I just got the watch, had the watch 4 before. and honestly the 5 pro is awesome!!!!! I have work at 5am-1:30pm, and with the watch 4 at the end of a shift the battery would be at 66% average. But with the watch 5 pro, after my shift, it was 93% !!!!!!!!!! THATS FRICKEN CRAZY BRO. I use the watch for a lot of things, I'd rate myself as a little higher than a average user. and now at 6pm, it's 87%.
The battery life is stubbornly good lol

Great review. Just received my Fold 5 and Watch 5 Pro and am loving them. Lots of screen on time while I've been setting things up, but so far the Watch 5 has been hanging in there strong, even after a mountain bike ride using Strava. May need to add some charge to the phone, tho, to make it through the night. Thanks again for the great review!

3:14 the battery life is so good on this watch that i cant even see a scenario where i would NEED to charge it off my phone.
I just got my Samsung Watch 5 Pro, I do like it a lot.
My watch 5 is coming today. I'm trading up from the watch 3. I loved the Watch 3, mine's still mint. I'm 70 years old and my main interest is the health features. I don't need it to be 100% accurate I want to use it as a kind of warning device. Good vid buddy.

Pretty much stated all the settings in the review. Screen timer on 15 seconds, auto brightness on and that's it. 👌🏿

Great review! Can't wait to get mine on Friday. I hear people are flipping the band inside out to get it on a wireless charger, so they don't have to take the band off. I already have a stainless steel band for it though, so I'll probably be using the puck.

@@jasont9468 I got the titanium gray and I'm loving it. I got the stainless band and it goes around the wireless charger when I have it on there, works perfectly. Flipping the band that came with it also works.

Same' I Much Rather the Digital Bezel an it makes it more durable than the mechanical rotating bezel '
The rotating bezzle is just an extra piece to break on your watch. To think you have to get your whole watch fixed if the best of breaks.

I bought it because of the watch band. My favorite watch band, I even bought 2 of each color. No issues easy to adjusting or taking it off, maybe for the girly finger.
Loved my watch 4 classic. Ive had the 5 Pro for a few days and it's insane! Lighter, more comfortable (for me) looks mint and prefer the touch bezel over the rotating bezel of the 4 classic. I wear my watch all the time for everything and the rotating bezel on the 4 classic was fine but became a bit loose after a while and then broke and stuck so had to be repaired. Much prefer the touch bezel, works great. Definitely worth the upgrade

I Agree " The Touch Bezel is Much Better an Durable than the Mechanical rotating bezel because the rotating bezel can get dirt underneath it an cause turning issues..
I think of the rotating vessel as being an extra part to break on your watch and I watch RUclips a lot about other watches including garmin and The apple watch but owning all of them, you just can't beat the Samsung 5 pro.

Good review. Definitely wouldn't pay £400 odd for it but I got a 15% discount plus traded my very old galaxy active which I got £100 so ended up paying £264 and that also comes with galaxy buds live so was a no brainer!

Great video! I have a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic I got for a steal around $70 last month. The battery life on this new Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is very attractive though - especially with a $240 trade-in offer from Samsung. Any thoughts on a potential upgrade?

I have the galaxy watch 5 pro , ilove the d buckle band its really confortable and I dint have any problems adjusting it
I'm like you and not really a watch person but I'm still loving my Watch 4 Classic. Apart from the battery life you state. I don't think there's need to upgrade at all. If indeed it would be an upgrade. I love the bezel and found on mine that it did seem to get a bit stiffer on rotation though. All I did to cure it was rotate it quite vigorously, backwards and forwards, with the display off. It now seems back to normal.
I think the W4C holds out well for ruggedness compared to the 5 Pro too. I'm a forklift truck driver and always tapping my watch against steel frames and the like. Still not a mark that I can see even close up.

Bumped mine on a wall twice and I have marks on mine. It chipped the paint both times. Interesting you are hitting it on harder things and no marks. Find that hard to believe but hey

I'm probably gonna change the band often, have you changed yours? Does it feel cheap or like a pin or something can break easily if changes often? (for workouts)

Just traded in my Galaxy Gear 3 Frontier for a new silver 5 pro. Couldn't pass up the Black Friday deal. 125 bucks for an old watch that I never use? Sure!
I really liked that frontier and it was probably the best looking smartwatch I've ever seen, looking like a diving watch with that rotating bezel and all, but the battery life pretty much ruined the entire experience. Who needs sleep tracking when your watch has to be on the charger every night.
I'm really looking forward to having a watch that I can wear for days and not worry about it. I think that's the game changer and the only reason why I made this move. Would have never bought the regular 5, it's the same thing as my frontier. Always dead.
It's funny, the d-bickle was no longer in stock so I had to "settle" for the brown leather strap and then I added in a navy blue silicone one as well for working out.
I was watching this other guy showing off various straps with the silver pro 5 and what caught my eye were a couple orange silicone straps... turns out orange silicone looks amazing with that watch. Check it out!

