you know what, There are still many more Indonesian cultures that have not been shown in this video. Indonesia is a diverse cultures country. We don't describe our country is Bali culture or Java culture or specific culture, but we all describe our country as a country full of diverse culture in that. Like our national motto, "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" which means "Unity in Diversity"🇮🇩

As an Indonesian, I am happy and thank you for watching "HARI TARI SEDUNIA". Many foreign tourists visit and are amazed because "each area is on one island and moving to another island is like visiting a different country". Because Indonesia has many tribes, many cultures, many languages, many traditional clothes, thousands of culinary delights and millions of islands. What is noticeable is the language used by local residents when tourists vacation in different places in Indonesia. "How can they communicate with the thousands of languages they speak?" that's what they often ask, and our answer is "We use BAHASA INDONESIAN (Indonesia language)". As you can see in the video, you can see various traditional clothes and dances, and actually we have more than 1000 dances from various regions. And we are very happy that you can enjoy the video.

At 5:04 you said it sound similar to Turkish music, i think it's bcs the place where this dance come from (which is Jambi) is heavily influenced by the Arab/middle eastern traders. So the people there incorporating sounds, visual (the male dancers in this one wearing "hats" that are only used by Muslims when they do Shalah) and moves from those traders back in the day. Jambi is in Sumatra and some places in this island still hold onto Arab/Middle Eastern Muslims culture that blended into their own culture.
At 5:33 is another example of other cultures blended into the traditional Indonesian one. In Jakarta, it is known that Betawi (the people, language and culture) has influence from the Chinese who landed there and naturalized. You can hear the slightly Chinese flavor in the music and the dancers has a whole lot of orange-reddish, which is a color popular for the Chinese descent.
    Greetings from Indonesia, East Java!

05:00 the reason why you heard similarities between traditional Malay and Turkish music is because it share similarity with Arab music. Islam-Arab culture was verry influential in Malay culture in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei. not only in music but also in language, literature, clothes ,food etc..
It is estimated that Islam first entered Indonesia in the 7th century AD through maritime trade routes. Muslim traders from India and Arab-Persia that originally came to do trade latter decided to settled along the coast then spread the teachings of Islam and Arabic culture which then resulted in acculturation.
Gambus music (gambus is both a musical genre and a musical instrument) is a genre of music that was created due to the mixing of pre Islamic malay music with Arabic music. The instruments consist of the gambus (thought to have evolved from an Arabic instrument called the Oud), violin, rebana (a type of tambourine similar to Arabic and Turkish tambourine called Riqq) drum, tabla, accordion and flute. because in this music the scales (Eastern musical scales (makams) and instruments used are the similar as Arabic music ( accordion, gambus, violine and rebana), the music produced is also similar.
