Hello Elaine - thanks for reaching out. Atomstack sent me the laser at no cost, but they did not sponsor the video and they had no editorial control over the content. Everything I covered is 100% my experience, thoughts, and opinions -- nothing is sugar coated or inflated. You can review the terms and conditions that every company has to agree to prior to a review if you would like: crgmakes.com/reviews/. There are a lot machines on the market right now in this price range and capability suite, but I think the Atomstack is still a good value. I hope this helps in your decision making process. Thanks for watching!
Hi Robert -- your 'S- value max' should match what ever is set in your controller. You can use $$ in the console window (when connected to your machine) to see the value. But mine is set to 1000. Hope this helps!
I've certainly found this laser to be far more powerful than my 5w Ortur. You might want to check with the manufacturer to see if there is a hardware problem with your laser.
@@cyberreefguru it was the S setting this laser is super powerful..cuts 3mm @600, canvas work went from 3k to 7k and NWT went from 600 black to a whopping 4k black
The machine comes with a piece of acrylic that sets the proper distance from the material. You put the acrylic under the laser head, lower the head until it makes contact, and tighten the thumb screw. Hope that helps -- thanks for watching!
I just ordered one of these, and your video was already, and will continue to be, very handy. Thank you!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Excellent, thanks for the thorough review.
Thanks for watching Robert!
Good video. You from PA or happen to be a Clarks fan out of state? 👍
Originally from PA - been listening to them since the 80's :) Thanks for watching!
Did you try a smaller project? to test finer engraving?
Hello Mike - I have done many projects on this machine, but not a ton of engravings. That might change soon, so stand by :). Thanks for watching!
Are you sponsored by Atomstack or is this an honest review? We want to purchase one...but need an HONEST review thank you

Can i setings Z axis?.. I will cuting hard wood 14mm.. Is this possible with this laser cutter?
You can manually adjust the Z height. It may cut 14mm with a lot of passes and likely a lot of charing. Thanks for watching!
I see you are using a Mac computer, I have a Mac but when I go to download the website, it says it’s not compatible with Mac. Any advice.
I use Lightburn, which is cross compatible. It does cost some extra money, but totally worth it in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
I can’t seem to get the fire button to work with my atomstack it’s enabled set to 25% any sugggedtions?
Are you using Lightburn? Did you enable it in preferences?
Why are there so many atomstack websites (stores) ?
Great question, to which I don't have an answer. Amazon always works :)
Had to utube assembly
Good to know -- thanks for watching!
My AS10 seems under powered..I looked in lightburn settings and S value is 255..isnt it supposed to be 1000?

@@robertarmstrong2323 That is great news Robert -- I'm glad you got it fixed and are rocking it!
How do you set the height for the laser module?
