its funny because I JUST told a friend today that I was so jealous of them when she said she had never heard of Dimash before and she was about to watch him sing SOS. perhaps I was a little over dramatic ("YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!!!" lol) but she definitely had that mind blown look when she was done and that fresh hunger to hear more like we all did.
Yep, that's why everyone loves watching reactions to it. It's the next best thing. I've watched like 20 first reactions to SOS. The more intense and genuine the reaction the better. This one is fantastic.
I'd be embarrassed to even estimate how many Dimash reaction videos I've watched in the past month or so. I keep coming back to this one. It's my absolute favourite. I'm sad you never made any more. I'd have loved to have seen how you reacted to Opera 2, Diva Dance, Sinful Passion and Ogni Pietra.
she s just an empty laguage of theory. she doesnt understand a think about art..you can see this by her leastening dimash with one ear..thats sacrilege
What would make this reaction better is if Mz Smith wouldn't stop the video every time Dimash did something amazing. He is an amazing singer so there were WAYYY too many times she interrupted when it got really good.
@@ntuniversal see how in the beginning she switched from the right ear to the left ear, that''s because the right ear is more efficient in hearing a speech or the beat of the song, whereas the left ear she switched to is more for hearing the vocals and feeling the voice...all i know is she definitely is a pro, and she obviously listened to the song with one ear for a reason
Very few compare. With the way he can command his voice on a whim, Mike Patton is really the only other person who comes to mind who can do it that flawlessly.
@@JiraiyaTheGallant44 I'm glad to see someone mention Mike Patton. He kind of fell off everyone's radar. Dimash and Mike both have FULL control of their registers and their capable octaves. They're most impressive because they cover a full gamut of frequencies. Not just mid to high, or mid to low. They can go to the lows and highs all in one breath.
I thought it happened only to mee😁but now I can realize many people have the same reaction, I can't stop hearing every day. He is a magician and there's no matter if you are young, old (I am) woman, man. I agree with many others, he's not from this planet
Dimash is a gift to humanity from heaven above, he is the ONLY singer on the planet that gives me tears, laughter, shivers, goosebumps, heart and breath stopping everytime I listen to him, he must be an angel as NO singer ever did that to me, he deserves a Grammy, Oscar and many more to come!
Take a look on Diana Ankudinova - Wicked Game, for example. In Russia we say, that Dimash is a Sound of Universe, and Diana is a Sound of Mother Earth.
The interesting thing is . . . you understand his capabilities from a technical standpoint. But, I promise you, each and every performance you see will still blow your mind. He brings something new and unexpected (and gloriously beautiful) to every song he sings. It's always stunning and mind blowing and completely different from anything you've heard before -- and, it's always Dimash.
It's always fun watching someone, especially a person with a musical background experience Dimash for the first time. This performance was from the Chinese contest The Singer-2017 and was only for established professional singers. Dimash was brought the competition as a wild card and nobody in the competition or audience know who he was. He was the youngest person in the competition at 22 years old and as the wildcard, Dimash was chosen to be the very first performer. So the reaction of the crowd was to a singer they had never heard of, and as you can see, he captured their hearts. Oh, and be ready for the rush of Dimash "Dears" stopping by to watch this and future dimash reaction videos!
I can definitely testify to the Dears dropping by part. I've got 15 reaction videos cued up right now. Most of them are from subscriptions so if you want more subs, do more Dimash. We are a very loyal group.
@@vocalsbycatherine Yes please! Dimash will continue to amaze you. And in addition to his glorious voice, he is very humble, kind and giving to his fans. He has fan clubs in 126 countries around the world. His wikipedia entry is very accurate, and gives a lot of background on him.
Me encanta ver a argentinos fanáticos de Dimash. Somos cada vez más. Yo hace 1 año que lo descubrí y me pasa lo mismo, no puedo parar de escucharlo. Es de otro planeta😍
First of all, thank you very much for reacting to Dimash....I'll share with you some info about him and some links for you to react more to his performances...--(BTW, He is going to give his Solo concert for the First time in America Its going to be in NY the next December 10th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn) If you can go...don't miss this one in a lifetime opportunity!!) ---Now, about him: Dimash Kudaibergen is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Kazakhstan and aged 25. He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music and is known for his wide vocal range of 6 octaves, from D2 to D8 (and 6 octaves and 5 semitones, from A1 to D8, with vocal fry). This spans from the bottom of the bass range beyond the top of the soprano range. Kudaibergen has performed songs in twelve different languages, his native language Kazakh, but he has performed in Russian, Mandarin, English, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish. Dimash's voice is like a finely tuned instrument. He posses multiple voice types :bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor and soprano. His vocal pallette is almost unheard for a male singer. His whistle register goes up to G#7 before China Singing Competition, but on the 16 September, he broke his personal highest note with a whistle register, D8 at Gakku Music Festival Almaty, Kazakhstan. The D8 note (4500-4800hz) which is 6 keys higher than G#7 and 2 keys surpassed the 88 piano C8. The whistle (C8-D8) with vibrato (5 sec). He attended (invited by organizer as foreign special guest ) the China Singing Competition "I'm a Singer 2017". Super Adam 👍 And: Hello, War and Peace, Screaming , Qween popury, Unforgettable day and others amazing sons Dimash is better of betters singer of all time👏💝
Dimashed! Join the club! I’m 75 and never expected to hear a voice like this in my lifetime. I feel honoured to be on planet earth at the same time as the humble, genuinely kind, beautiful soul. Watch some of his early interviews when you get 5!
I'm 61 and was a mezzo soprano singer with a four and a half octave range and he just blows my mind away. Every time I hear it I am starting to sing along if anything for the exercising of my lungs
A little treat for us, reactors: when you interrupt the video in the middle of something incredible, please rewind to the begining of the vocal run or note, please! But try to wait until he finishes his magic to pause, and then rewind that part and react again, i'd like that haha
