Turned out to be a very calm episode, expect some chaos in the next one! Also, still missed things in Stormveil Castle but I read some hints in the comments of my previous video, so we'll go back to the castle again lol
Thank you for a very enjoyable episode. There are items you missed in Stormveil but the largest part - go to "Liftside Chamber" go up the lift and explore - there are ledges and routes you can jump to to continue and it will take you back round to the last locked door and a further area to go down into. You can also go to "Secluded Cell" and go up to the same area. The red barrels (that explode) can be exploded by you - fire pot, fire arrow or bolt. The area you keep looking across to is the starting area and you will get back there. The Chapel in Stormveil is where you meet Sorcerer Rogier for the 1st time but as you have killed Godrick he has gone to the RT Don't worry about messing up quests, it's your first time and you will learn. Roderika just moves to RT and you miss dialog. There is more talking you need to do at RT and you continue to miss the Invasion (another "downstairs") Liurnia is huge and has loads of content, it will probably take another 9 episodes to do it all justice so take your time and keep having fun - those Lobsters are in the same category as Rune Bears, wait 'til they use their sniping ability on you!! So two reminders - Explore, explore, explore & NIGHTTIME, NIGHTTIME, NIGHTTIME. I keep forgetting to say, one of the techniques that they don't explicitly tell you - to jump further run and WITHOUT letting go of the run do a jump. There is one specific area coming up that you HAVE to do this or you won't make the jump . . ever.
Theres also the divine tower on stormhill with the giants you found earlier . It doesn't take you out of stormviel, its kinda like an alley or dead end if you will
Finally in Liurnia! Your reaction to discovering that Shabriri grapes are eyes was great lmao. There's lots of things to do in Liurnia, the next episodes are going to be really fun!
@14:59 You're not allowed to fight in this room because, if you come here before defeating Godrick the Grafted, there is an NPC merchant here that sells ashes of war. Since you already defeated Godrick, the merchant has moved to Roundtable Hold, but I don't think you found him yet.
Hiya, Baya! I'm still at the beginning of your video but I thought I'd offer a quick pointer. 09:55, you dismissed this halberd as a weapon for a strength build. Just like in Dark Souls 3, you can infuse weapons to suit whatever build you like. Unlike in Dark Souls 3 though, you can do it freely at any grace with Ashes of War (no need to farm Heavy or Sharp Gems!). So really, while some weapons might naturally lean better in one build over another, you can use any weapon of your choosing by giving it a Keen affinity (equivalent to 'Sharp' in Dark Souls 3).
Crucible Knights, best parry teacher in the game. I used to hate them at first but then i got over that. Spent a couple of hours practicing with the Knight in the evergaol and found practically all of his moves can be parried. Either the buckler shield or any small shield is best.
Hey Baya, I went back to see if anyone on previous post told you about “how to handle the fire pillars”. 1: You need to pick up a crossbow or a bow, arrows for bow, bolt for crossbow. I prefer a bow because you can place a crosshair on the fire pillar at a distance so not to take damage from the fire and shoot the pillar causing it to sink into the floor. 2: Run around the fire pillar (I have seen you do it before) to the back side and hit the pillar once with your weapon causing the pillar to sink into the floor.. Once the pillar have lowered, it will stay there until you hit it for a second time. You could leave the cave, tunnel or catacomb and the pillar will still be lowered when you go back to the cave, tunnel or catacomb. Baya, you are deadly with those dual swords.
2:00 -"What's that?" It's where we started the game! You'll get back there eventually. Yay for power-stancing and jump attacks and throwing knives. Smart use of the tools. I like to see it. I close the telescope by hitting right arrow to switch weapons. I don't know a better way, I just know it's not going to make me fall off a cliff. It seems there is no direct way to put away the telescope. 14:15 - You would have met Rogier here, and he sells you magical ashes of war, but once you beat Godrick, he moves to the Roundtable Hold. There is of course a way to the bottom of Stormveil Castle. Try starting from the Secluded Cell site of grace and carefully exploring anywhere you can get to in the courtyard with the jars nearby. The other place it looks like you still have to go through is the gate front area which has some important things worth checking out. To do that safely, you want to kill all the exile soliders aiming ballistas at the gate. Do so from above them first, so they don't snipe you with their exploding ballistas. You were above them in that area with bridges and all the Banished Knights in this episode. It's okay to take the graces you are finding. Sitting at a grace in the Altus Plateau area will change and move some things in the game, which is just fine if you've already explored the areas prior to the Altus Plateau, including Caelid. Even if you do, it won't ruin your game. The game lets us go various dangerous places we aren't ready for yet. That's part of the excitement! If we are doing little damage/taking big damage, that's our cue that we may not be ready for an area yet, of course. That and finding smithing stones and golden runes with levels much higher than we were finding before. We could go through that portal to the Dragonbarrow before doing anything else in the game if we wanted to! Or that teleporter chest from Lake Agheel to Caelid. When you are looking at items in your inventory, you can hit R to switch to more detailed information and lore on each item. If you are having problems with your auto-target switching targets when you aren't trying to, turn Toggle Auto Lock-On to "off" in the Game Options menu. 47:00 - I recommend always buying the smithing stones merchants carry when you come across them, or at least as soon as you can afford them. Smithing stones are limited in various ways much of the time. 48:00 - Caves? Check out right below where you are here, at lake level in case you never came back. Liurnia Lake is huge! Cheers!
