The reason that Disney can now use the image of Oswald the Rabbit, sell shirts and dolls of it, etc, is because in 2006, NBC/Universal traded (yes, traded) the rights to Oswald to Disney in exchange for the Sportscaster Al Michaels (who had been working Monday Night Football games for ABC). At that point, Michaels and his on-air partner John Madden began doing Sunday Night Football games on NBC.

I love that in Disneyland Paris Oswald is SO RARE he only comes out for special (passholder) events, and there he's just chilling! Am also loving the hidden Mickey next to the radio in Oswald's shop! I don't care if it's meant to be or not, I love it xD I really love that crosswalk and what it stands for, and I agree with other comments: I want to see them wave to each other!
The only thing I'd love is if in Oswald's shop, they also wouldn't sell other merch; like I saw Minnie hats. If Oswald can't go anywhere else, at least let him have his own shop for himself!
I saw you and met you yesterday at DCA!!!
I ADORE these types of episodes! Please make more! ❤ MORE BUENA VISTA!
It's just like the DNZ!

What a fantastic episode! More Buena Vista history, please! Thank you 😊
Boycott Disney. They got caught discriminating in their hiring practices.
In what way?

@@Absaalookemensch there’s a lot of reasons why people should boycott Disney. I miss the old Disney
@@saenzperspectives All my wife's in-laws live in Orlando and used to go to Disney a few times a year. Used to, but not for the past couple years.
The Baseball Ann
ouncer sounded like....he was the same voice for THE DODGERS
Thank you so much. I wish we had someone as knowledgeable as you for Disney World.
Chris, love your videos and your style. God bless Amanda as well for assisting you in this back and forth walking. Keep it up.

Glad you enjoyed it!
More Buena Vista!! This was one of your BEST!!!
I gotta be honest, I didn't expect to make it through 2 minutes of this video. The curiosity got the better of me so I clicked it. I'm on a hard Disney boycott but history is history, and I'm a student of history, and I found this video to be absolutely fascinating. Thank you for making it.
More Buena Vista please- this was absolutely fascinating.
More Buena Vista, please. Also a huge thank you to your shout, outs, and recognition of those who cannot get out and see these things without people like you doing this. You are awesome. 🌺
He knows the Lore!!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!
Great video! More Buena Vista please. I appreciated the moment to speak directly to me. I got some bad news recently and that was encouraging. Thank you.
Loving the Disney history, and would like more please…
Thank you. Thank you for your kind words. I needed this today. That and the great Disney info.
Wow! Thank you for that. Thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history. Do that as much as you can. It's wonderful. Cheers!
More part 2 please. You also are amazing and make the world a better place, and thank you for it.
Thank you 💚💙
Thank you for the validating message. I was diagnosed with lupus in February this year, I was glad that I finally had a name to my problems, and I'm trying to be positive and okay with it, but it's still terrifying. I know that I'm not really okay, but I don't want to upset the people I care about.
The message in your video couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you.
More Buena Vista! and thanks for the moment of kindness it is so needed today
I never heard of your channel, but your message to everyone out there struggling made me an instant subscriber....great video too, I'll never forget 1927 versus 1928
This video was absolutely fascinating! And, yes, please carry on with more, please!
I just found your video today and stopped after you paused and made such kind and thoughtful words of support and encouragement to those going through a tough time. As a mental health professional, I had to jump in and say how beautiful that was to see. I provide therapy to numerous people whose mental health has been drastically impacted by their physical health. Hearing what you said might have been life changing to them in that moment. The world needs more people like you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Now, back to your video 😁
Hey Chris, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS YES PLEASE DO A PART 2!!!!! You are AMAZING AS WELL!!!!! Thank you take care
Thank you! Will do!
MORE BUENA VISTA... MORE DEEP DIVES... MORE of ALL the neat tid bits at the parks!! I had bought the "Hidden Mickey's" book @ DisneyWorld but only found maybe half at all the parks... I LOVE all the neat things/work Walt & the Imagineers put into these places!!!
Ps... Thank you for the short yet uplifting side note ... I wish I could take my kids to ANY Disney park, money & mobility stop me tho .. especially the money. I hate it.... But to hear a stranger say such a beautiful thing means something to me!!! So, thank you!! 💚💙💜🥰
I never expected a video about disneyland would hold my interest, but gee was I wrong! It was so interesting to get past all the commercialism & learn about the finer details... thank you. PS I especially appreciated your words of encouragement. Greetings from Australia 👋🦘
You've done an excellent job showing us things! Love your energy.
this is attention to details, wow! they should have tours with info like these
This was mind blowing 🤯. Thanks for sharing these awesome facts about Buena Vista Street in DCA.
This was so much fun to watch! Provost Park Pass is our favorite Disney info site. Thank you for all you do. Headed to the park for May the 4th! Maybe we'll see you there.
Haven’t been to Disneyland and never knew about Oswalt. I grew up watching Walt Disney every Sat night and later visited Disneyworld and Epcot. Loved Epcot!
More Buena Vista history, please. Amanda, I’m so jealous. My husband is a grouch and doesn’t care for Disney or anything fun for that matter.
