Have you looked into feeding the burner from both tanks with a tee connection to the line? Then just switch while firing without having to swap tanks out.You could have a continuous feed and empty the first tank more efficiently. A friend of mine set up a system like that too help keep the line from icing up for raku firing. Food for thought. I like the idea of converting an electric kiln to gas... seems it would be a cheaper alternative than rewiring my garage.

What about other fuel sources? Like coal and or waste oil?
Please answer me, when I fire the mugs, is the glaze result appears like the color in the electric oven?
