Agree here. I feel that if Heathet has her own reasons and reservations for not wanting to participate in the Telethon, then Justin doesn't have to start accusing her of Transphobia. Thinking that drag is not for children, that women's sports and spaces and prisons need to be respected doesn't make one transphobic as Justin is suggesting. After that, it all seems like a playground arguments.
Saying #bekind when one party is literally trying to erase an entire group of people is really disgusting. Grow up. She uses trans people when it suits her and calls herself an ally, but won't participate in a simple drag show? Why are YOU bringing up drag shows and children? It's a parents personal choice to bring a child to a certain event, his event didn't have anything to do with children. Like, what are you even talking about? You're a massive part of the problem that you're associating drag shows with kids. That's conservatives that are doing that. She's made some very weird, gross comments about trans people when she's covered news stories about trans folks, or made weird comments about the prison system, saying that women don't assault other women, it's only happening when trans folks are in women's prisons, when that's actually a HUGE problem in women's prisons, always has been, moreso than male on male s.assaults, etc. She could have been an adult and just shown support for a community she uses all the time, it didn't have to be controversial, trans folks aren't controversial, lies that are told about them and the losers who tell them are.

Jeff is messy, but he has a HUGE heart. He goes on the apology tour on a regular basis. He owned his missteps…and moves on. You are really missing the boat on this one. Bottom line, Heather made some huge missteps and needs to own them and move on. I am sorry to say this again, but you REALLY missed it on this one. And I love you guys…but this was a miss.

This conversation was done so wonderfully, & you could certainly tell that both Zack & Jacques come from a perspective of professionalism & career longevity. Personally, I never enjoy seeing Podcast teams, or Co-Host teams dissolve in such a way. Having worked in Radio since 2002, I've seen some variations of this, and no matter which side you take, it's always frustrating to see played out in such a way. I always say, not all "numbers" and/or "views" are good, but what the F' do I know, I'm just a dusty (albeit attractive) 43 year old w/ a Podcast lol. In any case, this topic isn't as cut and dry and some of the commenters try to make it seem, so I think it's worth mentioning how fair & compassionate this episode really was. And do we all like shady content, sure, I assume that's why we all like Reality TV, but seeing Broadcasters deal with this so publicly always feels a bit difficult in my opinion. Jacques had his points and they were all valid and Zack, you came back with some of your opinions and they were also valid. So it's okay to say let's agree to disagree. And with this whole Justin v Heather, I actually see both their sides. I do think Heather could have come out and said hey guys stop the hate. I’ve asked for that several times. I think timing can be an issue. I’m a fellow Aussie and it’s nearly 6 pm here and nearly 1am in LA hence Jacque drinking coffee and Zack wine and as this was live I think Zack was up past his bedtime - we know he goes to bed early. Jacque also sometimes works a Night Shift somewhere here in Oz. They’re both busy but they can obviously make it work if they WANT to. I’d LOVE to see them together more often. I was thinking daylight saving coming up could complicate things BUT Jacque lives in a state that DOES have daylight saving. Mine doesn’t.

They have a mutual friend called "Crista", the lady owner of the pool that Justin went and didn't invite her, that he talked about and to me she weighs in on his ears.. He had isues and I think this Crista was that friend trying to influence turning each thing worse.. Same with Jeff Lewis.. I think this people are all messy and frenemies.. even Justin and Heather..
I think Justin is completely outrageous. I remember him on a TV show ( like an entertainment tonight type ) I couldn’t stand his behavior. At times I thought he was on something; his cigarette voice was annoying too Heather had no obligation to attend his drag gig. She’s a busy lady with kids & a family and a busy career. I think he was holding on to resentment ever since the trans fundraiser since that's what was heavily focused on or at least that's when he disclosed wanting to distance himself from her/ questioning her character entirely. But I don't think she was ever made aware how insulted he was by her lack of involvement. He spoke very passively about it but clearly began harnessing some anger/resentment against her before the film quip. Also using her injury when she fainted to garner more sympathy was in bad taste I think. Like describing a bit of a tit for tat sort of friendship which shows a lack of genuinity imo
Zack, you missed on this one. Justin felt she didn’t have his back…he asked her to call her Juicy Scoopers off, to let them know he didn’t know what the movie was about. She REFUSED. Bottom line there are lots of bits and pieces but bottom line he didn’t feel supported. She said he was an “occasional guest” HE was not heir over 30 times, that isn’t occasional! She lie to the world, as she DID call Jeff Lewis and did say she didn’t want him on his show. Yes, there is a lot of little bits and pieces that happened….but bottom line SHE didn’t SUPPORT him the way he felt he needed supporting.
So because she didn't support him in the way he wanted, he should walk around bad mouthing her and slandering her? NO. He is a child that needs to grow up.

