I agree with the other comments saying that this interview is BY FAR the best in terms of thoughtful questions being asked. what stood out to me was the question about the backgrounds of julia's parents. reading the book I could relate to the soulwrenching pain caused by parental (emotional) neglect and I tend to curse on my own parents as I would on her's for being such d***heads. and I know that I forget a lot of the time that my parents had it bad, too, when they were little. otherwise, they would not have failed so often as my caregivers. but what I was feeling as a child (and still nowadays) is that they withheld the things I needed as a form of punishment. it's kinda relieving to turn around the perspective and look at it like people cannot give you what they themselves never had, they cannot teach what they don't know. so I appreciate you asking that question specifically, to generate some context for how trauma is oftentimes somewhat generational and that we can end this cycle by becoming conscious of that.

I absolutely loved her book! Listened to it twice! I learned so much about her career! She seems like such an incredibly safe person to be around, new goals to get to do her makeup (I’m a mua) I love you Julia ❤
Finally, I found the channel that I am into it. I love to read books by well-known people who contributed a lot. By reading their novel, I gained an enormous amount of words. Then I write an overview of it. Moreover, summarize the story. I developed an English language. Thank you for your service.
@@charmedprince It wasn't a jab or anything, I just find it funny because celebrities are so PR trained that they never need to throw a "you know" in because they give such basic answers. I do it all the time, you just never see anyone in the media say it.
I love Julia! She’s always been that it girl for me. I discovered her IG when she was up to no good! I was so infatuated by this wild girl who whore the cutest outfits all on one. I could tell she was on one cos I was on one back then too hahahaha she’s down af and love her. It breaks my heart how her mom didn’t care for her. She’s so amazing for turning out so loving and giving ❤ mad respect
I do think a unique aspect of the book is the theme of close female friendships , and I think the way she described abusive relationships and her own self inflicted enablement to continue w these men was very honest and a necessary narrative for women readers who have been there before . But honestly I think she could have written more about work ethic , on the final page where she concludes with the inspirational moral that even a weird girl like her succeed seems a bit tone deaf considering the very rare and lucky ways she made her money and was then privileged enough to make social connections at clubs /parties ect . Additionally it also bothered me that she boasts about not signing the nda with Kanye but other than learning he’s a bit of a love bomber I can’t say I’m too surprised by any of the behavior she wrote about in the book . Overall though I’m happy I bought and read the book and supported her , because it’s true often woman’s work is minimized and ridiculed and this book for me stands as a symbol for reclaiming what we woman want to celebrate .
Oh shit, you’re right. Sucks,mi imagine the mics died? Damn, with three mics in the room you’d hope they would have them all powered separately. Great interview though!
I feel like Ashley is really dissatisfied with how the interview started. Clare made it sound a touch unprofessional that they’d just finished the book an hour before Fox walked in, and then Ashley tries to recover it and ends up asking a question Fox has “been hearing a lot” - so quite a weak opening as the next Barbara Walters of this generation. But.. keep at it.
thanks so much for the feed back julia herself had actually emailed us the PDF 24 hours prior so she was very understanding and appreciative of the fact that we were able to read it so quickly but excellent and astute reading of the room!
she gives such girls girl energy and i know shes like... a safe presence. genuinely want to hang out wit her
She does it for the girls and gays
Me too!
Me too!
Same, she's so normal and non judgemental I love it.
julia is a director material. she can make movies! she has the potential!!!

agreed ! she has the mind for a director i think she would make brilliant movies
I WOULD LOVE her movies omg
I hope she gets to direct or screenwright or something someday! I just adore her. A truly original, genuine, unique woman.
the book is riveting and well written. i cannot believe that is her life so far. insane
and she’s only 33 imagine the next 33 years !!
she should really make her memoir into a movie!
I feel like it would be a good television series too
@@cam_quinna tv series would be absolutely insane. i would love that.
I just finished the book. And I can’t get enough. Read it in less than two days.
same and somehow listening to the audiobook again right after?😅
The book is amazing. This is such a good interview and she’s so authentic and articulate 🩷
First interview I watch where the questions are super relevant and questions I would have wanted to ask her too!!!! Loved it
EXCELLENT questions! So impressed

She is so self aware. I def trauma bonded with girls too. They became my only one. This is directly due to the severed emotional connection w the mom.
Same ....never thought it was possibly due to underlying issues with my mom. You learn something new everyday

I stated her book today and I’m 163 pages in. I can’t put it down
I’m buying this effing book
one thing you can always count on is Julia Fox saying "you know" a million times in every interview lmao
It's an intelligent thing, you wish the person you're talking to doesn't get lost in the train of thought because it would be a waste of spit
It’s so me I do it all the time lmao
@@DehartcarI do this all of the time too.

Oh c’mon ubah’s meltdown was NOT that bad. Major side eye Julia 🙄, it was definitely edited to stereotype her but ok

Did anyone count the number of times Julia says “you know?”
you know, who cares?
LIKE, a hundred times!😮
Violate others compromise others. Yeahhhh yah knowwwww
The “it” she had- was a silver spoon gifted by family….. and Kanye.
you clearly didn't listen to a word she said, nor read the book
best podcast ever or its just my fav