Welcome to the world of Dimash. Dimash is 25 years born in kazakhstan and he has been classically trained since he was 5 years old (20 years) He can sing Opera, Rock, Pop, contemporary, a bit of rap and plenty of more. Dimash has an incredible 6 octave vocal range and incredible control. Dimash is 1.91cm (6'3). Next performance is Opera 2. He sings in 12 languages btw. OMG HE IS INCREDIBLE.
I, too, enjoy watching musicians watching Dimash for the first time. Yours was genuine and insightful, accompanied by a bit of comical. Good reaction :)
When you react to Late Autumn use this video ruclips.net/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/видео.html it has English subs. Love is Like a Dream from Dimash Kudaibergen channel has English subs remember to turn them on.
Pls pick Love is like dream frm his Moscow performance(he wore a Red Suit) in April 2019 frm Dimash's YT ch. For me it's more beautiful n sensational due to its more intimate setting❤
And not only the last two and a half years; he has been trained since he was five. He studied and practised in the Qazaqstan University of Arts, wherefrom he graduated as a Master of Arts in the spring of 2018. He is currently working for his doctorate.
SInger wasn't the first time he sung SOS, you can see earlier performances of him struggling to get those delicate high notes from when he was much younger. It's so amazing to see how he's improved.
This is not only a class in vocal dynamics, it's a class related to the electro-dynamics of the soul of every man, woman and child on this planet. Why are we being electrified? Millions of people are feeling this 'sound vibration' emanating from this being. The word "thrill" has meaning. Electro - dynamic power... is (obviously) underfoot and needs to be understood a lot more. Wow! The world can't help falling on its keens before him. We'll see.
I NEED to see you react to more Dimash! Please.... There's no one like him. And you're just Adorable! Thanks for putting me in an even better mood. Honestly! 😁🙃👍👍
Thank you for reaction! Welcome to world of Dimash! This is just a beginning of discovering Dimash! We will gladly go thru that journey with you even though it will be like another 1000th journey:)
It's okay Catherine ... I'm a 59 yr old male and can't control my tears when I hear this. It affects me every single time. He has at least 4-5 voices in there.
Catherine... we're there for you. This video was, pretty much, the whole world's first exposure to Dimash. The audience members had never heard of him before, he was brought into China as a wild card from Kazhakstan. The other singers who he competed against, all of which were seasoned prefessionals (this contest is all about pitting the audience's favorite national singers against each other and voting for a winner) you can see were absolutely blown away at THEIR first exposure to him. In short, the day Dimash walked onto this stage... the world trembled. Also, if you love ethereal, 'Love is Like a Dream' will need to be reacted to eventually. Finally, don't you love how he leaned into, and then trailed away from, that last note?
@@sammiecchana Hi, Hana. No, he did not win. He came in second. Pretty admirable considering he was the only non-Chinese singer in the competion, and the only singer who the most of the audience had never heard of before his 'SOS' performance. Another reason he didn't win is because only the final two rounds of the competion determined the ultimate winner, and one of these two competitions pushed Dimash into singing a genre of song that was not his strength. Finally, since many of the audience member came to this show to watch their favorite performers compete, and to vote for them to suceed, Dimash was at no small disadvantage when it came down to the end. Dimash did come in first in the voting for at least five of the thirteen songs he sang during the competition (including 'SOS'), which is a pretty strong percentage, if you think about it.
How could you be able to enjoy watching this magnificent voice when you keep pausing it every 5 seconds? It's like a pausing a great movie a million times.
He has been training since he was five, classically trained. His mother is a professional opera singer and father teaches music. Dimash has a Master’s in voice and will soon begin his PhD. He appears small but he is actually 6’3””. Great performer as well.
Thank you for your reaction!! Welcome to the magic world of Dimash. He is a vocal pioneer and definitely one of the best singers in the world right now! SOS is the perfect introduction to Dimash, but he still has a lot to surprise you with. As an amateur singer and musician, and having seen most of Dimash's performances, I would highly recommend your second reaction of him to be "Sinful Passion". It's a wonderful song, and you will literally be blown away by his alien performance. People usually request reactions to his latest performances, because they are more recent, but I do believe "Sinful Passion" encapsulates many interesting elements for a voice teacher and deserves to be one of the first performances of Dimash you will be introduced to.
Lol. I wrote a comment that I thought Dimash was an alien, from another universe, before RUclips started showing me all these vocal-coach reactions to his singing. Basically, many of them are saying the same thing. Anyone who has ever been a serious singer knows that what he is doing should be impossible for a human male past puberty. I think Dimash should be declared a world treasure.
Thank you for a heartfelt real reaction to this phenomenal singer DIMASH.Surprised you are maybe of this performance.....but there are more that will make you feel euphoric! He is the BEST...that no one can compare to his ability.I love your analysis of his singing...
Thank you for this wonderful analysis, Catherine. Dimash is my favorite singer, just like millions of other fans all over the world. It's not often enough that we get a new Dimash reacor who's a professional vocalist and can actually explain correctly what we're hearing. More reactions to Dimash from you would be appreciated by so many.
@@FretsOnFire I so agree! We get a few new professionals from time to time, but a lot of them aren't what they claim to be. You can tell Catherine is the real deal. It's a breath of fresh air, and I hope she does more. :-)
Great reaction Catherine - welcome to the World of Dimash. This was from The Singer 2017 - you should hear him now !!! But don't rush, check out his other The Singer 2017 performances - it will be an awesome ride. Enjoy !! Thank you.
Dimash has 6 octave vocal range..he is also classically trained..I'm impressed when I first read about dimash background,he's definitely work hard for his voice..but he's actually studied vocal since he was a kid
He was born with perfect pitch, but then he's been studying and practicing every day at least 3 hours since he was five. He's a miracle, and also he's an angel. In fact, in the next song (love is a dream) you can see him turn into an angel. Every tiny miniscule part of the vocal muscles is totally trained. We sent this to you because we want to share, and experience this joy. In artistry, in performance, he's a complete package.