That's a good point. You need to guide your audience. Otherwise they guide you. I feel HM was fairly scared to be more assertive in that regard because of the Chelsea situation. It took at least 10 years for her to come back from this. Now things are different and podcasting is more of a business thing, but really before it wasn't and she really suffered from that (compared to newcomers in the business). My point is she kinda needs to adapt a little bit, but let's give her some grace because she really comes from another world in podcasting (and without industry support).
I found out who Justin Martindale was because of Heather. Her podcast has blown up even more over the years and i discovered her and you Zack on RUclips. Nobody forced Justin to do these episodes for free all of these years. They are free promotion and thats why he continued to do them, for the exposure which really helped him for his now podcast and to create a bigger fanbase. I seriously do not like that he aired their dirty laundry like that. Its like he really wants people to hurt her the way that he was hurt. Hurt people...hurt people. Heather can't control everything that people say about Justin but i do think she should have defended him at some point. Maybe there is way more we dont know about and its really not our business, but i still love the drama..so im here for the tea 😂
The pool party issue was months ago, HM and Justin talked about it on her show. They actually laughed about it. She was digging at him for not calling her and he laughed and said it was a impromptu get together, no shade..

The payment issue bothers me because Heather is misleading people to believe she has comedians on as guests. They are not. Guests promote themselves, their projects, and the show is centered around them. Heather has comedians on as co-hosts and they are expected to work, which they do by providing her support on pop culture topics. Anyone who consistently watches the show knows Heather habitually forgets names and lacks knowledge of pop culture topics she is discussing. The co-hosts are there to pickup her slack when she screws up or needs additional input on a topic. So if they are there to work, they deserve to get paid - period.
Jeff is a radio host so we can’t expect podcasters to pay for their regular cohosts … HOWEVER… JM shouldn’t feel emotionally or physically limited by Heather/tied or feel obligated to turn down PAID work/ more exposure as a radio guest because Heather wants him him to herself… unpaid.
On Juicy Scoop, I've heard her say that she is a sorority girl, and she does not think that trans girls deserve the sorority experience. Heather brought the movie up when Justin was on. He had no idea what the movie was about and he made a silly comment. Justin's point was of Heather's gaslighting, and it appears to be working on some. ❤
It wasn’t even a comment ABOUT the movie. Justin had no idea what SOF was. Heather told him and he said something like ‘it’s a bit early in the morning for child trafficking’. That was the extent of his comment. From that comment, Justin was hit with ‘groomer’ , ‘pedo’ and a slew of other ignorant comments that have historically been levelled at gay men. He asked Heather to address her fans about this hate speech and Heather told him to ignore it, she can’t control the trolls AND she had no idea. Lie number 1. Heather absolutely’liked’ negative comments about JM on her socials. The receipts exist. Number 2, she’s been caught lying about how she never blocked JM from appearing on Jeff Lewis Live. Jeff himself set the record straight on that yesterday. Heather is NOT an ally. She’ll do self serving appearances, and sure, she’ll have ANYONE on JS if she thinks it’ll lift her numbers. You guys don’t seem to have been listening. Some of us have been JS listeners for upwards of 7 years. Heather has absolutely started inserting herself into ‘political’ topics, especially around trans issues. She’s been ignorant and hurtful long before the JM drama started. She’ll always have a token white gay male performer in her friend group but that doesn’t make her an ally. What makes an ally is someone who has the power to address hate speech against the LGBTQI+ community and uses that power to address and stop the hate speech. Jeff Lewis pays ppl out of his own pocket, it's not Serious XM always. Just wanted to clarify that one point that he's said b4 he is not always reimbursed for it but he does pay. I think it definitely happened. Because it makes sense from her perspective. Would I be annoyed like Heather if I was in her position? Absolutely. But would I have handled it more delicately and known better than to express my true feelings (knowing I was self serving and being unfair to Justin by asking Jeff to turn him down). Yes. Would I also trust Jeff to keep my private conversation with him to himself? Absolutely not.

