Love the opening! Former Southie boy, here, raised in Andrew Square, right on Dot Ave! That old Andrew Station was demolished in 1991 -- I can remember the big pile of rubble!

Reminds me of my youth, born at St. Margaret's hospital in 1960.

It appears that most of the film was shot in the early 1950"s.
The neighborhoods today aren't the best, especially Geneva Ave.
    Did enjoy looking back.

This is the best of the Palme films; seeing little filmed parts of Boston before their decline.

Wonderful video montages! I wish all those trolleys still ran. Busses just don't cut it as a substitute!

You have a lot of great vids, but sadly you seem to have missed one line, The pleasant street incline that ran from Boylston Sta., coming out of a portal onto Tremont St. It closed down in the mid 60's. Excellent collection you have, I enjoy them, being from Boston, born and bred, 1953. Thank you. In fact I was born right across the street from the pleasant street portal, on Kirkland street, all now gone.
