Looks pretty good, but I would STRONGLY advise using the leather hat instead of the straw hat. You will stick out like a sore thumb with a straw hat in MT. Also, you will have a LOT of trouble trying to keep it on your head considering how windy it typically is in MT.
I mean, please wear what ever you want and makes you comfortable, I would not care, if I stick out, you are there for the wedding from God knows were. I do not even have a cowboy hat and would have to buy one just for that wedding. However you could do vegan leather, that is very thin and breathable or felt.
as a montanan, leather for fall winter and straw for the hot months. should be a cowboy hat though. you could get away with a baseball cap and a dress shirt tucked into jeans though
The rule of thumb for western wear is ALWAYS a felt hat for a formal occasion! Straw might be okay if it were the middle of summer, but even so, stick with felt!
Straw hats are for when you're on a tractor, felt cowboy hat for everything else. Honestly, he probably should've done dark jeans on bottom and western shirt up top. @@McFatteh
As a Montanan I would recommend a very dark washed pair of jeans with a leather belt, a button down, a formal vest, cowboy boots, and a brown or black felt cowboy hat.
Based on my experience in rural Nevada this is the answer. The coat does not go with the theme at all. He will look out of place going to a wedding where everyone else is dressed like cowboys.
I am not from Montana or a cowboy, heck, I’m not even a boy, but I knew for sure this wasn’t the look for a summer wedding in Montana. No offense, but it looks like he is attending a wedding in the Hamptons, forgot his shirt and is wearing the only clean shirt he has, hoping no one will notice that it is a western shirt. 😊
Parker, thank you so much for your hard work, this stuff has really helped me dress alot more better outside of work as I work as a tradesman. Going off your simple style for casual, while adding small mix ups has done wonders for me. Thank you so much for everything.
Man I love watching your videos. Sure I’m not your target audience but as an artist, it’s been helping a shit ton with character design concepts for the men I draw because I’m consistently like “wtf do men even wear to look good
Cudos to you for giving so many people such approachable videos for fashion. Even if we don't have the seemingly limitless closet that you have, you still get the gist across.
I would def do a white button up with black suit coat no tie with blue jeans, cowboy boots, and black cowboy hat. It’s semi formal with the white button up and black suit coat but also western with the blue jeans, boots and hat!!
I love that you include so many signet style rings or just rings in general. I think rings are very unisex and they also add a touch of class to everything. Rings on a man. Just look good.
He looks like a man who doesn’t like western wear but is going to a more country wedding. Dress up would be buying a 500$ cowboy hat you hate for wedding, where everyone will know its brand new and doesn’t suit you 😂
Always clever. Honestly, pair loafers with a trash bag and you’d probably pull it off. But dawg, you need a cowboy hat… You’re looking city-slicker af with that head gear! 😂 ❤️
Unfortunately in Montana the common semi formal wedding attire is putting on your nice jeans (the ones without dirt) and whatever plaid button up works with your boots and hat
Ironically being a Texan going to Montana for the first time, no exaggeration, it was way more western style than I've ever seen at a wedding in my own state. The men all turned up in dark jeans and button down shirts, vests, boots, and hats. I felt like I was at the rodeo. Most women just wore versions of the same sundress.
Having held a semi formal western wedding in the summer of Montana, jeans are acceptable, as long as they are pressed! And jeans with a suit jacket looks amazing!
Im from Alberta, I think its CLOSE to what I would wear... but def would go with: Some nice cowboy boots. Black or dark blue Jeans with very little extra detailing A belt that matches the boots A simple, multi-coloured dress shirt- with sharp lines or square pattern. A beige, or brown, or navy blue, or even light blue, sport coat or vest. No ties, no rings, no necklace. Keep it simple. No hat either. A small watch of any colour is fine.
I prefer breezier outfits considering I live in Texas (Wide-leg fit bottoms, short sleeves, etc.) but I still love this look! You're right on the pulse with the belt too, but I would still recommend a cowboy hat so as to fit better with the crowd. Awesome tho!
A double-breasted suit with a pocket square would be considered formal in Iowa, even without a tie. lol I'm not from Montana, but I've been to a couple of weddings in Wyoming. The wedding party wore gowns & suits with ties. Older men wore suits & ties or dresses. Younger women wore casual dresses; younger men wore shirts w/ ties & slacks. A few wore sports jackets with open collars & jeans. There were even men in jeans & tees.
I love your version! As someone who is not used to the cowboy/western/rural US fashion, your version speaks to me. I love blue tones and the jeans shirt with such a beautiful, almost velvet looking, blue jacket is so satistying! Seems like the people from this area really go full cowboy, according to this comment section. That's interesting to me, I didn't think that was still so popular! I am from europe and I regarded it more as a "costume" thing, maybe for county fares or smth like that.
Yeah no, you wear jeans and a belt with a western buckle, pearl snap tucked in of course, Bolo Tie, a western style vest, Cowboy boots, and a Cowboy hat (Preferably Stetson or something similar). That’s how you outfit yourself when wearing a pearl snap. Wanna know how I know, because my closet is all western wear.
PEARL SNAP! They really drive her wild, she can't resist my country western styyyyle... got that easy open down pat... my baby loves me for my PEARL SNAP! ❤ I LOVE PEARL SNAPS TOO! followed with some nice boots. Anyway lol
As a Montanan...this is way too formal haha. Hat needs to be a cowboy hat, and ditch the denim shirt and wear white. Typically tho I would see Jeans, big belt, and a white shirt with a suit jacket, but always a cowboy hat.
Can you do a fantasy inspired royal wedding for groom . I'm often disappointed that men don't play and don't even put effort into their outfits. Especially grooms and his best men, they just put a suit on and feel like they're good to go
Love your channel but I think this is probably gonna be too formal. I’d say nice blue jeans, a simple western Pearl snap button down, and complimentary dress shoes. Great thing about rural people, jeans and a button down covers casual to formal. FYI: from Oklahoma and been to plenty of formal family events and this is what 90% of men wear.
I’ve subscribed to this guy, why? He makes me feel warm inside. And he makes me feel good. And I’m at the age when buying clothes, will it fit and how long will it last? LOVE your content. From the UK.

Nice one! I'm curious what would your most budget outfit look like. Could you do one for broke that speaks "fashion"? Love your videos, you have a very pleasant content.
As a montanan, I’ve only been to country weddings here. The men usually just wear their nice blue jeans and boots, big ole belt buckle, and a plain shirt. Even if you were to go to a nicer wedding, you’d still stick out like a sore thumb.

This is giving me Hamptons more than western. I think its the pocket square and the hat.
