    • @AK-kg1es
      @AK-kg1es 3 года назад +1

      @Kevin Belgrove sir I asked you a Bible verse where it says to call Him that particular name because you know the name Yahua we have only found YHWH because ancient Hebrew people thought that His name is so Holy that we should not pronounce it so they only wrote it as YHWH so that the reader in future won’t be able to pronounce it, the name that’s why it was written without any vowels and Yahweh or Yahua is not known that this is truely His name cause ancient people only wrote YHWH and they wrote letters in ancient Hebrew even Hebrews don’t know what he’s called if what you say that He should be only called my Hebrew names is true than you’re also not knowing His true name and no one knows yet. Than I see in the Bible that we must only believe of what is written in the Bible not what we think what we feel or see or hear because even satan dresses as Angel and gives false visions and false feelings He has control over them as well so not all you see or were taught by a spiritual being is correct, because that spiritual being can be the devil and how do you know whether it’s God or that being with your scripture. And the verse which you show me all who call upon His name shall be saved meaning all who have faith in Him, live and die for Him and devote themselves to Him the beliefs which you’re telling rn are very similar to worshiping those letter which you say are His true name when you don’t even know what is His name cause we just have these four letter without vowels YHWH. What do you make out of this and how do you know it’s biblical you can’t simple as that. And we don’t worship that name we worship Him if I just think salvation is in that name which we don’t even know is it not like making that name a god rather than that Supreme Being whine we call God and what does God means? What does it means than the word God means just the God the supreme being. And if you say that all those who say Jesus is Lord are false than for so many years you were false and maybe you wouldn’t find all whom you preached the name Jesus so you lead them to false? I know you won’t deny but than is it a thing. More so I am not debating just telling for you to think again like someone who is trying to oppose you than see your conclusion now and that conclusion and compare and see because we don’t know what are the vowels between YHWH.

    You have no idea how much you have helped me understand the bible. I just finished reading the book of Kings ,and guessed that Chronicles would be a boring repetitive book, and had no intention of reading it.But now that I watched the animated video I can be motivated to read it , because it made me understand that theres a special reason as to why that book was placed , and that may be to get an idea of what’s the overall God’s purpose at the end. Thanks, Bible Project.

    The way every book is set up and illustrated and laid out is just so perfect! I never knew how much the Old Testament scriptures spoke of the Messiah. The whole goal from the beginning to end is pretty much all about Jesus :)

    • @Gaminglord123
      @Gaminglord123 8 лет назад +34

      It's quite remarkable how many times the Messiah is mentioned, prophesied about and looked forward to. This is why even though the Old Testament is fantastic and is finished in its own right, it is not truly complete without the New Testament, which fulfils and compliments what came before it.

You've made studying the whole bible a joy to understand, especially some old Testament books like Chronicles. I've always skipped it at every attempt to read the whole bible, but this time the intro into it has made me looked forward to reading it from beginning to the end. May the Lord continue to bless the ministry. We are very grateful, thanq 👏👏👏👏

    Chronicles was written along side of all the over books. It was an ongoing book that you write things in. Like a Secretary's minutes. You can tell this by the book of Kings and Samuel. It begans to mention scribes and recorders and talks about the other books such as Chronicles. So this book was likely around for a duration of time.

    Beautiful...I'm currently rereading the Bible but the way I've chosen to read it this go around is different than traditional cover to cover, rather I began in Genesis in the OT and likewise Matthew in the NT but with the addition of a constant rotation of reading the wisdom book of Proverbs to correspond a chapter for each day of the month since there are 31 Chapters...I'm now nearing the end of 1 Chronicles and this was helpful with furthering my understanding because I was getting a bit lost in places...thank you guys for allowing Christ to use you and for the countless videos you bless us with...love all of you over at The Bible Project...GOD bless.

Why must I skip the literary treasures and most importantly the hope of the coming of the Messiah which I can relate to, as we too wait for Him just like the Israelites then to establish His kingdom here on earth! "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit rather in humility value others above yourselves." Philippians 2:3
    Live by following Jesus' perfect example. Just as He humbled Himself on the cross to die for us, humble yourself as well. As CS Lewis said "humility is not thinking less about yourself but thinking about yourself less." Also, love your neighbor as yourself. Hopefully this inspired and encouraged you today. God bless you.

    I’m reading the Christian Bible from cover to cover. I’m almost up to chronicles. Should I read it in the order it appears in the Christian Bible? Or should I read it as the last book of the Old Testament the way the Hebrew canon has it?

    One thing that I still havent been able to understand is why you would try to make David look perfect in order to show others what the coming messiah will be like. It seems to me that they got the prophecy that the coming messiah is going to be all wise and perfect so limiting him to being compared to even an idealized version of David is limiting him. Why wouldnt you just embrace the ugly parts of David and say "You remember how good of a king David was overall? Well this coming guy is going to be even better."? I mean that seems more effective and doesnt give people a sense of distrust when they find out that the messed up things David did have been suppressed.

    Who then rearranged the Jewish scriptures into the order we have in the bible, and why? And does the order matter even? Hmmm

    Oh man. They originally planned the entire Old Testament to come to end on an incomplete sentence? Sheesh. I mean kind of inspiring that they didn't intend to give it an end, but also bit of a let down to come to a random screeching halt. Just my own opinion of course.

    Love this channel, I do have a question maybe someone could direct me to where I should be asking this...
    I understand Chronicles is the last book in Jewish tradition. Is Chronicles the book referenced throughout Kings for example in Kings 1 15:7, Kings 2 8:23, Kings 15:21? If so, I do not understand how a older book like Kings can reference the newer Chronicles.

      You mean when they say The rest of the event are recorded in......"The Book of the History of The Kings of Judah" and "The Book of the History of The Kings of Isreal". I was thinking the same thing. I would like to know too. I think i read somewhere that those books that they are referring to are lost. I might be wrong tho.

    After watching all the OT videos, i must say that this was a fantastic foray and analysis of the old testament books! Really helped me understand the point of these stories much better than just reading them outright, which i will do now, knowing what they mean deep down.
    But first, i got a NT playlist i have to binge now!

    Christ instituted a spiritual temple. Paul’s letter to the Hebrews explains how the Jewish temple merely foreshadowed much greater spiritual realities having to do with Christ. That being the case, what purpose could possibly be served by recreating yet another earthly temple? The belief that another temple must be built on the site of the former one is a key teaching of what is known as Christian Zionism.
