purchased and installed one similar. compared to stock..absolutley an upgrade and worth a budgeted expense. difference between high and low is almost none. I do feel much more safer at night.
I know I’m a bit late on this, but I just started riding a month ago and this was the first aftermarket purchase I made for my ‘17 XL883N. It is amazing how much of an improvement over oem light. And, you were right about having stock retainer, if you have that the hardest part is getting the harness to fit “just right”. #DDFM Crew supports ya!
It's really upsidedown, even on ebay some sellers show picture with the headlight upsidedown. 😅 But i like this comparission because it's good to know how bright and in what form the light is.
I have this kind unbranded light worked great for 3 yrs didn't needed any other light but now moisture started sweeping in, might need to open it clear it & sealed it.
BUY IT!!!! I bought this exact brand on Amazon for $50.99 (Wisamic) Its super easy to install, looks killer. great daytime safety visibility. SAE DOT APPROVED
Looking at the light pattern while you were riding it's clearly mounted crooked in the housing. I just bought an LED headlight bulb and it works just as well as that one and it only cost $35 for a pair of them!
I got them for my iron 883 too. Great upgrade. The metal ring is what keeps the headlight from not rotating or changing level from riding vibration... and yeah I think you have got it on upside down too. Better to get the high beam up so that you can blind ignorant idiots on the road :)
Did you just buy a billet grill for your stock headlight housing? And which size. I bought one that's came as headlight, housing and grill but it was too small for my fairing, (exact same as you have) any info is greatly appreciated
Got the same exact one on my 89 XLH 1200, 33$ flEbay ....luv the beam pattern & brightness, wired the 2 color switchback light ring to the turns so it turns white to orange when blinking
Hey man.. I have a 2000 sportster 883. I am trying to install a LED daymaker but theres not enough space inside the headlamp housing because of all the wires in there. Any tips on how to make that work?
I have had this on mine for a while now, but my beam looks way different than yours. Must be the orientation, I also threw on a light bar to fill in the area right in front.
I think you have the wires screwed up. The low beam should be the high beam you turned on. when you show low beam, this should be what come up when you turn high beam on. It's not that the light is upside down I think
Also I have a question for you about the 1250 kit or something of that nature for a 883 upgrade . Do you think it is really worthwhile to do this . I have a 2009 iron Sportster 883 paid 5500 for it in perfect condition . Would in your opinion would it be cost effective and worth while to do this upgrade . Just asking your opinion. Thanks in advance for your time and love your vids.
Love the look of the headlight fairing and grill combo, any way to get those cheap amazon fairings to fit on wider forks? Got a 2016 roadster with 43mm forks
So I bought that light, but it won't fit into my bike. I have a 2014 HD Switchback and apparently I need a new ring bracket because the one I have won't work. Anyways, but thing to look for when buying one of these. Just the light won't work on certain bikes, you need an adapter ring too.
No it's a 7" but the stock Ring Bracket is made only for the stock light bulb. The ring bracket you get with the Daymaker (or offbrand) I believe is a universal size bracket. It's not the width that is the problem, the bowl that the light sets in is too shallow to fit most types of lights.
+MotoZixxer it is but it doesn't have any difference on the low beams once flipped. I have mine aimed a little further out than most since most of my riding is in the city.
the interior ring wasn't needed with the new headlight. there were slots cut into the actual headlight that took the place of that. the ring was replaced long ago by that headlight grill. the grill screws into a ring placed on the back of the housing that holds the headlight in place.
Did you just literally plug the new led light in? You didn't have to do any adjustments for example like doing eletrical adjustments when installing led lights in cars?
Another Great Video ... now this is a good video because you showed us what it looks like before and after... and road test viewing is a must for us... also you did not tell us how long will this new lighting bulb last?? one year or ten years ???
My wife has a 1997 Sportster, hers has the little insert into the housing kind of build H4, do you know if this is just a plug and play for hers? I can't seem to find any answers on it. Basically does this just replace the bulb housing?
I have the 2007 Sportster. There are 2 bulbs. The main headlight bulb and a small parking light bulb. If you install this daymaker, you can ignore the parking light fittings and just wrap them with isolation tape.
i just picked one of these up do you know what the red wire is supposed to be hooked to if at all? do you know what those triangle shaped lights are for at the top of the light?