Heather has every right to decline making a public statement (PSA) of support for a political cause and she doesn’t have to justify or defend that - it’s called freedom. That Justin appears to be trying to destroy Heather’s livelihood with very incendiary accusations that she is transphobic is pretty deliberately vicious and foul, considering that she has allowed him to plug his own support for these same organizations on her show. That said, if she is gatekeeping his appearances on other platforms, he has a legit beef in that respect. I know Justin has been a very popular guest on her show, he was never my cup of tea TBH so he’s not going to be losing my support, since he never had it. I do have my favorites of Heather’s ‘regulars’ (Julie & Brandy, Spencer Pratt, Chris Franjola) some of whom I actually like more than I do Heather! Lol. Jokes aside, I enjoy that Heather mocks her own faults and my biggest complaint about her is that she sometimes overtalks her guests to an obnoxious degree (her recent ‘interview’ with Carole Radziwell was a disaster IMO). Then I was watching you both (this was about a year before your tour) but I unsubscribed from Adam because the Housewives he was dragging were the same ones his & others fans were dragging so my impression at the time was HE was pandering to his audience. I left that comment to explain why I was unsubscribing- the polite thing to do I thought although I don’t think content creators take much notice beyond the few top comments whereas I look at the Newest comments too. You can learn A LOT from comments sections. THEN someone left me a comment saying that Adam wants his own talk show which is why he panders to the opinions of his subscribers 🤷🏽♀️. Zack would know whether that’s true or not. I continued watching YOU, Zack because you seemed to be fair by looking at both sides of a situation which I much preferred. Heather is very territorial and has said she gets hurt when she was the initial mutual friend, and then left out of events down the line. This is business, she should not keep someone all to herself. I am a big fan of HM. That being said, she often rubs me the wrong way, but thats fine because no ones perfect and i love her show.
The fact that people are so quick to label someone bigoted or phobic for certain things that, simply stated, are disagreeing views is very problematic. The fact that people are so quick to jump behind that narrative is also problematic. It really does take away from the seriousness of the issues when EVERYONE is labeled. I really appreciated this episode. ❤ Be kind, people.
Agree here. I feel that if Heathet has her own reasons and reservations for not wanting to participate in the Telethon, then Justin doesn't have to start accusing her of Transphobia. Thinking that drag is not for children, that women's sports and spaces and prisons need to be respected doesn't make one transphobic as Justin is suggesting. After that, it all seems like a playground arguments.

Saying #bekind when one party is literally trying to erase an entire group of people is really disgusting. Grow up. She uses trans people when it suits her and calls herself an ally, but won't participate in a simple drag show? Why are YOU bringing up drag shows and children? It's a parents personal choice to bring a child to a certain event, his event didn't have anything to do with children. Like, what are you even talking about? You're a massive part of the problem that you're associating drag shows with kids. That's conservatives that are doing that. She's made some very weird, gross comments about trans people when she's covered news stories about trans folks, or made weird comments about the prison system, saying that women don't assault other women, it's only happening when trans folks are in women's prisons, when that's actually a HUGE problem in women's prisons, always has been, moreso than male on male s.assaults, etc. She could have been an adult and just shown support for a community she uses all the time, it didn't have to be controversial, trans folks aren't controversial, lies that are told about them and the losers who tell them are.
She never said she was against the trans community. She's just not going to promote drag shows for kids. She's right. Should we have burlesque shows for kids??? We all love drag shows...it's adult entertainment

Jeff is messy, but he has a HUGE heart. He goes on the apology tour on a regular basis. He owned his missteps…and moves on. You are really missing the boat on this one. Bottom line, Heather made some huge missteps and needs to own them and move on. I am sorry to say this again, but you REALLY missed it on this one. And I love you guys…but this was a miss.

This conversation was done so wonderfully, & you could certainly tell that both Zack & Jacques come from a perspective of professionalism & career longevity. Personally, I never enjoy seeing Podcast teams, or Co-Host teams dissolve in such a way. Having worked in Radio since 2002, I've seen some variations of this, and no matter which side you take, it's always frustrating to see played out in such a way. I always say, not all "numbers" and/or "views" are good, but what the F' do I know, I'm just a dusty (albeit attractive) 43 year old w/ a Podcast lol. In any case, this topic isn't as cut and dry and some of the commenters try to make it seem, so I think it's worth mentioning how fair & compassionate this episode really was. And do we all like shady content, sure, I assume that's why we all like Reality TV, but seeing Broadcasters deal with this so publicly always feels a bit difficult in my opinion. Jacques had his points and they were all valid and Zack, you came back with some of your opinions and they were also valid. So it's okay to say let's agree to disagree. And with this whole Justin v Heather, I actually see both their sides. I do think Heather could have come out and said hey guys stop the hate. But I also think Justin has gone vicious and I don't like that. The thing I find funny is people support Jeff and saying, look at Heather falling out with Meghan and now Justin and if that's you, like THAT's the example you're going to use to support Jeff?? I’ve asked for that several times. I think timing can be an issue. I’m a fellow Aussie and it’s nearly 6 pm here and nearly 1am in LA hence Jacque drinking coffee and Zack wine and as this was live I think Zack was up past his bedtime - we know he goes to bed early.
Jacque also sometimes works a Night Shift somewhere here in Oz.
They’re both busy but they can obviously make it work if they WANT to.
I’d LOVE to see them together more often.
I was thinking daylight saving coming up could complicate things BUT Jacque lives in a state that DOES have daylight saving. Mine doesn’t.