Next time you visit Roundtable check the balcony, ...and consider jumping off 😊. GGs in Liurnia, ofc you missed dungeon 😂 exactly where you expected one to be, south-east side of swampy area.
4:04 - wait until you find the Serpent-Hunter!!!!! 5:43 - wait until you fight two of them at the same tiime! in a closed arena !!! Just wait! hahahaha 18:16 - Liftside Chamber site of grace - go up the lift - down the stairs - turn left - keep going on your left - jump on the ledge in front of you - go to your right - jump on the other ledge with a passage. Now you are on your own. 27:25 - I believe you can give him up to 7 deathroots. You'll get new items if you do so. DO NOT KILL HIM (attack only if he attacks you). 29:36 - they are called Vulgar Militiamen. As they are small, they attack in groups. You're gonna see more of them. You can farm them for runes. 35:39 - wait until you fight two of them... ...with poison and stuff! 37:38 - you can use one flask of crimson tears to revive Torrent. 38:40 - that is a great area to explore and farm runes. 54:37 - quite funny thing to say!!!! 1:05:00 - Hyetta is close to that site of grace. Liurnia is a very big area. So many things to find. One place I think you should look for is the Village of the Albinaurics. It is close to the swap area on the south. When you enter Liurnia, stick to your left and ride until you see a slope that leads to the area. There is a key item and an NPC there. After getting this key item (you'll know what it is), go straight to the roundtable for a surprise.
15:01 sign means you cannot use weapon (safe area). There are sign of tombstone same place if you in area where summoning is enabled, that answers your previous questions "why I can't use my summons" 😊 22:35 you didn't went that route from grace before boss I wrote last episode 😢 You should check it, and then you might say that you got 99% Stormveil done.
In terms damage output, the paired jumping attack (with both swords) are the strongest for your current build. Despite not being strong, the paired run attack and paired backstep are very fun.
Fun episode, there is so much to discover in Liurnia that I'm sure you'll be exploring it for awhile yet. And that was impressive how you found the hidden area behind the Beastial Sanctum. Not many people find that on their own. Did you end up making it safely down to the bottom? There was an item that you fell next to, but it's not clear if you ended up getting it or not?
It was quite a suprise finding that (eventually) I just happened to be wandering around and looked through my telescope and saw the enemies down there and then realised you could go down. It is a tricky journey down but rainbow stones are your friend.
35:09 you been places i never seen :D there are common items rare and legendary, as far as i know, the common glow white, the rare like in the timestamp with a bit blue an legendary are kind of yellow i think, i wondered why you didnt go back to collect it, maybe you didnt know about or just didnt care, i wanted to say that there are different raritys in items, maybe just an aarteria leaf, that would be dissapointing haha a bit of a meme in elden ring

Ahh, Magic spells. Don't be afraid to invest a few points in Faith to get a spell or 2, especially for pulling single mobs from groups. Or at the very least, take that Horned Bow (it scales with Int.) you picked up and do what I did as a Mage - max it out with Smithing Stones and use it to pull and/or chip mob health from a distance. You will find yourself many times in situations where you can't close the gap and need good ranged options. Added: 17:43 You're past trap chests. You needn't afeared young Tarnished. 38:19 You might be tempted to try and wrangle all the NPC quests your first time through - don't. You literally need to sit and read a strategy guide, which I wouldn't recommend. Small hint though: Anything Death, or Deathroot related is very very important, especially at End game. 51:31 Look closely at the map - the zones where you haven't found a map fragment yet, you can see a tiny little tower Icon in the undiscovered area - that little tower icon, IS where the map fragment is located. 53:52 Ok last recommendation - when you find an NPC in the world asking for something, open the map and place a Marker Icon - not the blue beam of light, an actual green Marker Icon where that NPC was located. It could possibly be dozens of hours before you interact with them again -or their questline - and by then you'll forget where you even encountered them. Lots of NPC's do get marked by the game, but specific ones, like Walking Mausoleums... Ok, sorry for wall of text, have fun.
