Excellent demonstration. Love the simplicity of your approache. It makes it look a lot easier however, I also realize that this is a work of a real seasoned artist.Love it! You are an inspiration to us.
Good morning from Montana! I am fairly new to painting and have learned so much from you. Sometimes I get a little "intimidated" and have some hesitation before I slap on the paint but I say to myself "now, be brave, that's what David says"...lol! Thank you so much for your encouragement and dedication to teaching!
Im59... drawing more when I was young.now I been learning alot more painting..you've helped me understand n overall feeling about color in my painting..it doesn't have to be exactly the same.. color makes a real difference. I see what you're saying in this painting it's less stress on my brain not to have to worry about exact so thank you for that
Thank you for this video which I enjoyed quite a lot, as I am trying myself to get more familiar with loose brushstrokes, tone painting and colour mixing. Great teaching !
I love your videos and the paintings are so beautiful. I love the way you use colors and tones that really represent the beauty in landscapes. I'm a beginner beginner ( lol) practicing for a year and a half. 😁 I hope to get to where I can afford to get some of your supply lists. Until then, I still will practice and use what I have. Thank you David for your videos and techniques!😊💗 I love them!!
Thank you David Jansen, your sharing videos are always useful to those who are new to drawing like me. Your brushstrokes are so soft, and draw me in with each stroke. In addition, I am also impressed with your brush handling, it's new and skillful.
I’m painting with you and I love this! The last fisherman painting I thought it was just going to be practice, but my husband loved it, so I put it in a frame! You are a wonderful teacher and you make it fun! Thank you!
Greetings from Germany, David. A wonderful work of art! I'm relatively new to your channel but have already seen many of your videos and especially love your landscape, western and wildlife paintings. I will definitely try your technique with the acrylic colours, which creates great effects. But for now I'm going to have an intense look at this. Thank you so much, you are definitely one of the top painting artists on YT. ❤
Hi , I just started watching your videos. I'm fascinated by your paintings. I've never painted in acrylics before, but I got online and bought most of the sets of your heritage colors. I usually paint in watercolors and oils. I was reading up on the heritage and it says they are a multi media paint and can be used as many different media's depending on applications? On this painting you said you were going to tackle it mainly acrylic is it just the medium that's different? Just trying to learn as much as I can. I also notice that you start out with a very watery consistency of paint. Is that sort of like a alcohal base layer when doing pastels? Thank you!
Hi Michelle, There are lots of different ways you can use Heritage. I use them from everything like an oil to watercolor. I really suggest you join our MeWe Heritage group. Lots and lots of help there. I teach on there everyday. When you join MeWe, make sure you use your real photo. We are a teaching and conversation group and it helps to know everyone. I can answer all your questions in there. 😀 mewe.com/group/5fab2333b8d44f4a6946910e

Bravissimo come sempre 👍
Thanks so much!
You have mentioned your larger studio paintings a couple of times. Could you show us a couple of your finished studio paintings?
Thanks Troy, yes I will do that in future videos.
Thanks for your videos David. I have a question about the heritage paints. Would speeding up the drying time by using a blow dryer ruin the paint?
Yes you can use a hair dryer with them. No problem.
Very Nice

I love this! would you paint a landscape with a house/building, please.
Yes, coming next week.
Beautiful painting learned alot but kinda hard to do.
Good art takes practice. Lots of practice. 😀
How do you prep your MDF boards? I’m not sure if that’s what you are using here?
MDF or hardboard. I gave a coat of Heritage Canvas Prep, but a coat of just Titanium White will work as well. No gesso.
👍😘😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️
