The sum total of the report is that in Muslim countries the majority has further increased and in non- Muslim countries the minorities have increased. Period.
Majority of Muslim countries are extremely poor with bad to no governance. Poverty and bad infrastructure leads to women producing more children and prosperity and individual liberty (of women) means less children. Also, he already mentioned that those muslim countries that are rich don't give citizenship to anyone, including their Muslim Ummah from other countries. Clearly, Arabs are not interested in increasing their population but keeping their culture alive by keeping foreigners away while fully utilising the cheap labour force for prosperity.

That's why there is no hue and cry when census is not conducted on time. This side didn't want to make it public because they fear other side would smell strength in their numbers and strategize. And the other side didn't want to make it public because they didn't want to alarm the majority before they are prepared to wage gazwa-e-hind because they want to bide their time.

Gupta, you are a tool, while tools are extremely useful, you can talk for yourself. Prof Ravi in multiple interviews very specifically mentioned that this is NOT explained SOLELY By TFR (fertility rate). She said we had to do more analysis to find out what the drivers are for the decline in Hindu population and 43% increase in Muslim population in the same period. She pointed out very clearly that the decline of minority population in our neighborhood including Pakistan is ALARMING. stop the narrative peddling. The point is that at this rate, we will be Pakistan, BD or other countries in the neighborhood in about 150 years or so, where minorities had to flee for their lives. Hindus of India will be in that category. No amount of sophistry or data torture or "secular" appeasement is going to hide that trend. The fact it took 20-30 yrs after the 50 yr mark for someone to assemble the trends is telling.

The problem is not that hindu population is decreasing but that Muslim population is increasing.And historically the moment Muslims become more than 30 percent they start their political bs and want sharia law . The difference is the western countries don't have large portion of just one minority as we have in India. They bring in talented people from all around the world which has lead to the development of those countries, not just because minority population is increasing but because of the talent they bring in. So blindly saying increase in minority population is good for the country is incorrect. In india We need policies to curb cast system first for better integration of large part of the society, focus on agriculture, science and technology.

Very true. For example in USA, Christian population is about 75% of the population and atheists with Christian background account for about 18% of the population and that makes total of 93%. Non-Christian minorities only account for about 7% of the US population. And this is the same story in all the Western countries. So SG should stop misleading and should compare apples to apples.

The question is, why only one minority saw such an exponential increase? And why such a radical change in proportion by one group? Before partion Muslim's population share in India was around 18.5%, after partition it went down to 9%, after 75years again their share goes upto 17%, Muslims are back to their pre-partition share which is probably around 17% -18%(the current population data yet to be released).
This such an alarming news for the Nation which has seen brutal partition because of that particular so-called minority🇵🇰.

Obviously declining population (in absolutes not %) would mean exodus or genocide and that's bad, but increase in the % would indicate in countries like India that social and economic indicators were not improving as well for these minorities. How can that be a good thing? And regarding increased share due to immigration, that is also imo not a long term good. Most crime and social statistics in these countries show that multiculturalism has failed and while it leads to increase in indicators like GDP, its misleading as there's actually decrease in per capita indicators and wages especially with the low skilled worker as its their jobs that go to the low skilled immigrants that out compete them with lower wages. As for the supposed benefits of multiculturalism, a small minority of assimilated immigrants would give you things like a Chinese restaurant while unrestricted immigration will give you entire China towns in the middle of your cities which I don't believe is good for any country. Why can't the same happen in India. Quoting statistics when it helps your narrative and totally ignoring stats when it does not. Approx 70000 children are born in India every day. Of these, 35000 are Muslim children and Around 30000 are Hindus children & balance of other religions. The reduction in percentage of Hindus in India is actually higher because this report while recognising the fact, does not mathematically evaluate the Hindu immigration from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan and Srilanka during the period.

Shekar seems to be a great advocate for Bangladesh. Bangladesh Hindu population according to their 2013 census was ~8.9% and according to 2022 census it is ~7.7%. And you clearly stated the majority population in Bangladesh saw no decline. The difference in Hindu population between the two census numbers is ~20 lakhs, and we haven't got 20 lakh Hindu migrant applications from Bangladesh. Why qualify the Hindu population decline with reasons unbacked by data?

Considering this statement as right, the percentage of Hindu population should have increased.
