  • Oohgie the Honorary Dwarf, and Crafty-smith of the Forge is a D&D Greentext Story about the best Ogre Dwarf in the land. Sometimes people mistakenly call it Oogie the Honorary Dwarf, but Moradin would not be pleased for misspelling his best Ogre Dwarf disciple.

@@lootgoblinmarketplace we had an npc we called Hopper that fell off an ice tower in a storm giants castle on our wild surging Sorcerer. hopper was shocked when the puddle that was the Sorcerer reformed back into the form that she was weapon and all. we had been hid in the Orgers dorm for 3 nights by Hopper as we earned the respect of the storm Giant. by getting dragon cultists and a white Dragon out of his Castle .

I just started DMing, and I strive for moments like these. The seemingly not important charaters or plots that turn out to be the lifeblood the campaign. Something that you always look back on and think fondly of. This truly is an inspiration to do better and share these great moments with my friends.

This was just such an endearing story. I don't have any other way to put it and it's hard to type with tears in my eyes. Oohgie is the best crafty-smith ever in all the lands, I am sure of it. Also shoutout to the DM! He turned what was supposed to be this very minor side character into something larger than life and brought not only the players, but also everyone else to tears. And even if Oohgie's final dialogue wasn't word for word accurate, it's what the players remembered and it's told by how they felt. And judging by how many teary eyed comments I can see, we only felt a fraction of the emotions. The DM did a fantastic job. A great sendoff to a beloved character with a very happy ending.
Man, I love this story. Bless Oohgie.

What the hell. I don’t cry. Period. I have not cried in about eight years. But here I am, listening to this before I take a shower, nose running, and eyes burning. I’m serious, I do not cry. I didn’t cry when my cat died, I didn’t cry when I watched the superhero I’ve loved since I was nine say his last words, I. Do. Not. Cry. But this is what got me? Damn you Oohgie. You really are the greatest dwarf.

I am in a campaign and I play a wood elf barbarian, his name is Thorin Fireforge. He, as his name may suggest, was raised by his two Dwarf moms in a village of entirely hill dwarfs, except Thorin of course. He learned to fight from the village blacksmith, his Mom is a miner, and taught Thorin practical life skills. His mother though taught Thorin how to farm, and manors, and to the best of her abilities the elven language. So Thorin is essentially a tall tan dwarf barbarian as just by looking at him npc’s tend to notice he is very dwarven and can’t really speak elven. He recently rescued one of the Blacksmiths that originally taught him to fight Gab as he was nicknamed for his ability to talk, so his mouth and vocal cords were destroyed by his captors which utterly broke Thorin when he saw Gab. Thorin had left Gab at the base we have so that we can get back stolen things and such, any way on the wall Gab draws two dwarf symbols on the wall but one of them had noticeable long pointy ears. That is how Thorin knew he was wrong when he thought he would never be a real dwarf. What makes this better is that the goddess Thorin believes in and sent him on his adventure is also the goddess our war priest dwarf believes in so we go around trying to convert people into our faith of Hela Brightaxe
