It may not be easy to find, not sure if it is NiCad or NiMh. If you have a new one, just disconnect the old one and plug the new one in. Hope this helps.
My pump was replaced under warranty so I decided to disassemble it. The pump would not charge, the blue light would flash twice then nothing. The pump is glued together ☹️ I destroyed mine taking it apart. There is a seam near the top of the pump. I cut around it using a knife then forced the top off with a screw driver. Once the top is off everything is accessible and easily removable. I did not see anything obviously wrong. The unit is sealed extremely well and the PCBAs are coated to prevent water damage. Probably the battery, need to test it next time I have access to equipment.
Hi Chris. I am planning to mine apart as well. I had a different problem. Mine charges, and I can hear the motor but soap is not coming out. Is there a belt connected between the motor and the pump? Thanks.
@@louistsao5899 there is no belt, the motor directly drives moving the soap. If no soap is coming out then the line is clogged. I recommend trying to flush the device by filling the dispenser with hot water and run it. Hopefully the hot water will clear the line. There is no way to disassemble this without damaging it, it is glued together. You can try cutting the top off at the seam then gluing it back down. Do not try prying the top off to break the glued seal, that will damage the top beyond repair.
@@christaylor4529 Thanks for the advice. I will try the hot water trick. If still does not work, I will try to open the top up and see what is going on. Wi ll keep you posted,
Chris. How deep did you have to cut? Is the seam about 1/4" from the top? I am using an Xacto knife (box cutter) and cut to only about 1/8 inch, but couldn't pry it open. Any suggestions?
Hi Chris. Success. It took a while but managed to open it. My problem is the tube connected to the reservoir is torn, that is why no soap came out. Trying to figure out how to fix it. As for your problem, may be it is the battery that is not holding charge. However, it is a special battery with 3.7V output. Not sure where you can find one. Will keep you posted,
I actually claimed the warranty and got all the replacements for all the pumps that I purchased within 2 years. They asked me to take pictures of the codes on the bottles, record a short video to show them all the pumps that stop working and I got the replacements within a week. I didn’t post the second part of this video because I have tried so many ways to fix my pumps but nothing worked, so I just claimed the warranty and got new pumps. I bought total 7 of them and got 4 replacements.
Please see Chris Taylor's hint at the bottom. I opened it by using a box cutter. It takes a little patience and you need to be very careful around the spout. Hope this help.

I need a charger where can I get it
I list the charger. I need to get one any idea ?

Simplehuman does not honor warranty; in fact, they won't even message you back when you make a claim. Avoid. You have been warned

What’s up with all these folks that use Knives where a screwdriver are intended.
