Looks great, Heather! Nicely done!
Thanks Billy! I think this one is my favorite so far!
Very nice Heather. It is fun watching you try new things. I have that in my saved list of things to do. Still have not done it and I saved it 3 years ago. Might be time now.
Yours looks great. May I suggest getting some black carpenter crayons. You mark you template with it and rub it against the turning and you find the high spots instantly.
Used it at work to get turnings exact.
Looking forward to what you do next.
Gary
I'll look into that crayon Gary! You should definitely try them. This was only my first one, but I will definitely be making more! They will get easier as I make more too
I may have to give one a try. It will be a nice light weight turning I will see how it goes.
Been using those crayons for about 50 years. Used a lot of red but the black seems softer and does a better job.
...love these geometric shapes...very well done!!!...👍
Matt
Thanks Matt. Sure that I'll get better with the second one.
Almost all of my videos are the first time trying , so I sometimes feel awkward, and realize after that I could have done things an easier way, but that's what learning is all about!
@@spiritwynd ...well, remember woodturning is not an exact science...learning is finding out what works best for you and what you can do with the wood nature provided you with...and you seem to be doing just fine...👍
Keep up the vids and I'll keep watching 'em...😉
Matt
Nice job Heather! Im loving these shapes! 😎❤👍
Thanks so much Dave!
Nice job. Love the paint job too 👍
Thanks Art!
This one I was waiting for Heather.
You could also use this shape as the grip on a lid, I'd say that would be cool! 😎
I was thinking it would make a cool tree ornament too!
Excellent!
Thanks Doug!
Fascinating and intriguing. And your ability for freehand symmetry is most impressive Heather. Thanks so much for showing us these projects, very enjoyable viewing.
Thanks so much Mark! I have another one coming up in the next video too. Then I may change it up a bit
Love the way it's turned out especially the colour.
I intend to make my first femisphere soon, I just hope it turns out as good as yours.
I'm sure it will turn out just as good! Just make a template of your radius, and stop often and measure, measure, measure!
Impressive! 👍
Thanks for watching ❤️
Excellent!! I’ve got to make one.
They are fairly easy too!
Hi Heather, Brilliant!!
I just watched Gary's video doing the same and he mentioned your version.
I honestly didn't know you had a YT Channel even though I have "chatted" to you many times in lives.
I am now subbed and hit the bell and I'm looking forward to watching your back catalogue of videos and have done the same for IG & FB.
Take care Heather.
Cheers, Huw
Thanks so much Huw! Looking forward to hearing what you think of my progress over the two years that I've been turning
Very cool Heather! That came out great.
Wes @ Piedra Designs
Thanks Wes!

That's not woodturning. That's black magic.
LOL!!
I'll take that as a compliment!🧙♀️🪄