Catherine, amazing reaction. Just great reaction to Dimash. Thank you. 🙂🙂 Welcome to Dimash world. He is amazing, really the best singer on this planet and for all times. You will see for yourself if you continue react to him. Pleaseeee react more to him. You will be mind blown. He sound like an instrument, so perfect, angelic and pure. His vibrato is so beautiful, his low registe voice, amazing, his high tone, pure and heavenly. His voice is not normal and out of this world. I will say that from the beginning of mankind and music history, no singer was born better than Dimash. He is the best of the best, princ of music, pure perfection in his voice. Catherine, Dimash has over 6 octaves range, he can sing EVERYTHING. All others great singers in the world, like: Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Celine Dion and more more others male and female, they all sound very similar, more or less. BUT DIMASH, this is another level, another level. Pleasee react more. Can I give you just one recommendation? Please react to his song "Ogni Pietra" from fan cam version. I will put a link where you can see him clearly. This is from his concert. He sings duet with himself. 😲😲😲😲😲😲 This is mind blowing and out of this planet. Pleaseee react. Here's a link and enjoy. 🙂🙂🙂🙂 But, whichever his song you choose, you will not wrong. But her's link of this song. Enjoy ruclips.net/video/8k1AHMxq-0g/видео.html
Listening to Dimash is a whole body mind spirit experience. He has the ability to draw you up into the music and fly with him in the story he is singing. It feels like a flight into a higher realm. Goosebumps every time he gets into a fuller resonance. Its lovely being in that world for a while, lifted and lighter afterward.
I have a friend who is totally deaf since birth. He is tickled by watching people watch/ listen to Dimash sing. He said, " I've spent my whole life watching people doing that singing thing."( He describes singing to him as silly looking as to him it's just someone bopping around with their mouths open for a few minutes) "It's like people are hearing something so confusing." I answered that it is confusing! Us hearing folks haven't heard this before. Very interesting conversation with someone who's never heard anything know Dimash is special. That he sings Diva Dance "The unsingable song" is so fitting. I absolutely love the words to this song in particular. Great reaction lol 😂 The screen memos had me loling
"He could sing The Phantom of the Opera, and both parts!" It couldn't be better! Support those who want to hear "The Phantom of the Opera" performed by Dimash.
@@cooperblue1191 It is, if you want to hear all the music clearly and see the entire show. But if you're a vocalist or musician looking to intently study Dimash & his technique, his face, throat, hand gestures throughout the performance, it's one of the best videos. Also, because the sound is a bit muddy, you don't hear the high frequencies well at all in the fancam - but his bass vocal notes sound massive and booming, quite impressive! For my part, I like to check out different versions for different perspectives.
YES....but I think you should...you know...like GET there because you won't understand what are you looking at if you just go for it without seeing any other performances by Diamsh...idk how to explain it lol
Catherine, what a very lovely reaction, the perfect blend of teaching and professional commentary, and pure enjoyment. How I loved your informed reaction! There just is no end to what Dimash is doing; it's amazing, he has performed or released a full album's worth of new songs this year, in addition to dropping his first album of slightly older music. Although a few of the songs are softer, quieter ballads, a number of them are these magnificent, tour de force songs, and one song that debuted in a concert in June was a bonfide rock anthem, the likes of which we haven't seen since bands like Genesis, Journey, or the Eagles. He is coming to Barclays Center in NYC on Dec 10th for his first solo concert in the US. We fans, aka "Dears" -- named that by him -- are delirious with joy! Coulda, wouldja be able to come? His concerts are posted on his own channel, for free, and you'll see they are nothing short of spectacular. We've be overjoyed to hear him do nothing but an acoustic set, but he loves, loves, loves energy, spectacle, and surprises. Almost as much as he loves his fans! What a decent human he is! Come in December? The tickets are insanely cheap, as his concert is sponsored by the Kazakh Ministry of Culture; he is so proud of his country, and his concert is named Arnau NYC -- Envoy. :-) Yes, I think he is an envoy for his country. BTW, Arnau translates as "dedication" in KZ. Come Catherine? We'd adore having you there.
Let me give you a secret about Dimash, not only is he genetically inclined, and trained from a very young age, he has a physical defect that helps him and explains his absolute phenomenal talent. His vocal folds are larger than normal. Thats the secret among the other things. This guy was literally born to sing at the upper echelon of vocalist in history. ❤️
Welcome to the world of Dimash. You've just stepped on to the train that has no end. The great thing about all the replies you will receive about which Dimash song to listen to next is that it won't matter which one you choose from here on out; all have the quality of perfection. I suggest you strap in because you're headed for the stratosphere.
Dimash is performing in the singing contest called The Singer from China 2017. As he is from Kazakhstan he was relatively unknown in China. This was the 1st show and he was the 1st artist. The audience were really warm and loved him. He shocked everyone with this performance. His star has risen. He is loved and adored now in so many countries. 💁🏻
this song makes me cry, it's really the most beautiful song in the world and i am glad that only a few singers with such a voice like Dimash are able to sing it that well
That's why the entire world surrendered to this performance even voice teachers and vocal coaches crown him the best singer in the world. It might shocking to learn his vocal range is six octaves but his effortless techniques with such high precision and seamless transitions/dynamics made him unique, stage presence too. I strongly suggest Sinful Passion at Sochi for another demonstration of voice colors and breath control also Ogni Pietra and Passion at New Wave 2019
NO! Don't watch any more, react to them with us!! You are so freaking adorable, and your video was cracking me up when this song usually has me in tears. Every time.
THE breath of fresh air... It brings a lot of smiles simply reading how some people try to compare his tremendously flexible range of voice with any other modern singer's known so far... For those striving to cram his overwhelming talent within frames of musical genre and whatsoever, there is one specific term to identify it: UNIQUENESS. Be grateful and humble to have him as our contemporary. Blessings and inspiration to all artists and kind souls... We need them all at these dark times...