Tim Andros you splice the red wire to the positive of the standing light. the ground of the standing light just cap it. the red wire will light up the angel eyes or daylight led’s if your led headlight is equipped with them.
i just want to ask I got the same headlight and I noticed a red wire coming out of the socket! what to do with it should I cover it ? splice. it? or cut it off? appreciate your quick response
+xbx2207 it's to power the white triangles. I didn't wire mine up. No need to cover it or cut it off. If you want those to light up you can splice it. If not, just plug and play
Just a minor difference my bike is a 2016 model I was surprised to find more cable inside it turns to be for the day running lights in the stock light I didn't noticed it before but unfortunately its a female end so have to splice the wires to make the triangles work properly.
great Video ,.Mister Bike n Bird thank you . het can you add / Give the link to that Great American Eagle Sticker you have Across Your tank , i want to add them to the side of my 883 iron Tank.. thank you in Advance Gee
I purchased a sunpie daymaker light from amazon and it is awesome. Cant beleive how bright it is and I got it for $45 . Dont buy from the stealership. They want $400 for the same light.
Dude, you installed a light attenuator on your bike? You should be adding lights to your bike, not attenuating what you have, even if it's a brighter bulb. The key to survival on the road is visibility. The more lights you have on, especially in the day, the lower the risk of having a vehicle pull out in front of you. Take my advice and buy a bike with at least two very bright headlights or add driving lights, like on a Roadmaster. I added driving lights to my Vulcan and not only did I see better at night, my near misses dropped dramatically.
Looks like you installed it upside down ?
Randy Robinson haha could be especially when he showed the high beam
Randy Robinson v5*6
He has a UK model probably
purchased and installed one similar. compared to stock..absolutley an upgrade and worth a budgeted expense. difference between high and low is almost none. I do feel much more safer at night.

nice man!! I ordered one the other day for my fxr. totally stoked to actually see the road and not the wall of black death
Sold! I just purchased mine. Can't wait to get it on!
Just ordered this the other day, it is supposed to be delivered today. Great video ill def remember not to install it upside down.
I'm pretty sure it's upside down !!!!!
I have the same, and this guy put it upsidedown, not hard to fix anyway
It's really upsidedown, even on ebay some sellers show picture with the headlight upsidedown. 😅 But i like this comparission because it's good to know how bright and in what form the light is.
Ahahahaha!!!
Nice!!!
Look for the DOT writing on the glass, obviously writing should be upright.
It's Upside down. I have the same one on my yamama
Just wondering about longevity. 4 years later have you had any problems with it?
I have this kind unbranded light worked great for 3 yrs didn't needed any other light but now moisture started sweeping in, might need to open it clear it & sealed it.
Dude that's hella brighter! Looks wicked easy on the install, too. Dammit, you just put another thing in my 'save for later' on Amazon, haha
if you don't have the fairing or grill it would literally be a 5 minute install. SO worth the money!
You got it upside down in the video when you hit bright the profile of the beam should cast up not down, if you see what I mean
I know it's an old video but I'll ask anyway;
How has it held up? Is it actually any good?
Does it fit a Harley Street750 eventually?
That was the first thing I changed when I got 07 sporster and I love it. I got mine from Amazon for 68 bucks. Thanks for great vids.
+Omer C totally worth the money
I also have the 2007 Sportster and thinking about getting a daymaker like this. 🤔 I believe it is making a huge difference on visibility.
Did this, now coming out of the driveway the neighbor across the street is lit up like the 4th ok July.
Bought mine a year ago, still works great. Saved about 475 bucks as we all know Harleys day maker runs about 500.
What was the name? The link is dead
What are the blinkers can you post a link to those to i need that whole setup on my sportster please and thank you sir
Do they still work?
can I put this on a hawk 250
I just installed this light on my 2008 Dyna Super glide and the brights are stuck on it won't dim, I am on RUclips now trying to figure that out.
BUY IT!!!! I bought this exact brand on Amazon for $50.99 (Wisamic) Its super easy to install, looks killer. great daytime safety visibility. SAE DOT APPROVED
+Paul Fox 6 months later and I still haven't had a single issue with mine though rain, Texas heat, long rides, etc.
NICE!!!
Thanks for the update

Still no issues?
Thanks for the update.
Please do you have the links to buy this for 883 iron 2012 please ?
From France
Thank you
Just wondering if it is compatible with Yamaha bolt or anyone tried to put it on???
hi,Where is the red line next to the triangular plug? What does the video say?
Is it just me or is the high beam on the led wired to the low beam on the bike .....? thats what i see in the comparison at 2:00.
How'd you get the inside of the headlight case so clean as far as wiring?
Looking at the light pattern while you were riding it's clearly mounted crooked in the housing. I just bought an LED headlight bulb and it works just as well as that one and it only cost $35 for a pair of them!
You still run this light how is it holding up
I'm thinking about putting 4 of these on my car to replace my old factory ones. I bought 2 cheaper halogen ones and the the light pattern is horrible
Has the headlight held up okay?
