Amazing how the principles of the Old testament will always apply. Seek first the kingdom of God.

Amazing teaching once again. I really loved Jehosaphats prayer to God. Today we just start with complaining and asking for help. He worshiped God with His words first. 1. I learned that before i start to worry, i should worship God (just even with my words). 2. God is sovereign - there's nothing I can't take to Him. 3. Even if my intentions are good and i desire peace with people I cannot use that as motivation or a justifiable cause to unequally yolk myself with people who are against God.

Thanks Pastor Paul. Verses 18:18-22 remind us that we are immersed in a spiritual ocean that we are mostly unaware of and thankfully God is sovereign over it. Notice how the method to "retire" Ahab was decided in the "spiritual court" presided over by God. The random arrow wasn't really random at all. And then we see the awesome power of God in verses 20:22-23 when He caused the enemy forces to self-destruct while Jehoshaphat and his army simply stand still! That's why the nation of Israel can stand alone against the world. Because with God on their side they cannot lose. God controls the heartbeat of every living creature on earth so even if the enemy has millions in their army, God can make them all drop dead in a heartbeat.

Abba father, in agreement with this message that compromise with those far away from the Lord is impossible and ephesians 5:11, psalm 107:14, 1 john 1:5, john 16:13, 2 chronicles 17-20 and especially 2 chronicles 18:21 I bind, cast out and cut off every lying, compromising spirit upon no return in my life, in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

I wonder if Jehoshaphat had prayed about the unity of Israel. One of the many Biblical situations where people take Gods work in their hands the wrong way….

Ahab knows it’s not the truth because Miciah spoke his original false prophecy sarcastically too

Pastor, in 2 Chronicles 18, what if King Jehosaphat continued to the battle with the mindset “Thy will be done”. As per Micaiah’s prophecy, it’s God’s will for King Ahab’s fall. King Jehosaphat knows that God is with him so even though King Ahab wanted him to wear his royal robe while king Ahab wear regular clothes, King Jehosaphat knows that God is with him. It is God’s will for king Ahab to die and not him. He trusted God that
    much. Thy will be done.