I'm a classically trained Lyric Baritone who studied with one of the best tenors in Europe after he retired and taught at my university. I also played the oboe for over 30 years for film, symphony, etc. I sang a solo in front of thousands at a national music educators convention in Atlantic City, N.J. USA in 1973. I was the youngest member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at 18 (another member had been accepted at 14, so I wasn't the youngest ever, just at the time I was in the choir). I know music. My wife is a very well-trained cellist. We met in an orchestra just over 42 years ago, and won't ever part. She knows music. Both of us noticed he's queuing and conducting the accompaniment. He queues them at critical points. Dimash is a trained pianist, drummer, and singer, plus other instruments. He speaks over half a dozen languages, too. His Mother is a very good coloratura soprano. His Dad produces music and is also a singer. His persistence from before the age of 5 drove his parents to let him study what he wanted to, and this is the result. A young man who worked many hours a day for 20 years to be able to press his compliant chords to do his bidding in any register. He sings comfortably over 6 octaves. He has perfect pitch. There are recordings of him singing a third higher than a piano's highest 'C'. To date, I've not seen him sing lower than I can, but he's young and it might still happen. That, however, is a limitation of vocal cord length, so the lower registers are physically constrained. The top registers are held back by our unwillingness to put in the work necessary to get where we want to go. Miss Catherine Rose Smith, yours is one of my favorite reaction videos, and since hearing the first yesterday, I've listened to over a dozen. Please know I appreciate your words. I didn't hear anything from you that was contrary to what I learned in my years of Bel Canto training. That's very impressive.
You've complemented your wife, and yourself 13 times, the singer 3 times, the singers mom once and his dad once, and the reactor twice (give or take, I didn't really go in depth after your 9th complement of yourself) In sumeraton, get over yourself, you analytical skills should involve non bias comparison. Not what ever the hell I just read.
@Edward Hayes Is it so hard and difficult for you to google some info on this magician? Btw his nickname is Dimash. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimash_Kudaibergen
@Edward Hayes Single talent without extraordinary human qualities is an empty and shiny shell. Dimash shares all his qualities with the rest of the mankind without any hesitation. That's why I completely admire his existence.
At the beginning of the video Cath: He's an angel! me to my monitor: No he’s an alien girl, just so you wait later in de video Cath : You send me an alien!! Me: told you!
“Raving like a lunatic” was a perfect description of the way I felt the first time I heard Dimash. This was a fabulous review. I would also recommend “sinful passions”.
Hello this was my first time seeing your channel; Dimash isn’t human but an alien from some distance galaxy or maybe an Angel send from the heavens to sing to us mortals lol ;you such had a taste of this man is capable of doing, here a bit a about him and show he was on. Dimash kudaibergen is only 25 years old and has been studying music since the age of 5,he has a master in music in Classical and Contemporary, both of his parents are famous singers from his home country of Kazakhstan ( a country in Asia the used to part of Russia),his incredible range consists of 6 Octaves and 5 semi tones, including vocal fry A1- D8; he sings in 12 languages his native language Kazakh,Russian,Mandarin,English, French,Italian,Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish. He is also a multi-instrumentalists and song writter he loves mixing styles of different genres Opera,POP,Rock,Rap to create amazing songs and jaw dropping Performances,He always gives his heart and soul in every performance, you may assume that since you have heard him sing he can’t suprised you but you’ll be wrong in every single performance is unique,he’ll always does something new , a crazy tone or style you haven’t heard before and he loves improving on his performances for example on this beautiful French song SOS there is a better version of this perfection ,he perform it at Russia Slavic Baazar a live performance in 2018.Dimash’s personality complements his skill,he is a very humble person, cares about his fans, his family and friends, gives back to elderly and children. Earlier this year he participated in his first talent show in the US “The World’s Best”,he accepted the invitation because he was told that he wouldn’t compete against children,he advanced in show to the semifinals and would had won the show but he had to compete again two beautiful young children ,he politely thanks the judges and asked to them let the children pass and withdrew from the competition forfeit the one million dollar prize. He wanted the children to have the opportunity,he didn’t care about the prize money or recognition the title would had given him, one of children became the winner of the Show;by the way don’t react to those performances as they cut to much of his songs. Now on the show you such saw him perform is called The Singer or I’m Singer is a Chinese show but not your typical talent show, first they have a huge budget always live music all the singers are known famous singers most from China. Dimash was unknown in China and was invited as a wildcard in beginning of the video you see people cheering and clapping they were not doing that for Dimash but because they were excited that the show has started they had no idea what they were about to experience you can see the audience reaction. Please continue reacting to Dimash I highly recommend you try to do it in order continue his second performance on the Singer 2017 with the amazing Russian song by Vitas Opera 2 here that link ruclips.net/video/anKmU1J0l9g/видео.html. I never found this song with English Subtitles but is probably one of the songs that doesn’t need translation,is jaw dropping you’ll see. Welcome to Dimash’s world enjoy the amazing journey.
I just love watching professionals sit in complete awe of the god on that stage. When they attempt to explain what he does (and do a good job) but just be completely unable to encompass his pure talent. When he goes off the keyboard literally and blows everyones minds is just the best thing to watch. I feel like a proud parent watching him awe people again and again, and just sit here with a fat ass grin on my face as he goes super human. I have no shame spending hours of my day watching these
Dimashified in no time 😻😻. Listen, his song "Know" is his recent K.O. if you wanna see his 4 octaves at work hit it. There is songs with D8 , or G#7 ns, or him competing vocally with the guitar .... but "Know' will let you know all you need 💁♂️😅P.s. Ogni Pietra (FanCam is a rare gem for vocalist). (Speaking as vocalist)
I don't understand that fancam-thing, If you want best audio, official version from Igor krutoy's channel is best ruclips.net/video/dkPS6t84qg4/видео.html
@@MrAki65 I'm basically reposting my reply to another comment: the fancam's not good at all if you want to hear all the music clearly and see the entire show. Guess what? Dimash is the best single in the world, but you are the best speaker I have ever heard, and your voice is so beautiful as well. Thank you for your video.
