DISNEY DURING THE PANDEMIC? See what the park is really like in 2021 during Covid-19

- Had an incredible trip to Disneyland / California Adventure with my friend Kati (aka the Disney Queen) last week. We went on Friday, May 21, 2021. It was definitely a unique Disney experience as the park was only at 35% capacity, the lines and rides were spread out for social distancing, you're required to wear masks at all times unless eating / drinking in a designated eating area, and the characters aren't mingling around and the displays aren't accessible.. they are behind barriers / cones to keep everyone safe. At first having the masks on pretty much 24/7 drove us crazy, but we took breaks when we could and some rides had them flying off of our faces even when we tried to keep them on. We got used to them after a while but honestly the next day I felt pretty sick.. I think it was a hangover from all the rides but also from breathing in my own air all day. Overall though, it was still such a magical experience and we had a blast. The rides all moved faster than they were advertised on the signs. People were very respectful in lines. The staff members were very friendly and helpful as always. There were hand sanitizer stations before and after every ride, they were always full, and they also had machines EVERYWHERE around the park so you could always find one when needed. No lines for the bathroom either which was super convenient. The only rides we skipped due to super long lines were Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion. I'm sure they were moving fast like the others but they were around an hour wait and that part of the park was the most packed with people, BY FAR. We got to go on the new Rise of the Resistance ride and it was TOTALLY INSANE!!!!! It truly felt like you were in a Star Wars movie.. a very immersive experience. In order to snag a spot for that one though you have to have the app downloaded and reserve a time slot ahead of time. We had a 1pm entry into Disneyland and requested a reservation exactly when the reservations opened at 12pm (noon). We were given a time slot of 5-6pm and made it just in time. Rogue one ☝️ kinda got dizzy watching u on the swing. Almost 12 hours at the park , I’d wanna take a nap immediately, but overall looks cool , fun times. Thanks for sharing

Love the video, I went to universal 1 month ago and didnt like it that much the lines where 2 hours per ride, and in the line you where super close to the people anyways and on the rides they where letting the rides all alone so that is why the wait was so long, I'll try disney next time looks better and faster, and my fav ride was also splash mountain lol it smells good like fresh water
Oh no so sorry to hear you had this experience at Universal! What a pain. It was a very smooth day at Disney.. the only frustration was the masks but that was understandable to keep people safe of course. Just once in a while a break from it was needed for fresh air lol. But they did a great job keeping people spaced out but also keeping the lines moving and making sure people were having a great day. Definitely recommend it! I think they just upped their capacity though and it will continue to increase as restrictions lessen
@@EJAdventures yes I hate the masks lol, and you even have it a little bit down around nose and workers where paranoid about it I was like come onnnnn, but in the restaurants the covid didnt exist lol, thanks for answering you are nice, some people dont even answer, what gopro do you use I love gopros

I saw one version of Mickey actually posing for photos but other than that they were all behind barriers
