I think these application drills are the most important way the essence of a style is transmitted. Thank you for putting together this fantastic demonstration and tutorial. As always, it is dense with valuable insight and information. Please keep sharing and know that it is deeply appreciated.

Nice, Gentlemen, but what if it can be divided into levels, say first Gou, for defence then Lou pressure block and Cai subsequent attack to the body. Nice idea of walking on the limbs, to be ccompleted on the body. The problem is not in the instructor, but in the students levels´ with in the different abilities to of students, i have experienced. Beginners react late , Intermediate : during and only Advanced student are able to lact preemtiveli , either in defence or attack. My suggestion for training students with different physicalabiities in term of reaction time: -Beginners should train only Gou at the wrist distance and sharpen their reaction time. -Intermediate should also be aloweed to practice presso block -Lou l Advanced can be allowed to attack body after having completed the two previous stages, or applyall the three preemptively. In my experience a master of any style seldom allows to be catched. Paul, 67, retired instructor of Karate.
Dante I like your Tang Lang Quan ...This is an application of Bong Bo ("Crushing Step") This form has different variations. Some moves are different from different masters. Do you have a video of how you do this form? 🤔Thank you ....
Yes Nikola, the twelve keywords are "all" concepts present in Beng Bu. It is a characteristic of this Taolu. There must be several videos about Beng Bu made by me, I'll find them and link them to you here.
For the moment I have only found Lin Beng Bu, which is the Taolu performed in pairs, but I remember having also dedicated a video to the complete form ruclips.net/video/VP-xPJW18TU/видео.html
@@DanteBasili yes...I watched all your videos but couldn't find the whole form. At the beginning of the form after the "mantis catches a cicada" movement, some do a block with their hand and a palm strike with the same hand. Some do just a palm strike. In the middle and end of the form in many also have different variations. The application and execution of the form is not correct for many. But I like your execution and application of the forms. What kind of book is that at the beginning of the video?
@@nicola5860 Nicola, you know my work better than me! I remember documenting Beng Bu, but I probably never uploaded the video... it has to be done. Thanks for pointing that out. The book is an old publication where all of Beng Bu is explained, the version of Beng Bu in pairs. Book ISBN 7 - 81003 - 468 - 5 / G . 359
Non preferisco. Come scuola ho scelto trentacinque anni fa di lavorare sul Tang Lang Quan nei corsi di base, ma tutto quello che ho studiato è per me importante.
@@muzzafarbueno4298 language is only a tool, there are subtitles to his videos available, what i meant is that the master doesn´t just show a technical drill like hubud or chisao, he shows, what in many chinese arts is called jin, roughly translated combative energies, depending of the arts there are different names and concepts, so the video is not about moving your arms in space, but what you visualize, he shows 6 of tanglang so i guess there are 6 more, if there are 12, in XingYi there are 8, i think in BaGua also 8 in Taichi 13
It’s all impractical. You would get hit in real fight because 1) when someone punch him his arm would stay still fir him to do so many things. 2) when someone kick you they will retreat their foot back for another attack. Also another factor is in real fight people tend to move forward so there is not much distance for that master performing all this fascinating and yet impractical skills. If you take a look in some street fight or MMA then you know more about real fight.

Yes, the practical application helps us understand the very essence of the technique 🙏🏽

Io e Stefano Danesi ci abbiamo scritto un libro :) Vedo se posso caricare la versione PDF da condividere...