@@johnfry4501, did it first: So-sorry, this is off topic, but You are so very pretty. I discovered Dimash some time ago and love everything he does A good suggestion is "Ulisse" it is very different from other performances he gives. My mothers name was Catherine. 1
Nice reaction, Catherine. He is truly amazing and his voice is a gift to the ears. Please do more reactions to him. I liked the snipped of "Circles"...your voice is very sweet and pleasant. I will keep an eye out for it's release. Good luck sleeping! 😁
I love your emotional and down to earth reaction, very precise too in elaborating about the prowess of Dimash, a very fortunate gift of a lifetime for our generation! I too love your voice which is uniquely sweet and certainly will support your future endeavors. Btw, I suggest you react to Opera 2, Adagio, Sinful Passion and own song, Ogni Pietra, composed especially for Dimash by legendary composer Igor Krutoy who came out of semi-retirement. Dimash can sing in 6 octaves and in all musical genres.
Strider with all respect, you can’t compare songs, they all amazing in different way, im not saying this one is bad, im fan of all, but Sinful passion is less technical? That thing he is doing in the end with his voice is historically what kazakh people do from very old times, not everybody can do tho, it is a technically done very well
@@altxvs8640 but my point is, less technical than this song. This song goes from male to female operatic, pop, falsetto etc. It shows a colossal range. Sinful passion is good, but shows less. I don't understand the confusion
Bravo Miss Catherine, I can't remember how many times I've seen this " technically perfect " performance. But watching your reaction had me in tears, cheering you on and so happy that you got to experience Dimash. If you can, try Dimash performing Adagio. Love your professionalism.
Same thing here. I never get any goosebump whenever I listen to Dimash. But I am not ashamed, as a man to tell you that I have to wipe a tear or two after 5 minutes listening to Dimash.
Great reaction Take your pick Sinful Passion Love Is Like a Dream Late Autumn Hello Opera 2 Mr Hyde Passione Love of Tired Swans Daybreak (Bastau concert and from the TV show The Singer, he was really sick during the The Singer version but it's still great. You should watch the whole back story first then watch both versions) Diva Dance (watch Bastau concert version) Ogni Pietra from Arnau concert (Fancam version) Show Must Go On Adagio All By Myself Anyone of these performances will blow your mind
My newest hobby is watching professionals lose their mind to Dimash's insane vocals
Yesss
Yup same here😂
hahaha ive been doing this the past two days lol
I’m 2days in. Ha!
Me too! Vocal Coaches be like 🤯
The worst part about watching a Dimash video is knowing you'll never get to watch him for the first time again
Omg that’s so true lol I was actually thinking that this morning and being sad about it
my goodness. come to think of it . that is trully sad
Every time with him IS the first time......... lol
its funny because I JUST told a friend today that I was so jealous of them when she said she had never heard of Dimash before and she was about to watch him sing SOS. perhaps I was a little over dramatic ("YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!!!" lol) but she definitely had that mind blown look when she was done and that fresh hunger to hear more like we all did.
Yep, that's why everyone loves watching reactions to it. It's the next best thing. I've watched like 20 first reactions to SOS. The more intense and genuine the reaction the better. This one is fantastic.
If you continue to watch Dimash, you'll be in a ride of your life. This is the only the tip of the iceberg of Dimash's vocal abilities.
can this be top comment please? lol :D
What an *masterpiece* comment
Which are some of your absolute favorite Mary Ann? : )
Oh so very true
I love his song autom song
I'd be embarrassed to even estimate how many Dimash reaction videos I've watched in the past month or so. I keep coming back to this one. It's my absolute favourite. I'm sad you never made any more. I'd have loved to have seen how you reacted to Opera 2, Diva Dance, Sinful Passion and Ogni Pietra.
she s just an empty laguage of theory. she doesnt understand a think about art..you can see this by her leastening dimash with one ear..thats sacrilege
I’ve watched like ten in the past hour or so!
What would make this reaction better is if Mz Smith wouldn't stop the video every time Dimash did something amazing. He is an amazing singer so there were WAYYY too many times she interrupted when it got really good.
Já eu assisto todo dia
@@ntuniversal see how in the beginning she switched from the right ear to the left ear, that''s because the right ear is more efficient in hearing a speech or the beat of the song, whereas the left ear she switched to is more for hearing the vocals and feeling the voice...all i know is she definitely is a pro, and she obviously listened to the song with one ear for a reason
He is one, perhaps the most technically gifted singer alive today.
Very few compare. With the way he can command his voice on a whim, Mike Patton is really the only other person who comes to mind who can do it that flawlessly.
Another fun fact: he can do that with no hands + eyes closed.
ever
well, i've no plan, but i agree!
I love when the person watching gets amazed at his range before he even gets close to what he can do
This
exactly!
For 2 years now, I cannot go a day without hearing his voice. Believe me u will want to hear him again and again.
Me too
What is she going to "react" to, after Dimash?
Yep since 2017 I hear him everyday
I thought it happened only to mee😁but now I can realize many people have the same reaction, I can't stop hearing every day. He is a magician and there's no matter if you are young, old (I am) woman, man. I agree with many others, he's not from this planet
Dimash is a gift to humanity from heaven above, he is the ONLY singer on the planet that gives me tears, laughter, shivers, goosebumps, heart and breath stopping everytime I listen to him, he must be an angel as NO singer ever did that to me, he deserves a Grammy, Oscar and many more to come!
❤❤❤
Agreed ❤
Welcome to the Kingdom of the King of the Music Dimash! Greetings from Costa Rica.-
Christian Berrocal 👏🏼🇨🇷 pura vida
Thank you so much for you information, glad to hear dimas voice in this live time. 😊
Hi, just discovered him like 1 hr ago, I’m on a high of adrenaline and amazement. This dude just won singing, literally just won
Jose Garcia Same here 🙈
Take a look on Diana Ankudinova - Wicked Game, for example.
In Russia we say, that Dimash is a Sound of Universe, and Diana is a Sound of Mother Earth.
Ha. When quarantine started I did the same thing and had the same thought! lol
Other singers are for when Dimash isn't available to perform.
Jose, thank you but Dimash is not a dude or a guy. he's a gentlman
Exactly 👍✌ Loves from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿❤❤❤
Yeeep
Dimash's Last name is Qudaibergen, which literally means "Given by God"
Why doesn't that surprise us? Lol
Well that explains everything
Too fuckin right lol
thank you

