Gamma is very similar to brightness. but its akin to Contrast. Lowering this will basically make the contrast deeper. So in a way, you can control Contrast with Gamma by going down instead of up
Well it really depends. If you are playing on a monitor or tv with a 1 or 2ms response time on game mode. Then you will have to sacrifice your response time for color and brightness