They have a mutual friend called "Crista", the lady owner of the pool that Justin went and didn't invite her, that he talked about and to me she weighs in on his ears.. He had isues and I think this Crista was that friend trying to influence turning each thing worse.. Same with Jeff Lewis.. I think this people are all messy and frenemies.. even Justin and Heather..

I think he was holding on to resentment ever since the trans fundraiser since that's what was heavily focused on or at least that's when he disclosed wanting to distance himself from her/ questioning her character entirely. But I don't think she was ever made aware how insulted he was by her lack of involvement. He spoke very passively about it but clearly began harnessing some anger/resentment against her before the film quip.
Also using her injury when she fainted to garner more sympathy was in bad taste I think. Like describing a bit of a tit for tat sort of friendship which shows a lack of genuinity imo
Zack, you missed on this one. Justin felt she didn’t have his back…he asked her to call her Juicy Scoopers off, to let them know he didn’t know what the movie was about. She REFUSED. Bottom line there are lots of bits and pieces but bottom line he didn’t feel supported. She said he was an “occasional guest” HE was not heir over 30 times, that isn’t occasional! She lie to the world, as she DID call Jeff Lewis and did say she didn’t want him on his show. Yes, there is a lot of little bits and pieces that happened….but bottom line SHE didn’t SUPPORT him the way he felt he needed supporting.

That's a good point. You need to guide your audience. Otherwise they guide you. I feel HM was fairly scared to be more assertive in that regard because of the Chelsea situation. It took at least 10 years for her to come back from this. Now things are different and podcasting is more of a business thing, but really before it wasn't and she really suffered from that (compared to newcomers in the business). My point is she kinda needs to adapt a little bit, but let's give her some grace because she really comes from another world in podcasting (and without industry support).

I found out who Justin Martindale was because of Heather. Her podcast has blown up even more over the years and i discovered her and you Zack on RUclips. Nobody forced Justin to do these episodes for free all of these years. They are free promotion and thats why he continued to do them, for the exposure which really helped him for his now podcast and to create a bigger fanbase. I seriously do not like that he aired their dirty laundry like that. Its like he really wants people to hurt her the way that he was hurt. Hurt people...hurt people. Heather can't control everything that people say about Justin but i do think she should have defended him at some point. Maybe there is way more we dont know about and its really not our business, but i still love the drama..so im here for the tea 😂

The payment issue bothers me because Heather is misleading people to believe she has comedians on as guests. They are not. Guests promote themselves, their projects, and the show is centered around them. Heather has comedians on as co-hosts and they are expected to work, which they do by providing her support on pop culture topics. Anyone who consistently watches the show knows Heather habitually forgets names and lacks knowledge of pop culture topics she is discussing. The co-hosts are there to pickup her slack when she screws up or needs additional input on a topic. So if they are there to work, they deserve to get paid - period.
Jeff is a radio host so we can’t expect podcasters to pay for their regular cohosts … HOWEVER… JM shouldn’t feel emotionally or physically limited by Heather/tied or feel obligated to turn down PAID work/ more exposure as a radio guest because Heather wants him him to herself… unpaid.
She doesn’t have a gun to anybody’s head. Justine has free will. If he’s not happy going then he doesn’t have too

On Juicy Scoop, I've heard her say that she is a sorority girl, and she does not think that trans girls deserve the sorority experience.
Heather brought the movie up when Justin was on. He had no idea what the movie was about and he made a silly comment.
Justin's point was of Heather's gaslighting, and it appears to be working on some.

