Are you chasing perfection in every shot? 'Your Photos Don't Need to Be Good' explores the profound impact of meaningful family photography. This film delves into the heart of what makes a photograph truly resonate-it's not just about the technicalities or the flawless composition; it's about the stories, emotions, and memories each image holds.

Wonderful video. Thanks for making it! It reminded me a lot of Matt Day's Photograph the People You Love: ruclips.net/video/CH1hPmtAous/видео.html&pp=ygUxbWF0dCBkYXkgdGFrZSBwaG90b3Mgb2YgdGhlIHBlb3BsZSB5b3UgY2FyZSBhYm91dA%3D%3D
I also think your point that the photo being important is more important than it being good a great one. I took photos when me and my wife where visiting family during Christmas, and a lot the photos have technical faults with them, but I love them. I've also shared those photos with said family members and they really appreciate it too. They do *not* care that something is slightly too cropped or slightly out of focus, they just love seeing actual photographs of people in everyday life (which people rarely capture with their phones).

….. but the photographs you have shared here are all good and not just because of those moments you speak about, but very well composed and edited. That takes time and skill. Great work

Yeah, I learnt this lesson when I found an out of focus photo of my mum and grandmum laughing together- years after they had passed. Their personalities were in that photo, and the camera, film stock etc. none of that mattered, apart from the moment captured - revisited years later.

The moments between moments.....From the movie Kodachrome : "That's why we're photographers....we take pictures to stop time....commit moments to eternity"

Love this, so great story and pictures! Reminds me of all years with the kids growing up. I often brought my camera, had to during 02-08 before the smartphone. Now you have inspired me to gather some of the most important pictures and do a slideshow. Thanks, really like you and your channel! // Patrik, Sweden (today using X-T3)

Brilliant. All my favourite images I’ve ever taken are of my kids. Since I first see your day in a life works I’ve relentlessly photographed my kids and I’m so glad I have. Quality as always Kevin.

¡GRACIAS...!

Nice Kevin, put the inspiration in me to create a family project for 2024. Going to take the best family images by month and put a book together. I know it’s been done by many but I haven’t. This is a good kick to get me going this year. 🎉