I got them for my iron 883 too. Great upgrade. The metal ring is what keeps the headlight from not rotating or changing level from riding vibration... and yeah I think you have got it on upside down too. Better to get the high beam up so that you can blind ignorant idiots on the road :)
+Joshy George yeah it was fixed the next day :)
Did you just buy a billet grill for your stock headlight housing? And which size. I bought one that's came as headlight, housing and grill but it was too small for my fairing, (exact same as you have) any info is greatly appreciated
The big lens (high beam)
Should be at bottom?
Don’t you have the headlight upside down?
Got the same exact one on my 89 XLH 1200, 33$ flEbay ....luv the beam pattern & brightness, wired the 2 color switchback light ring to the turns so it turns white to orange when blinking
These seem like there pretty well made they ain't cheap plastic stuff but idk how the longevity of them are will see.
I just got this light a month ago and showed it to a Harley friend that is familiar with the dealer light. He said it’s the same thing.
Does this fit on UM Renegade Commando??
WhiskeyBeard where did you get the light bar from
Would this work on a Lexmoto Oregon?
I think you have the wires screwed up. The low beam should be the high beam you turned on. when you show low beam, this should be what come up when you turn high beam on.
It's not that the light is upside down I think
Looks like it's a well worth upgrade. Been considering a few options for my ride.
+CLUTCH1st Definitely worth it!
LOOKS GREAT.... BUT DO YOU KNOW Why
it say it does not fit 2017 IRON 883?
+Michael Han no idea. Not aware of anything different from the 2016
Anyone have issues with the halo not working? I heard you have to tap into the yellow wire? Any step by steps?
Yes you have to tap a wire for the halo to work. If you RUclips how to tap a wire I'm positive you'll find a how to
Also I have a question for you about the 1250 kit or something of that nature for a 883 upgrade . Do you think it is really worthwhile to do this . I have a 2009 iron Sportster 883 paid 5500 for it in perfect condition . Would in your opinion would it be cost effective and worth while to do this upgrade . Just asking your opinion. +Jordan Arneson does the switchback have the 5 3/4 inch? I've only heard of the 7 inch lights needing the rings
No it's a 7" but the stock Ring Bracket is made only for the stock light bulb. The ring bracket you get with the Daymaker (or offbrand) I believe is a universal size bracket. It's not the width that is the problem, the bowl that the light sets in is too shallow to fit most types of lights.
Any idea if this will fit my 1992 sportster
I'm trying to squeeze it into my 97 now. I don't think it's gonna work without pulling the wires out of the headlamp bucket and rerouted.
The aftermarket headlights are upside down. The high beam should be on top
The high beam puts the light to the bottom? Are you sure it's not upside down?
it's definitely upside down. there's two parts of text on either side so I just threw it on and guessed.
The video where you're riding afterward is it still upside down? Looks to be but want to make sure.
+MotoZixxer it is but it doesn't have any difference on the low beams once flipped. I have mine aimed a little further out than most since most of my riding is in the city.
I tried to look for a installation video that you may have done for the front led running/turn signals. do you have one?
+Austin Newell negative. They're plug and play man. Stupid easy.
so after having the headlights for a while. is the quality good? not showing fog inside the lense.
+Austin Newell looks and works just as good as day 1
The headlamp is not fit well. You must install the led horizontal to the ground.
😂😂 he's got it upside down. that's why his low beam is almost lighting up the sky. low beam is supposed to point down words, toward the road.
I thought the same. Also on the side by side clip the highbeam lights up the area under the low beam.
0:00 I lived to hear brazilian “bololo ha ha” played in a foreign youtuber video haha. Awesome!
how did you get the light to stay on without both those parts you were holding in your hand???
the interior ring wasn't needed with the new headlight. there were slots cut into the actual headlight that took the place of that. the ring was replaced long ago by that headlight grill. the grill screws into a ring placed on the back of the housing that holds the headlight in place.
+Bike N' Bird so if it wasn't for the headlight grille you think that ring would or wouldnt hold the new headlight on??
it definitely would. It's a direct replacement of the stock headlight
Did you just literally plug the new led light in? You didn't have to do any adjustments for example like doing eletrical adjustments when installing led lights in cars?
+JR LAM yes that's literally all I did. All modern harleys have load adjusters built in for the daymakers so no resisters or anything are needed
Bike N' Bird thanks man, keep up the good work on the channel.
Another Great Video ... now this is a good video because you showed us what it looks like before and after... and road test viewing is a must for us... also you did not tell us how long will this new lighting bulb last?? one year or ten years ???