It wasn’t even a comment ABOUT the movie. Justin had no idea what SOF was. Heather told him and he said something like ‘it’s a bit early in the morning for child trafficking’. That was the extent of his comment. From that comment, Justin was hit with ‘groomer’ , ‘pedo’ and a slew of other ignorant comments that have historically been levelled at gay men. He asked Heather to address her fans about this hate speech and Heather told him to ignore it, she can’t control the trolls AND she had no idea. Lie number 1. Heather absolutely’liked’ negative comments about JM on her socials. The receipts exist. Number 2, she’s been caught lying about how she never blocked JM from appearing on Jeff Lewis Live. Jeff himself set the record straight on that yesterday.
Heather is NOT an ally. She’ll do self serving appearances, and sure, she’ll have ANYONE on JS if she thinks it’ll lift her numbers.
You guys don’t seem to have been listening. Some of us have been JS listeners for upwards of 7 years. Heather has absolutely started inserting herself into ‘political’ topics, especially around trans issues. She’s been ignorant and hurtful long before the JM drama started. She’ll always have a token white gay male performer in her friend group but that doesn’t make her an ally. What makes an ally is someone who has the power to address hate speech against the LGBTQI+ community and uses that power to address and stop the hate speech. Jeff Lewis pays ppl out of his own pocket, it's not Serious XM always. Just wanted to clarify that one point that he's said b4 he is not always reimbursed for it but he does pay. I think it definitely happened. Because it makes sense from her perspective. Would I be annoyed like Heather if I was in her position? Absolutely. But would I have handled it more delicately and known better than to express my true feelings (knowing I was self serving and being unfair to Justin by asking Jeff to turn him down). Yes.
Would I also trust Jeff to keep my private conversation with him to himself? Absolutely not.

Heather has every right to decline making a public statement (PSA) of support for a political cause and she doesn’t have to justify or defend that - it’s called freedom. That Justin appears to be trying to destroy Heather’s livelihood with very incendiary accusations that she is transphobic is pretty deliberately vicious and foul, considering that she has allowed him to plug his own support for these same organizations on her show. That said, if she is gatekeeping his appearances on other platforms, he has a legit beef in that respect. I know Justin has been a very popular guest on her show, he was never my cup of tea TBH so he’s not going to be losing my support, since he never had it. I do have my favorites of Heather’s ‘regulars’ (Julie & Brandy, Spencer Pratt, Chris Franjola) some of whom I actually like more than I do Heather! Lol. Jokes aside, I enjoy that Heather mocks her own faults and my biggest complaint about her is that she sometimes overtalks her guests to an obnoxious degree (her recent ‘interview’ with Carole Radziwell was a disaster IMO). Then I was watching you both (this was about a year before your tour) but I unsubscribed from Adam because the Housewives he was dragging were the same ones his & others fans were dragging so my impression at the time was HE was pandering to his audience.
I left that comment to explain why I was unsubscribing- the polite thing to do I thought although I don’t think content creators take much notice beyond the few top comments whereas I look at the Newest comments too.

HEATHER IS not that deep she is surface and you can tell she always needed to fit in in college etc Shes from CA and she never made it as big as she wanted to be and feels like because she is from there she feels like she was overlooked a lot. she has a solid thing going with her podcast etc shes content and she not ever purposely trying to be caddy but she is caddy. and she naïve very much so. she sounds uninformed more often than not . i used to not like her at all but she actually grew on me and im a straight conservative woman who could care less who you love as long as they arent kids which isnt a lgbtq+ thing its a world issue . but i wouldnt consider heather anything but far left ... i love chris and spencer justin has acted irritated with her for a long time and jeff lewis is like a tornado just saying . appreciate everyone for who they are... i would have deleted the comments and not thought twice about it

Jesus, Jacques, he were terribly misinformed about the relevance of the degree of the hate Justin was getting....When you have 9 out 10 Patreon people her supporters telling her she is falling short in not standing up to the hate speech there is an issue. Her fans including me rallied all around heather when she cried on air over the last feud. Days later she was back in the house with the hideous hosts who watched her get beaten up and traveling with them soon after. She needs new friends with less drama or maybe she’s the problem. Either way, the whole thing was so gross, confusing, and offputting I unsubscribed and haven’t watched since. Too c list behavior for me to sit and watch.

Good show! As a longtime gay Juicy Scooper I can say Heather has really become more openly conservative since Covid and her income has increased. Love her show but sad about the way she is sometimes. Justin went low but he was really hurt.

Heather is very territorial and has said she gets hurt when she was the initial mutual friend, and then left out of events down the line. This is business, she should not keep someone all to herself. That is how Heather is- in her own words, I know because I was a longtime listener- but then I realized she was a low self esteem mean girl. She creates drama for drama’s sake and that gets old.
