- In this video I take my Full-Bolt-On BMW 355i N55 to a mobile dyno to finally to get some real horsepower and torque numbers! The performance mods I have on my N55 are a CTS Turbo high flow catted downpipe, CTS Turbo Intercooler, CTS Turbo Intake, and CTS Turbo chargepipe, tuned with Bootmod3 Stage 2 91 Octane.

I almost got a 435i instead of my 440i.. but wow, on a stage 1 93 no bolt on’s , I made around 378whp 403wtq. B58’s are monsters

I am almost FBO on a F32 N55. Waiting to get my catless downpipe installed. Going between 91 and 93 octane, the butt Dyno feels a pretty large difference. Once I get the downpipe on I will be running the E30 tune. BM3 claims the E30 will boost the numbers MUCH higher. That 91 octane ESPECIALLY in California sucks and it is robbing you of power. Mixing E85 with your 91 to get a mixture octane of 93 could make a world of difference in my experience.
Dang, if only we had 93 and the gas wasn't so bad. I'd want to try using E85 but I just don't fully understand how to do the appropriate mixture measurements and all that.
@@InlineSixAuto Most tunes come with an auto adjusting map. You just put in 25-30% mix, and if the tune supports it, it will auto adjust.
JB4 does it with map 5. It will give you a massive boost in horsepower, and I mean massive. You should be over 400WHP with an E mix with those mods, and that’s about as good as it gets without turbo upgrades. Might be a bit less with the cats.

Curious to know if the car was in dyno mode during the test. That could explain your not so pretty graph.
How do you put the car in dyno mode?
Get a tune, upgrade your hpfp and you will make better #’s.
Hey bro, how many miles does your f30 have, I’m a 115,000 and just want to know how reliable they perform with your mods
Mine has 71k miles. If yours still has the stock turbo with 115k miles, I'm not sure if it'll hold well with these mods because it puts extra stress on the turbo. I've heard thats around when the stock turbos start to fail even with stock power.
Nice. But patiwnce though. I have a F30 and i want some work done to mine performance wise but everythibg is so overpriced here on the west coast. I leave Washington for good for Florida in about 5 weeks. I can get more done for my money. Nice car by the way! 🥃

Hey man you should go with MHD I have a 2014 335i xdrive and I’m pushing 400hp and torque stage 1 no mods dyno tested, idk what exact mods your running but if you wanna dm we can and we can go over builds

What's conservative for the n55? It's my daily so I don't want to push her to hard, I'm about to go stage 1 mhd the only part of fbo I'm missing is downpipe which I will order tommorow morning
Stage 1 id say is more conservative. I’ve been running stage 2 with high flow Downpipe and I’ve been using mine daily pretty much and it’s just fine with the power numbers mentioned in the video. I’d say anything more is pushing it.

Numbers are worse than expected cause he's running a map geared for better gas than what's available for him in his area so the engine has to compensate and boom, disappointing numbers

Yeah man the gas over there isn't the best, luckily I'm in jersey and we have 93 octane so when the time comes I'm sure I'd be pushing nice numbers.

Well like I said I was only on the OTS BM3 stage 2 91 map with a high flow Downpipe. And apparently, I’ve concluded that the 91 gas here in California is not good either so now I’m probably going to switch to stage 2 91 ACN map. Also According to the other people who commented my graph shows that the engine ain’t running well as there are a bunch of dips probably because I wasnt on the ACN map.

Graph doesn‘t look clean at all. Don‘t know why you‘re running BM3, try MHD and run some logs to see if your timing gets pulled or boost drops or whatever seems to be the problem. The dips are horrible...
What’s wrong with BM3? I thought I saw you can run logs in bootmod3. Like I said I am new to this, so at what point are the dips in the graph you’re referring to?
@@InlineSixAuto looks like you might have a boost leak or something that curve should "fall off" at a constant rate so to speak.
Nothing's wrong with bm3. He's just spreading wrong information in terms of mhd vs bm3. If it was bad then f30 post would be going ballistic with bm3 bad threads
You should also say you're on the 91 ACN tune. If you aren't on the ACN tune then definitely swap over since Arizona, California, and Nevada does not have the same quality gas as the other statesGraph should be smooth and not filled with dips. Can be caused by plugs or coils too

@@KickTheCANss Oh okay, I was gonna say theyre basically the same and both are good from what I've seen at least, though I clearly don't have a lot of experience with all this lol. I was thinking it could be both of those. Cause I am not on the 91 ACN tune, just the regular 91.I have had a few other people point that out. And I'm pretty sure the plugs and coils have never been changed but I am planning to change them out anyway since its tuned now also. Probably should have done that before going FBO. But Thanks for you're input! Will definitely be looking into this.
