This is a new kind of video that I wanted to do for a while, and I was inspired by a lot of "song/scene without music" videos that highlight some sound effects which are otherwise unnoticeable in films. I found it interesting that a lot of animation sequences are rhythmically based on accompanying music, even though the music itself is usually a narrative element that doesn’t actually exist in these fictional contexts (outside of 4th-wall references). I love the original arrangements and production of soundtrack songs, but this is just my reimagining of the song that incorporates the scene's actions and environments, so I tried to make it more "glassy" and "crystalline." It was BEAUTIFUL to watch and listen with the original film scene playing (especially in 4K), but unfortunately the video would be blocked unless I changed the visuals :( but hopefully I can upload the original after some time. Side note: I also reccomend for folks to listen to the cover of this in Sámi: "Čájet mat" by Marianne Pentha, in the album Jikŋon II (in which all the songs of the film are sung in their Sámi versions and you can show support for the Indigenous artists in the album and help promote language revitalization! "Amas mu vuordá" is my favorite version of Into the Unknown).

The melody she sings is also the dies irae, which is catholic song sung during funerals. So yes, quite haunting in an almost literal sense.
the echoes makes it look like she's in a cave in real life plus everything else fits so well that I'm surprised Disney never thought of this version to be better for the movie, it makes it all more magical! awe

When people watch the movie, they generally don’t have surround sound so it would’ve sounded weird. I wish movie theaters had this kind of surround sound tho

because they never give the production crew more time to work :(
both the frozen movies were basically on crunch time all the time so they couldnt add those special touches to make the movies feel just a bit more real. the merchendise release or the summer holiday release take priority over making sure the product is good and you can see it in most of the movies they've made these days

@@jojoslameerrand9305 Adding some sound effects wouldn't be so hard. They have an entire department for adding sound effects. That's how they get all the rock and water sounds in. Adding some echos wouldn't be so difficult. In fact, it would be pretty simple.

Quarantine has been hard for everyone, but people in the arts and theatre community seem to have been pushed aside because people view it as a 'hobby' or just a 'fun little side gig' but no, performance is our lives. We watch, perform and listen to each other and theatre and other art forms have become a part of our identity. Taking away something like that, it's heartbreaking and makes all sense of purpose and happiness no longer be a part of our lives. Sure, you can zoom call auditions and workshops and record things from home. But nothing will ever really give you that spark back. I closed my eyes listening to this and imagined a theatre, sitting a few rows back from the front watching and listening to the magic. This gave me the feeling of happiness I have gone months and MONTHS without. You have made my week. I'm sitting here in tears. I can't describe how thankful I am towards you. I don't know if you will ever truly know how much this meant to me. THANK you. You brought back that spark, even if it just was for a few minutes, and you encouraged me to keep fighting through this tough time. I didn't have that before, I was struggling to see a way out.

I actually prefer the Frozen 2 track to the original Frozen track. Both are good, but the newer ones feel more... Broadway, if that makes any sense. I love it so much.
Comparing things allows you to see them in new and broader ways. And having a preference for one thing over another doesn't necessarily mean you think the other is bad, it's just a matter of personal taste

I agreed for a while and then I listened to her live performances. Her voice is very unstable out of the studios. It is a pity because it is very powerful, rich and versatile. I like its amazing colour, both juvenile and strong.
I pity the people who haven’t heard this yet, but I’m also jealous because they get to have the experience of listening to this for the first time.🥺 we’ve all heard the instrumental and some of us have already heard the version with no music at all, but this right here-is a perfect balance of the two.

As a nearly lifelong misfit (from preschool to now) and an adult recovering from growing up with an emotionally abusive father, this song reminds me of myself. During and after finally putting a stop on trying to fit in and being the quiet doormat my dad taught me to be, I've learned so much about myself--the kind of person I had become and the kind of person I was supposed to be long ago--and and growing into who I'm supposed to be now. Within the past almost 2 years, I believe I've come a long way. I'm not done yet, and I can't wait to see what all will happen in my journey of rediscovery.
Not to mention this scene is beautiful, I seriously cry almost every time I watch it.

this is hands down one of my favorite disney songs ever. the first time I saw this scene in the theatre I literally got goosebumps, and the "where the north wind meets the sea" still makes me cry. this scene is just so beautiful and powerful I wish I could watch it for the first time again