YES.
Yes, there will be many Dears from all over the world, especially Russia and Kazakhstan.
the reaction of the other performers in the 'green room' is very educational... they're utterly astonished.
Worse... someone has to go on-stage next!!
You've been Dimashed! Welcome to the journey. This was 3 years ago. You should hear him now. First US solo concert Dec 10 Barclays Center NYC.
@@vocalsbycatherine Yes please! Dimash will continue to amaze you. And in addition to his glorious
voice, he is very humble, kind and giving to his fans. He has fan clubs in 126 countries around the world. His wikipedia entry is very accurate, and gives a lot of background on him.

Hello 👋 welcome to the World of Dimash !!!!! Best wishes from Argentina 🇦🇷
Why are the tears welling up in us? Millions of us... around the world. LOVe.
First of all, thank you very much for reacting to Dimash....I'll share with you some info about him and some links for you to react more to his performances...--(BTW, He is going to give his Solo concert for the First time in America Its going to be in NY the next December 10th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn) If you can go...don't miss this one in a lifetime opportunity!!) ---Now, about him:
Dimash Kudaibergen is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Kazakhstan and aged 25.
I recommend you to watch to these performances that are more recent so you can witness how he has developed so Amazingly and im sure you will Love them...!!

Both of u are wonderful. I'm amazed, thankful and happy that you enjoy his singing :)
I'm 74 and that is the absolute best song I have ever heard in my life. I just started ranking my favorite songs and I gave that one 101!
I just wish I could see him live. Just, such an experience.
You've gotta see him live, I've been to a few of his concerts and its an out of this world experience every time
The beginning of many surprises, I think. Thanks. DKIFC Canada
His voice is impeccable. I do not know anyone in this earth that sing as he does. Get over it America. So much talent all over the world.
Welcome to Dimashland. Many many more to react to..all are awesome
A little treat for us, reactors: when you interrupt the video in the middle of something incredible, please rewind to the begining of the vocal run or note, please! But try to wait until he finishes his magic to pause, and then rewind that part and react again, i'd like that haha

