Graduated H.S. in 67. I was playing drums in a local garage band and really getting into the music of the times. These were good songs back then, but IMO, this was just the beginning of the best music. Late 60's and early 70's.

Oh my God. I'm so sorry. 😢 That's why our music from the 60's & 70's have deep meanings to us. It somehow brought us all together with the same concerns, doubts, fears and love & freedom & peace. We all felt connected. I'm ashamed how the guys who did survive and came back were treated so disrespectfully. Guess every generation has those type of people.

Half of these songs had studio musicians on the recording - either the Wrecking Crew in Hollywood, ("Windy," "I'm A Believer," "Light my Fire (bass only,) "Somethin' Stupid,") or the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (aka "The Swampers") in Alabama, (R-E-S-P-E-C-T). The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section was the band playing behind Bob Seger on "Main Street," "Old Time Rock N Roll," and behind Rod Stewart on "Tonight's The Night," among many other songs from the 60's and 70's.
