They said my design would be too difficult to build... 🤷 Even called it "abusive" to developers...

    Thanks for the clear and informative explanation. You addressed many of the issues raised, including mine, and also showed the nice builder you're using, which I will study.
    However, I didn't think the design was difficult. I have been building sites for over a decade, and it's easy when the design is yours.
    My issue was actually with designers who forget about the mobile version, leaving you to struggle with the mobile adaptation of their design. This often leads to back and forth and time wasted. Sometimes I feel like I need to be not just the builder/programmer but also do the designer's job when it comes to different screens and mobile optimization.
    It gets worse when the client or the designer is OCD (true story).
    Anyway, thanks for the video!

      Yeah, I hear ya. I have the advantage of doing design AND development. I've had those nightmares when other designers send me work too 😅. It's unfortunate not all designers realize that the web is squishy and not percise.

    Hi Kyle, I learned something. I got the offset borders working with CSS and they look great. Thank you for this amazing tutorial!

    I work for a company where the design team hands me the desktop versions of the designs, and it's up to me to build them out and adapt on the fly for mobile. They certainly put me through my paces some projects - your layout in the other video would be on the easy side of what I do 😆

    Awesome video! This is something i was looking for since regular background colors like egg shell white seem a little to boring and doesnt provide much depth

    You’re a really good designer and storyteller for your RUclips videos so I’m surprised you didn’t have more subscribers.
    It may be your thumbnails and video titles actually (the first click and the hook are the most important). Or there is a RUclips setting that may be holding you back.

    Thanks Kyle. As a Bricks user I appreciate you showing how to do this regardless of the builder we use.
    How did you create the color fade effect in the header and footer CTA section? I like how they tie the brand colors in.

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  3 месяца назад

      I did a section with a solid background color.
      I add a background image set to "contain" and positioned it to the center right.
      I then added a pseudo-element the same size of the image (using aspect ratio) and gave it a background color of a gradient that fades from the background color of the section to transparent and sits on top of the image.
      Does that make sense?

    Really good video, as always! Would you tell us which clamp function you use to determine the padding for the Hero section?

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  3 месяца назад

      I have a clamp function I use as a default on all my sections, but you'll need to use whatever matches your design. Here's what I use:
      clamp(1rem, 0.848rem + 0.758vw, 1.5rem)

    Wow. How un-self-aware do you have to be to publicly state that you are not skilled enough to do something? Folks are trying so hard to pretend to know their stuff yet they go out of their way to complain about something and reveal their limitations in the process.