I keep GPS , NFC on but AOD off. It lasts me about 2 days 13hrs. I can't complain as way better than my Watch 3 battery.
I didn't pay £469 I paid £430 but got a £100 knocked off for a trade in.
Did you notice a difference in size, bulk weight on your wrist compared to watch 3. I've been waiting for a comparison of the 2 as I have watch 3 and I wanna get the 5 just not sure if I want the pro or the bigger 5 as no rotating bezel at all now.
@@MrBenjarniSherwin I never used the rotating bezel so that wasn't a problem for me. Some are saying the Watch is chunky but I just don't see it. Its lighter than the Watch 3 too. I'm not sure how I feel about the D Buckle strap yet. Once set up it's easy to put on and off but I feel a normal strap will be more comfortable and I can at least charge it on my Trio pad.

Coming from the small size Watch 4 Classic, my main anger was its crap battery life. Using the Watch 5 Pro for over a week now, the battery life is much better. 2 days only for me but I do have every health sensor on permanently. The heart rate is working continuously for example. The only annoyance is the band, it doesn't lie flat on my Samsung wireless charger, no matter what I do.

Carrying an S-Pen everywhere mightn't be very convenient if you don't have your phone in your pocket to hold the S-Pen in.

The band can actually be charged on you're phone or charging pad..reverse charging it' works. you have to flip it inside out by pressing the button on the inside and the band turned flat ...Samsung just didn't educate their customers
I got the watch 4 and feel like I need my money back after having to cut every corner just to keep a day of battery.

No one can use it so Apple went with Ultra. Samsung put a 5 in the middle.

It's like bad with those gross thick bezels. At least when it had a rotating bezel there was a purpose now it looks dumb. Either keep the rotating bezel or get rid of the thick bezels and make it bezel-less.
Yea but design. Wise who really cares it's a watch you use it whatever your needs so on and so on plus it's huge improvement from the 4 classic the GW5p for my needs long battery life getting past 3 days that's a welcome change 👍

Needed the bezel makes it feel more manly. Guess the needed it to me for all genders why they took it off.. I like it for the GPS and the battery 🔋
I really like you style but you don't do a good review. ....I like the sleep feature but I do not know if it is accurate ?...what are you reviewing then. I mean that is the point. to find out if it is accurate. You can do much better pls put some effort to it. You do have all the rest of the boxes ticked for me so just test the watch.
I love the watch look and battery life but Im really not pleased by the performance/software experience which is still far from being smooth and effortless especially when compared to the Apple watch! Thanks for the review!
Don't use your finger nails to open the strap, pull on the end of the strap, opens easy.

It's a large capacity watch battery, by no means is it "tiny" (when talking talking smartwatches). My GW4 40mm takes about 1.5 hours to charge and it has less than half the battery of the Pro.
And my watch only gets 1 day of battery while the Pro gets 3+ plus. So yes, that's pretty good.
This is not the Galaxy watch 5 or the Galaxy watch 5 pro don’t let them lie to you don’t be fooled by the name this is nothing more than the Galaxy watch active 5 and the Galaxy watch active pro.
There is no true regular pro model, nor is there a classic model.
Samsung has left the Smart WATCH realm, for the more iphone-esque generic fitness watch. Which is actually a bad decision I think because they used to make great looking classic watches… If I wanted a fitness watch I would go for a fitbit or an iwatch…
Is there a company that actually makes a classic watch that looks like a classic watch? Not something that looks like it was sold in the barging bin of Wal-Mart or your local grocery chain store.
HUGE ASS bump on the bottom with more sensors than most people will ever use, or even use at all,….
No true leather or even faux leather bands anymore…now replaced with some silicone garbage or whatever they presented us with

The classic rotation bezel ring has been replaced with bezels from watches 3 yrs ago.
Not a single real improvement. Battery life is ALWAYS SUBJECTIVE TO THE USER… my watch 4 lasts me 2 days most times…
And I don’t consider “upgrades” to the sensors to be true upgrades, seeing when tested amongst the real equipment, it couldn’t have been more wrong… it’s a selling point gimmick tactic that has lasted to long. Not every watch needs the sensors.
Give me a real classic watch samsung, with no sensors, just everything else… like the Asus Zen watch 3 did…not a heart rate monitor to be found on that….juat everything else.
Go back to innovation, not Substitution.
Stop trying to he Apple, us Samsung Knights are with you BECAUSE you were different.