Gustavo Pinheiro I agree with you
She is pretty bad at this.
I believe there are other comments about this, hope she sees it haha
I actually counted how many times she stopped the video.... i watched it soo many times and i NEVER STOPPED
Thanks for emotional and professional reaction.

"Late autumn" and "love is like a dream" from Dimash have that ethereal sound u mentioned, please react
I know you are a voice teacher but subs always on please, most of those lyrics are just way too beautiful to not activate them while listening.
You're one of my new were subscriptions, and I just want to say that this is the most informative reaction I've seen you do so far. Thanks.

Dimash has been practicing since that performance over 2.5 years ago. You should hear him now!
it has been a million times maybe lol
And not only the last two and a half years; he has been trained since he was five. He studied and practised in the Qazaqstan University of Arts, wherefrom he graduated as a Master of Arts in the spring of 2018. He is currently working for his doctorate.
SInger wasn't the first time he sung SOS, you can see earlier performances of him struggling to get those delicate high notes from when he was much younger. It's so amazing to see how he's improved.
@bungalaix Just do a search for "Dimash SOS Slavic Bazaar"
Welcome to the world of Dimash. He is a phenomenon. Keep going. There's so much more to experience. Greetings from Texas. DKIFC/USA
Watching people react to Dimash is my favorite thing ever! He's an absolute angel, vocally!
Not only vocally, by all I'f seen or heard of him, he's a very, very nice guy!!😃
Nah he is absolutely an angel, like every part of him is angelic
This is not only a class in vocal dynamics, it's a class related to the electro-dynamics of the soul of every man, woman and child on this planet. Why are we being electrified? Millions of people are feeling this 'sound vibration' emanating from this being. The word "thrill" has meaning. Electro - dynamic power... is (obviously) underfoot and needs to be understood a lot more. Wow! The world can't help falling on its keens before him. We'll see.
Congratulations you're officially just been Dimashified 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for a great reaction to our prince Dimash 👏

Unbelievable!!! Such an incredibly beautiful, controlled voice. Grand Master of singing.
Thank you for discussing our fav singer ever, the more you watch, the more you love. Opera 2 would be a logical next choice.
It's okay Catherine ... I'm a 59 yr old male and can't control my tears when I hear this. It affects me every single time. He has at least 4-5 voices in there.
gibbopg I’m 63 and feel the same.
What happened anyway? Did he won?
@@sammiecchana
Hi, Hana.
Yes, it is still a huge accomplishment. As he always say, rank is not important.
How could you be able to enjoy watching this magnificent voice when you keep pausing it every 5 seconds? It's like a pausing a great movie a million times.
This is a reaction video from a voice teacher. If you want to listen to Dimash sing without someone pausing... do that.
plz react to "Love is like a dream" and "Passione" by him. mindblowing!!!!!
I've just want to suggest the same. 👍🏼
Definitely agree. Especially if she appreciates the light airy notes.
I definitely suggest "Autumn Strong (秋意浓)" ruclips.net/video/Kmi2cVijdMo/видео.html
He has been training since he was five, classically trained. His mother is a professional opera singer and father teaches music. Dimash has a Master’s in voice and will soon begin his PhD. He appears small but he is actually 6’3””. Great performer as well.
Gene, thanks for the info
Why do you guys go on with this "he appears to be small"? It's so random - and I don't see why he would seem as such, to anyone 🙂.

this performance makes me cry every time i experience it..& i'm a grown-ass man....i can only imagine what dimash sounds like live-in-person...

Не играть, а проживать на сцене каждое слово, каждый звук! Чистота и Искренность - вот секрет Вселенской Любви к Димашу!!!) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Отлично👍
Thank you for this wonderful analysis, Catherine. Dimash is my favorite singer, just like millions of other fans all over the world. It's not often enough that we get a new Dimash reacor who's a professional vocalist and can actually explain correctly what we're hearing. More reactions to Dimash from you would be appreciated by so many.

Dimash has 6 octave vocal range..he is also classically trained..I'm impressed when I first read about dimash background,he's definitely work hard for his voice..but he's actually studied vocal since he was a kid
You said most important words about Dimash - thoughtful and thought provoking. That's what he is trying to do.

I would love to hear Dimash perform with Andrea Bocelli whose tenor range is also beautiful.
Dimash should come with a seatbelt warning.

@@rslambert1 I think is the worst version, no joke!

