I easily caught two and skimmed them off when doing the clip on guys, but the smoke from the adhesive on the stick on ones was acrid. I learned that putting in some paraffin and lighting it makes the smoke a lot better, as it gets pushed up faster, though.
That was after a lot of skimming. I re-watchedsome of Fortunecookie45lc's videos on the highest resolution, and the crystal pattern looks like the nearly pure lead ingots from his lead foils. I'm going to keep that batch separate and be much more careful about pre-sorting when I get more. The zinc was intact enough that I know what that brand looks like.
That might make much harder bullets than normal from what I have recently learned. You need to subscribe to Andy 79z28 & Willie the bulletman, like Brokeloader said, also James Pollard to mention a few. Go to "Uncle Jim" channel, look for popular video and search through commenters for others as well. You know you can click a commenter avatar and go right to their channel. Mike
I've never worked with wheel weights so I have no idea. I'm sure somebody will come along shortly 👍
tpyically when you go to remelt the ingots to cast (lower temps) the zinc will float out and you can skim off

I say run with it and skim it off the top, maybe run that batch by itself

I'm going to get a drafting pencil set for hardness testing once I get a mold. Nothing is going down my barrel unless it passes muster.
