Have one and love it. Has High top and everything on it works. Plain Jane but does everything well. Built to last!
I like this style over the ugly euro unibody vans.
Agreed
Just saw a 2020 model, they’re a miss mash of GM parts of the past 30 years. They still use the same door handles from the C/K era! It was cool to see!
Possibly the best driving experience I've had was in a 2003 model.
I've always like vans and those narrow Euro styles are hideous.
I have a 2010 Chevy express 2500 with 200,000 miles. Drives great, a/c still works, 4.8 engine. 15mpg. Work van.
My buddy's 2013 Chevy 2500 Express with the 4.8L just had the transmission go out at 190,000 miles. The transmission rebuild shop charged him $5000. Other than that, it's been a pretty good van.
The de facto standard for the trades! Plumbers... Sheetrock installers... Electricians... You know the drill... You get the idea.
Yep. My buddy has this van for his electrician and HVAC company.

Thank you Sir,
I want to buy for outdoor
You recommend an chevy express or cargo van?
I like the new transits but 80k for a cargo van is insane.
I recently bought a 2007 Chevy Express 3500 Ext 15 Passenger van. It is quieter - much quieter. In the process of outfitting it for wife and I to head out and check out National Parks - assuming pandemic ever ends.
@@Yob126 10 in the city and 15.5 on the highway (Going 70 to 75 mph).
When the rear seats are removed, is the floor flat without protrusion like a cargo van? Thanks
Denise and I have been looking at these, actually the GMC model. Thinking about doing the mini RV build and maybe road tripping it around the west coast for a few months.... I am guilty tho...I've been looking at the transit connect as well..lol
The AWD model is a compelling option. Transit connect would be pretty cool and good mpgs!
@@DrivenCompanion 11 months later and we went with the savana 2500 cargo van. This one has the 6.0L V8💪
@@foote1967 do you still have it? How reliable is it?
@@Sr_iRL owned one for 7 years and used to to haul rolls of carpet everyday. As long as you treat it well it will give you 300-400k miles no doubt
I thought you were in Oregon .. Just by the trees and Burn .. outside Sisters maybe ? lol
I'm trying to find a new 2022 to 2023 Chevy Express cargo Van on finding it to be very difficult. There are only a few of them out there that have the big 6.6 l V8 engine the only engine I will take in the van. Along with the locking rear end. I would really love to get an extended version van cargo but they don't make them at all from what I can find. Unless you get a people carrying van and gut it out. And pay for more..8-15K more
which models have the 120v electric outlet, thats a great feature.
the newer late model chevy vans have it
How durable are the engine and transmission from 2005,are they easy for a mechanic to work on and are parts easy to get???

did they make em in 5 spd stick? dont recall ever seeing one
Auto only
One of the last vehicles made with sealed beam headlights that you can replace without being a contortionist.
Anybody know what's the control traction on and off is for??
It allows the driver to turn the 'Stabilitrak' on and off. Stabilitrak is used for using the brakes to lock up a spinning drive wheel and send torque to the non slipping wheel.
Just bought a 2007 Chevy Express 2500 for $7000 last week. Smooth ride, however, I think it's the tires making a high pitch noise like yer on a NASCAR race track. My dog seems to be bothered by this noise.
then get new tires for it
@@aaronlane8276 Really?
@@casual454t1 I mean it might help your high pitch noise problem, but don't hold your breath because it might be something different.
@@aaronlane8276 It was the rear wheel pinion bearing and cost me $1200+. Started 2 days after purchase. Money pit. $800 brakes, $500 air bag sensor and there's more wrong. And yes, I will need new tires b4 winter. Saving my pennies.
@@casual454t1 ouch, always be prepared to do some repairs if you buy a used car I always say.
Hi it's 2023 and I am looking to buy a 2013 Exprees ext Chevy for $8000 no mechanical 162k MI
Is it a steal?

thanks Mike ... is it good for fleet delivery and high mileage?
Absolutely

They need to do it 4×4.
What do you think of the armrests being too high? I have also heard they have a lot of rattles?
All cargo vans have a lot of rattles. I wouldn't say this has more than any other brand. Didn't notice anything with armrests either but its been a while so can't say for sure.
My mom just bought one 3 days ago. The arm rests are fine.
@@icedcoldkilla Is it a cargo van or passenger?
@@DrivenCompanion I was watching another video and the guy was talking about the plastic trim pieces falling off and vents breaking. I think his is a passenger van so the interior is not bare, but still if that is pretty common on them I wouldn't buy one.
@@311hitwall cargo van
Getting one maybe a cheaper one but get the best i can afford hopefully at that price.

That be a great camper
100%. ill likely be van life'n in one next fall
I would only get one in AWD.
The contractor at my workplace has a half ton 1500 Savanah all-wheel drive van. I asked him how the 4x4 works on it. He said don't buy it. He said driving down interstate that his transfer case exploded.
Chevrolet Express launch in 1995 for with a facelift in 2003 for 2004
New Ford transits are unreliable from what I hear. When running a business reliability is more important than saving a few dollars in gas
Narsty, and not even that cheap. Camper conversions seem to favour the Euro-style vans nowadays.
its the gas it uses so much gas
My 2007 express gets 15.5 or 15.6 mpg pretty good. I do the whole TFL thing, 30 seconds for top off 😂
Only if you drive everywhere are u planning on traveling or living locally?. I thought the same thing until l remembered l was gonna live locally and not really "travel"
@@kickyourfaceandlaugh607 my 2011 gets 8.9 city and 10 Hwy... Idk y.
Tony Celestro do you carry a lot of tools in your van? That could be why like for us we had hella tools and ladders then my brother and I 😂 but we don’t really weigh that much
This vans they last longer w normal maintenance I bought mine from Gmc in the last me 425,000 mileage
The new ones have the 6l90 which loves to implode at under 100k miles. $4k+ repair.

The European vans are uuuuugly.
Its sad that the wider American vans are going away.
It's a damn shame they don't make the Econoline cargo van anymore
Had a 2001 company exspress .What a P,O,S
The European vans would be ok if they didn't only offer them with gay little engines.
