    I'm inspired to go back and do the thirty days of roses which I started in February 2020 and stopped on day 3. I'm sure that I've heard this technique from you many times but today it rang a "bell" that I needed. Thanks for keeping my days full of joy.

      Awesome. Yes, you can use all those as ideas to practice this technique.

    Practice Yes, which I haven't been able to do for a long time with my work schedule, planning on changing that soon. Great to see another extremely valuable lesson of yours, along with the aesthetically pleasing painting. Thank you David

    Thanks David for your continuation of your lessons. I love how you paint and I have done several of your tutorials. I’m a retiree and always told myself when I retired I would get back into painting. I do have a question and it may be a dumb question but can you paint with other acrylic brands with Heritage paints. I don’t have all the colors you have and I will grab a color needed from another brand. Is this a big NO NO ?

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  2 года назад +1

      I would not mix acrylic brands together. 2k acrylics are very different from acrylics of the 80's and 90's. You just don't know. It is always better to stay within a brand if possible. I do not recommend mixing brands. Thanks!!

    Dear David, I used my new heritage paint today and the colours are just divine! But I am struggling with the white colour it seems too thin or wet at first brush strokes. Can you please film one clip just for brush and hand movements while paint the outer , middle and ball petals . I know it has to come with practice but I don’t want to repeat my wrong movement over and over. I have noticed you turn your brush to the edge but was too fast even though I replayed many many times still didn’t get it. Much appreciated your time and efforts trying to teach us who you never met but feels like you are part of the family.❤️

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  2 года назад +3

      Hi, Yes I can film some additional videos to help. Don't go too white too fast. I only use pure white towards the end of the rose. You can also slow down the speed of the youtube video in the settings so it is easier for you to see. Click the settings and then lower the playback speed and you can watch the petals in slow motion.

    Why is your diarylite yellow so loose. Much looser than other colors? I had gotten some and I just find it way to liquidy. (I made up that word). Thanks in advance.

      I noticed that as well. They are adjusting it. What a paint company does basically bake a cake. If one manufacturer of a component changes just a little it throws off the whole thing. So we adjust the formula. If you email the studio, they can send you some thickener to fix it. Thanks.