AUTUM STRONG ,dimash translated, you will cry a river.
Love it and can't wait for the other of Dimash reaction. Greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Every time.
"What just happened?"
You got Dimash-ed. Watching someone's first reaction to him is worth it. Welcome to the club.
Dimash is a breath of fresh air in this stagnant world
THE breath of fresh air...
@Edward Hayes In fact his magnificent humanitarian activities, which are listed in detail on his wikipedia page, amaze me a lot.
@Edward Hayes Single talent without extraordinary human qualities is an empty and shiny shell. Dimash shares all his qualities with the rest of the mankind without any hesitation. That's why I completely admire his existence.
Wow..what's with the evil looking gun? Killing as a hobby?
At the beginning of the video
Cath: He's an angel!
me to my monitor: No he’s an alien girl, just so you wait
later in de video
Cath : You send me an alien!!
Me: told you!
LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Спасибо, вам! Отличная реакция! да, Димашжан у нас такой неземной, неповторимый! Мы гордимся им! Алла жар болсын қашанда! 👍👍👍👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
и жаны сол дейди 😘

“Raving like a lunatic” was a perfect description of the way I felt the first time I heard Dimash. This was a fabulous review. I would also recommend “sinful passions”.
Hello this was my first time seeing your channel; Dimash isn’t human but an alien from some distance galaxy or maybe an Angel send from the heavens to sing to us mortals lol ;you such had a taste of this man is capable of doing, here a bit a about him and show he was on.
Dimash kudaibergen is only 25 years old and has been studying music since the age of 5,he has a master in music in Classical and Contemporary, both of his parents are famous singers from his home country of Kazakhstan ( a country in Asia the used to part of Russia),his incredible range consists of 6 Octaves and 5 semi tones, including vocal fry A1- D8; he sings in 12 languages his native language Kazakh,Russian,Mandarin,English,
French,Italian,Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish.
I have no shame spending hours of my day watching these
Beautiful reaction. I love it when a technically trained singer is ambushed by Dimash. It shows that you listen with your heart as well as your head.
I'm enjoying everything about this vdeo
CRS soo beautiful. Those insights you give are so on point and easy to understand. Liked and subscribed.
Fancam Ogni Pietra (Arnau concert)ruclips.net/video/8k1AHMxq-0g/видео.html
I don't understand that fancam-thing, If you want best audio, official version from Igor krutoy's channel is best ruclips.net/video/dkPS6t84qg4/видео.html
@@MrAki65 I'm basically reposting my reply to another comment: the fancam's not good at all if you want to hear all the music clearly and see the entire show. For my part, I like to check out different versions for different perspectives, usually the hi quality version.
Hello from Kazakhstan! Good reaction and a beautiful girl!
Guess what? Dimash is the best single in the world, but you are the best speaker I have ever heard, and your voice is so beautiful as well. Thank you for your video.
I love the reactions but somebody's gotta say, Catherine is absolutely drop dead gorgeous!
anthony pizzi Ok except you’d never get a word in edgewise...
@@johnfry4501, did it first: So-sorry, this is off topic, but You are so very pretty.
I discovered Dimash some time ago and love everything he does
A good suggestion is "Ulisse" it is very different from other performances he gives.
My mothers name was Catherine.

Welcome to the Dimash world. You've been dimashed my dear. This is just the beginning. Loved your reaction and explanation. New subscriber btw 😁
Nice reaction, Catherine. He is truly amazing and his voice is a gift to the ears. Please do more reactions to him.
I liked the snipped of "Circles"...your voice is very sweet and pleasant. I will keep an eye out for it's release.
Good luck sleeping! 😁
Great reaction……love your style. Thanks for sharing
Once you’ve discovered Dimash you can’t go back he is one of a kind. Please watch sinful passion and Ogni Pietra performances from him 😄
Trust me, next one is Dimash - Sinful passion, this will knock you out
She might not survive if she goes straight to Sinful Passion! She might even go out with a sinful passion of her own!
I don't understand the hype, it isn't better than this song she's doing now. It's less technical and impressive..? So...
Strider with all respect, you can’t compare songs, they all amazing in different way, im not saying this one is bad, im fan of all, but Sinful passion is less technical? That thing he is doing in the end with his voice is historically what kazakh people do from very old times, not everybody can do tho, it is a technically done very well
@@strider5119 100%!
@@altxvs8640 but my point is, less technical than this song.
This song goes from male to female operatic, pop, falsetto etc. It shows a colossal range. Sinful passion is good, but shows less. I don't understand the confusion
I always said the God was handing out voices to the angels and one fell through heaven and landed on Dimash....incredible.
Мне кажется, что "конкурс" На лучшую реакцию на Димаша, давно и не официально Обьявился сам...)))
Удачи, блогеры!)))
Ну где Димаши раекция там миллионный реакции
This is the only song she has reacted to by Dimash. Doesn’t make sense to me.
Bravo Miss Catherine, I can't remember how many times I've seen this " technically perfect " performance. But watching your reaction had me in tears, cheering you on and so happy that you got to experience Dimash. If you can, try Dimash performing Adagio.
Love your professionalism.
Whahahahaaaaa!
I don't know why my eyes get everytime tears listening to that brilliant song and voice....
Same thing here. I never get any goosebump whenever I listen to Dimash. But I am not ashamed, as a man to tell you that I have to wipe a tear or two after 5 minutes listening to Dimash.
Yes,like an alien from other planet, that's his voice
Next ,, dimash, love is like a dream.. oke