I’ve been looking at the same light. I’m sold now! Thanks

What size of Allen wrench I need to changed the side lamp on the rear of a Hardly-Davison sporster 1200V 2016
+Carlos Pinzon no Allen wrech just a flat head screw driver.
What does the headlight grille do please?
(Other than reduce light output)
i just picked one of these up do you know what the red wire is supposed to be hooked to if at all? do you know what those triangle shaped lights are for at the top of the light?
+Joey Farmer you can wire that to an accessory wire to turn on the other lights on the headlight
Bike N' Bird i believe the red wire is to provide power to the halo ring on the light. Question is, which white to splice it into?
Tim Andros you splice the red wire to the positive of the standing light. the ground of the standing light just cap it. the red wire will light up the angel eyes or daylight led’s if your led headlight is equipped with them.
Where can I get that compact windscreen/ quarter fairing ? Looked everywhere couldnt find it ! Thank you
Didn't look everywhere since theres a link to it in the description ;)
Bike N' Bird thank you !!!
+nasomaz no problem :)
i just want to ask I got the same headlight and I noticed a red wire coming out of the socket! what to do with it should I cover it ? splice. it? or cut it off?
appreciate your quick response
+xbx2207 it's to power the white triangles. I didn't wire mine up. No need to cover it or cut it off. If you want those to light up you can splice it. If not, just plug and play
Bike N' Bird i thought so.
thanks man ride safe
Just a minor difference my bike is a 2016 model I was surprised to find more cable inside it turns to be for the day running lights in the stock light I didn't noticed it before but unfortunately its a female end so have to splice the wires to make the triangles work properly.
Can I use it in my TVS Suzuki Fiero old model?
Say it please
You need to aim the headlight after installing.
Just fitted mine and it's so much better than stock, great value! RD
I’m kind of a new bike owner. The headlight on my ‘05 Shadow VT1100C is 7 inches. Will this headlight work in it?
+William Carico no sir this is a 5 3/4 inch headlight
hey man really considering getting the same headlight, any updates on how its treating you? thanks man great vid
+simple jack over a year later and still zero issues
I know this video is older but how's the light still holding up?
+spdermnky over 2000 miles later and still zero issues
Bike N' Bird thank you. Keep up the videos!!
+spdermnky thanks man I plan to!
Mate, I may be late to the party but seeing your light pattern on the garage door with the high beam below, it looks like your unit is head down.
great Video ,.Mister Bike n Bird thank you .
het can you add / Give the link to that Great American Eagle Sticker you have Across Your tank , i want to add them to the side of my 883 iron Tank.. thank you in Advance
Gee
+gtrad1 it was a custom decal I don't have a link
I plan to get one on my 883 .
Awesome, review . Thanks
You put ir up side down
I purchased a sunpie daymaker light from amazon and it is awesome. Cant beleive how bright it is and I got it for $45 . Dont buy from the stealership. They want $400 for the same light.
I've heard rumors that sunpie and eurolite use the same manufacturer as HD. Wouldn't doubt it.
Bike N' Bird harley uses jw speaker, they’re American made.
Should come equipped with all LED's. Big difference.
Hey man, how is this holding up?? Been almost 2 years.
Still going strong
Awesome, thank you good sir!
I got the same one and it was easy install and super bright.
nice! I may have to look into getting one for my Bandit if they make them.
totally worth the money
Do it I put one on my sporty bobber and it's 100000 times better after you adjust it to your preference. 👍
Excellent video my friend, thank you for sharing and keep up the fun work.
I hope you have a blessed weekend.
curti o remix do MC binladden no comecinho

+Everhandy orrrrr.... I can ride whatever the hell I want. How bout that?
Of course you can and good luck with your choices.
Looks like you mounded the light upside down. Your high beam should be on top bud.
No it's not upside down. Check Harley's website, shows the light installed exactly the same.
You have fitted it upside down
Upside down & inside out
it is ok
thanks for the demo.. stock lights suck! hopefully LED lightning will become an industry standard for all motorcycle companies
It won't be long. They're becoming cheaper and cheaper every year.
+Bike N' Bird right
I don't think you installed it correctly.
Your stock light was not leveled either haha. Awesome new light though.
all very good only I find my stock light to be bright enough!
cheers mate
made my mind up now
This is great thank you!
You've got it installed the wrong way up.
that got damn ws6!
haha it's actually for sale!
dont sell it. boost it.
Installing this bad bitch right now. Thanks for the video brotha
One comment...... you have the headlight in upside down......... might want to change that.
Yes, it’s upside down for sure....
You have placed it wrong... You need to turn the upside down..!
