- In this video, I test the Gaming performance as well as general day to day performance of the Nothing Phone 2A. This test is done after the Nothing OS 2.5.4 Update which fixes a lot of performance related issues.

You can play Genshin on highest settings with no problems, but gets hot over an hour or so.
if i lower the settings will it be constant 60 fps
Why not test Genshin on the highest setting? I play it on my Nothing Phone 2a and it’s pleasantly doing well. PGR, Honkai Star and BDM also goes well on high settings.
Broo does it run in full graphics in genshin impact because I'm also thinking to buy it. And only game I play is genshin

Genshin tests are best done on later areas of the game, as the test area shown here is easy on the phone.

Insightful video , thank you, personally speaking my understanding is that Nothing is struggling globally as their NP 2 sales haves plummeted due to unrealistic asking price hence they needed something to stay relevant and perhaps attract funding to do so! NP 2a reeks of SoC compromise and design compromise and to me one would be paying for the OS only , this Mediatek SoC is sub par to do anything meaningful and Nothing have fooled their fanboys with fancy ads and illusory words sadly !
Bro, most Nothing followers are super techy! Its performance and battery is on par with top brands. Nothing is not fooling around, even their NP2 outsold pixel series.
of course they are not cheap as Chinese counterparts.
I agree that on the surface it looks like a knee jerk reaction to the lower than expected sales of nothing phone 2.
But in reality, work on these products start atleast a year before launch if not more.
Companies usually expand their portfolio to target multiple market segments and that's what nothing is doing. The 2a series is for the sales volume while the number series is for brand building. They also have the CMF sub brand for even more aggressive pricing.
Coming to Nothing Phone 2a, it is actually a very good phone that offers a premium user experience.
The SoC is getting a bad rep for no reason. It obviously can't match upto the snapdragon 8+ gen 1 but it's more or less on par with snapdragon 870 which was considered to be an excellent chip back in the day. There is no serious heating or throttling. And some initial performance related issues were quickly fixed with an update just a few days after launch.
I'm not a fan of its complete plastic build but practically, I always use a case like pretty much everyone else. So, it's not a big deal.
My only criticism would be the lack of a charger in the box which is expected in its price range. And the storage type should've been UFS 3.1 instead of 2.2 for future proofing.

No, the game looks great. No tearing issue. It looks as good as it does on my s24 ultra.

I got the 8gb 128 gb version. Its good so far except for the random selection opening when i scroll up or down. Software experience is good for the price. This is not a gaming centric phon.
Was thinking about getting this version, but I do love gaming. Have you tested how it handles games, specifically high demanding games?
@@ads3047 I played pubg and I was able to handle it at high settings. I don't think I had 60 fps maybe around 40fps.

Technically, koi problem nahi aayegi lekin 256gb version better hai gaming ke liye. Kyunki, yeh sab games size mein bahot badi hoti hai, 60-70gb games hi le legi. Toh photos, videos, music aur baaki apps ke liye kam jagah bachegi.
Aur kisi bhi phone ki agar storage space zyaada bhar jaye toh phone thoda slow hone lagta hai. Toh ideally 25-30gb free rehna chahiye for optimal performance.
Isliye, 256gb version better rahega. Ram 8gb kaafi hai. 12gb lene ki zaroorat nahi. Isliye 8/256gb mera recommended version hai.
